  1. FWIW, I just spent 4 weeks in 1162, and although I loved the convenience of being near elevators, solarium and pool deck, it can get noisy. It is a service corridor, and the large bins of pool towels, dishware for the solarium, etc are constantly going back and forth at all hours. There is a metal threshold right at the entry and you hear the banging of that ALL THE TIME. If you are somewhere between 1140 and 1152, you shouldn't be affected by that.
  2. It popped up right after I gave the food a bad rating, so I'm guessing it depends on the score. Why would they bother doing it at all if they were getting great reviews about the new menus?
  3. Just received my survey for last week's Jewel cruise and there is a now a section to video record your thoughts about the MDR food and service.
  4. The hogs have planted their butts in the chairs, but that's started a whole new problem.... The pool area is absolutely littered with dirty breakfast plates bowls cups and glasses. Afraid to leave their chair so breakfast is take out! I guess every hog started as a little piggy 🤣🤣
  5. Only way to get double for one cabin is put both kids in one cabin with adult, the other cabin solo adult.
  6. Doesn't this just beg the question....how well was the room cleaned between sailings?
  7. I cruise solo, Easter, Xmas, gty, etc and have never encountered a problem either onboard or shoreside. This sounds like someone not familiar with how to circumvent the system. It's doable.
  8. The way I see it...if you're stupid enough to throw your towel and paperback on a chair at 6am with that sign in your face, don't expect to have it still available at 11. It puts the onus on the pax to do the right thing. I think it also helps empower the attendants to rectify the problem, as many have ignored it to avoid confrontation. I saw 4 people come back yesterday only to find new people in their "reserved" seats. Humbled, they gathered their stuff from the towel station. No drama.
  9. I believe the only restaurants they can't be used at are Hooked and Izumi hibachi
  10. This is the 2nd sea day and it's being enforced. I think the purpose is for people to see reserving chairs is being noticed, and may cause some folks to think twice before doing it again. One can hope 😎
  11. Last month on Oasis they were ruthless, stripping rows of towels and junk
  12. Yesterday was also a sea day and the attendants had no fear of stripping towels and belongings off chairs.
  13. On Jewel, they are placing these on chairs that haven't been occupied for a while. HD said they are fleet wide and just arrived for this sailing.
  14. Then be sure to avoid the smoking areas and you'll be fine
  15. On Jewel presently, they are saying evening service is 4-6 but they are coming back between 6-7 for Pullman service only
  16. Harmony is completed, with both slots and tables. Pics are on fb
  17. Beware of what they call evening service. On Jewel and the 'evening" time is 4-6 pm. When you return from a full day in port, that doesn't work.
  18. I'm on the Jewel right now for 3 sailings. Giovanni's is excellent. So far only once in the MDR, so so. Headliner first night but they do a lot of game shows now, cuts down on outside entertainment. Production show was good and a great variety of music in the Centrum
  19. It's not just teens, I've been seeing this behaviour on 8-12yr also. And I wasn't talking about spring break, 5 weeks on Oasis over Jan/Feb.
  20. Yup yeshiva, I experienced it this year on Oasis and couldn't believe the number of kids on board. Solarium Bistro was designated kosher only, so was unavailable to any one else that week.
  21. Kids sail free..., please stop this promo. I've never experienced so many kids in the months following Xmas break as I have this year. Misbehaving, rude and pushy. I had 2 young teens at 4am harass me for any cash I had on me cause they wanted to go back to the arcade and had no money left. Hellooo, parents?
  22. I'm not sure why you are even booked on one of their sailings
  23. yup, happened on Oasis. Wouldn't bring individual 2nd entrees until first was done, but brought a pasta dish for table sharing.
  24. it's not per person, $18 one way period, 3 of us FIT in the cab
