  1. When we visited Oslo on a cruise, we also had it all planned out starting with the ferry. But that morning the ferry was not running due to high winds!
  2. Meanwhile, NCL claims this is not a tender port for our Prima cruise.. Everything I have read says it is except for the smallest ships. The Prima is smaller than the ships NCL had been building, but it is in no way a small ship.
  3. I hope you did not complain about the chocolate covered strawberries. 🤣🤣
  4. I agree that if one is willing to complain, they should also be willing to give praise where it is due.
  5. @UKstages, you said there would be more. Hope it will show up soon. As we are booked and paid for a cruise on the Prima in August, I would really like to hear the rest of your observations.
  6. So, my passport has my full middle name. The credit card that I paid final payment has just my first and last names. The credit card I paid the initial deposit and will probably use on the ship has first name, middle initial, and last name. Will I have a problem?
  7. But note that they are not allowed to post those lesser fares; you have to call to find out about them.
  8. Thanks, if you do not eat meat, Indian food provides some extra options to choose.
  9. Ugh! For my DW's sake, I guess I should be glad she has no sense of smell. (Not covid related, she just never has had much sense of smell)
  10. Yes, at what point, I guess fingers and brain were not in sync when I typed that. 🤦‍♂️ Thanks for your prompt answer. I think of new as brand new, first few cruises. We will be sailing on the Prima in August; I guess that is right on the border of you definition of new.
  11. We went on a Bob Marley bus excursion with a different cruise line, and had a wonderful time. We were glad we got to see a part of Jamaica that those of you who never leave the gated port area never see. And we felt perfectly safe. We also did a land trip to Jamaica and stayed at the only resort run by the locals (no longer in existence) back in 1997 for our 20th anniversary. We also totally enjoyed that and never felt threatened.
  12. At one point do you consider a ship no longer a new ship? The Prima is relatively new, but not brand smacking new.
  13. OK. BTW, I have enjoyed reading your posts and your story telling and look forward to more. And as you I am sure can see from reading some of the responses, there are those who are not teady to read a novel. Some of us have more patience than others.
  14. I don't think having to press start again after you open a dryer door is unique to Princess. In fact, I think it basically applies to all dryers.
  15. So, basically the right hand did not know what the left hand had done.
  16. Can anyone who has sailed on the Prima report if there is Indian food available?
  17. Beautiful pictures. I'd bet no one would complain if you posted even more of them. 😊
  18. I was about to post basically the same thing citing staff shortages, but you beat me to it.
  19. I wish I could give both a thanks and a HA HA. I specifically did a math example.
  20. OP here, and that was exactly what I was doing. Gave you a thank you, but also decided it needed to a post with an additional thank you.
  21. The ports in Norway on this cruise are Bergen, Alesund, and Geiranger.
  22. Wow, not admitting and correcting mistakes is a sure fire way to make sure you do not have a repeat customer. Glad you got it fixed, though you did not deserve the hassle and the seeming attitude from Guest Services. I can see why you have trouble using the term "Services" when referring to them. And you have provided another reason why using a TA can be important. BTW, the TA we generally use once said to me if you have problems, don't let it ruin your cruise, contact me afterwards to get it fixed.
  23. We were in the Czech Republic on a land trip, and taxis would not take cards. Our hotel arranged a limousine for us to an attraction we wanted to visit. And it even ended up costing less than a taxi ride would have cost. (We were also told that there would not be cabs to take us back, but that would be downhill and not a problem to walk. And they were right.)
  24. Do any of these other stores advertise FREE? And then FREE becomes $50 off?
