  1. I'd be excited by all the trivia, and DW would be ecstatic about the ballroom dance hour. There was nothing like that on our last HAL cruise! I wonder how she as a (retired) art teacher would feel about adult coloring. And BTW, I do not know how much longer I can remain patient in this lotus position waiting for you to contact Hank. 😉😉
  2. Since you actually know the answers to the OP's questions, you are obviously NOT a HAL phone representative. 🤣
  3. It is the same business model as printers, sell the ink, or razors, sell the blades.
  4. Or until some incident happens when a real muster needs to be called, and neither the crew or the passengers are trained enough to make it work.
  5. OK, I can understand that, but still why not let those who do have their passports share the information with NCL?
  6. I already got that e-mail for our August cruise, and now I can see middle names for both DW and me when I am on my NCL. It still does not sit right with me that they would not need our passport information before booking our flights.
  7. One other question---will there be a reminder of any sort on my NCL, or do I just have to mark it on the calendar?
  8. OK, thanks. I just thought they would have to have the passport information for buying the airplane tickets.
  9. I understand ashes to ashes, dust to dust. But I have trouble understanding ashes to ice cream. 🤦‍♂️
  10. When I go to my NCL and click on online check in, it says it can start 21 days prior to departure and must be completed by 3 days before departure. But doesn't NCL need some of the information I would be inputting such as our passport information as they are booking our international flights?
  11. Of course, we don't, but if there is no proof of its effectiveness, why even have it other than "it is required by law". @chengkp75 who had a career as a chief engineer on cruise ships has posted several times that the traditional muster drill provides essential training for the crew.
  12. There are also sometimes senior citizen rates.
  13. It has worked in the past, for example the fire on the Star Princess. There is no proof the new drill is at all effective.
  14. We were going to do this in 2020, but of course the cruise was a no go. We did something similar in 2014, Dover to Heathrow by way of Canterbury. They did drop off by every terminal that was needed by the passengers on the bus. We were about the last drop off, and I did worry a little as our flight time was just past Princess' deadline for being on the tour, but it turned out that I did not need to worry. One thing I can say for sure is that this type of trip back to the airport makes it feel like you are still on your vacation, not the sad feeling of the cruise is over.
  15. That should be 9 people out of the shareholders who applied for credit and had very cheap casino rates, not 9 out of the thousands on the ship.
  16. Interesting. Of course we all know that Princess IT is messed up. I guess they can't even figure out the same passengers are double booked. 🤦‍♂️
  17. I have now meditated on your words and came up with the following: What do you want me to do To do for you to see you through? A box of rain will ease the pain And love will see you through. Just a box of rain wind and water Believe it if you need it If you don't just pass it on. Sun and shower, wind and rain In and out the window Like a moth before the flame. And it's just a box of rain I don't know who put it there Believe it if you need it Or leave it if you dare. It is wonderful that life's mysteries can be solved by the music and lyrics of the Grateful Dead. 😊
  18. I am both impressed and confused by your answer. I think I shall have to fully meditate upon it.
  19. Whatever the reason, it does seem odd that the OP is not getting better pricing through a TA. I know we always do, and especially on Princess which allows TAs to discount fares.
  20. Will their system actually let you do that in that order? Or will it kick it out seeing you are already booked? Once we had a Princess cruise booked way in advance for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was in advance of when airline schedules were out for the time period. Our TA advised us to book EZ Air to make sure we had airline reservations, and then when airfares came out, check them out. He said we could always delete the EZ Air before final payment. I found a great airfare special online, but every time I tried it, I got a technical difficulty pop-up. After several unsuccessful attempts, I called the number shown in case you had technical difficulties. The first thing the airline representative said to me after I explained was my wife's name. I had not given this to her. It seems the flight with the special rate I had found was one that Princess had already booked us, and they could not book us as we were already booked. I explained to her that we had only paid a deposit to the cruise line and could cancel the flight reservation until final payment. She advised me to cancel and then do the special internet rate. I told her I did not at any point want to not have a flight, and she finally cancelled and rebooked us at the new rate making me promise to call our TA and let him know we had cancelled the flight through Princess, which of course I did right after hanging up. The point is computers will kick out a new reservation in the same names as people who already have a reservation.
  21. Ah, I see, but now my question is what is the question he is answering. I am stumped, please help.
  22. I think you hit the nail directly on the head. 😊
  23. Another answer that makes no sense towards the questions being asked. But why am I not surprised? 😉
