  1. I don't suppose you know where they will be on the new ship, the Prima.
  2. You are assuming they want to come back to the US. 🤣😉
  3. What is the world coming to if sales reps do not want to make sales? I wonder if they work on commission.
  4. I don't think it came later yesterday, but it was pouring snow when I woke up the morning.
  5. Part of the cost was made back by the dividend, which was paid, and in fact at one point doubled, before the disastrous consequences of Covid.
  6. Right, an empty cabin brings in no revenue. Once on the ship HAL and all other cruise lines hope you will spend lots of money onboard.
  7. Either call or e-mail your TA and tell him or her to inform HAL. Or you could do it yourself, but then you might be on hold for a while.
  8. Not always $100. It can be as low as $50, and as high as $250. See my post #5 in this thread.
  9. I feel so lucky that we got to Peru and Machu Picchu in 2019 on a land trip. Who knows when travelers will be able to safely go there again. Also, St. Petersburg, we were there on a cruise in 2007 and took a private tour. Again who knows when cruises will go there again, if ever.
  10. I showed your pictures to DW, and she said "I'll go there". Bruges is a stop on our London (Southampton) to Reykjavik itinerary this summer.
  11. Wouldn't it be safe to say that getting into a lifeboat is usually not the outcome of a real call to muster?
  12. The CCL stock credit applies to all lines owned by the corporation. It is $50 for cruises 6 days or less, $100 for cruises 7-13 days, $250 for cruises 14 days or more.
  13. We shall see. I think the key word in there is that it was always meant to be TEMPORARY due to Covid. If it does change back, it will be interesting to see what the reaction of the majority of passengers will be. My guess is that a majority will not like it, while a minority will realize it is for their safety.
  14. Our TA has told me he only does OBC for that very reason. That allows the passenger to choose what to use it for as opposed to it has to be the spa or it has to be a bottle of wine, etc.
  15. Our TA once said to me if there is any issue with stuff like OBC, instead of letting it ruin the cruise, contact him afterwards and let him handle it.
  16. WOW! That's amazing. You may very well have just set a record for fastest OBC confirmation.
  17. And the crew I am sure had to deal with it, just like they would in a real emergency.
  18. And tell him Cousin Lenny from the Quixote branch of the family sent us? Also, tell him to send the bill to you? 😊
  19. We once had a river cruise booked and paid for, and then it was chartered out. The company did try by offering us a different cruise in an upgraded cabin. I am sure they considered it a great offer that was more expensive than what we had booked. However, if you want to see Amsterdam and the Netherlands, cruising on the Danube does not work. I finally called and told them we needed the credit back on our card because we intended to fly to Amsterdam and vacation there. (The second part was true, but we did have enough credit.) The customer service representative said she would do us a favor and have the credit back the following Monday. (I called on a Friday.) They cancelled the cruise for us by chartering it. Yet they though it was a favor to return our payment to our credit card!
  20. And that includes passengers who really do not want to participate in the muster drill.
  21. Isn't it amazing how a charge will go from pending to posted in a day or two days maximum, but a credit will take a "minimum of eight weeks".
  22. It may have been theater for the passengers, but as @chengkp75 has reminded us several times, it is the only practice that the crew gets actually working with passengers to get them to their proper places.
