Once onboard try and find a seat in the Piazza and get something to eat from the IC, washed down with a cold Peroni whilst watching the Muster Drill video, then find our Muster point to get that done as soon as possible.

I'm in the UK and have already booked a cruise for April next year so my Ocean Ready is showing as picking up the medallion at the port. Assuming this change is implemented for UK travellers before April 2024 will I have the optionto/be able to elect to have the medallion mailed to me instead.

Had excellent service the last three times I've phoned them, pretty prompt at answering the phone, very helpful and sorted out my queries without any problem. The only thing that I do find frustrating is the option you are given for Princess to call you back instead of waiting in a queue, done it a couple of times, and on both occasions never received the return call

Pretty good choice of cabin, we've stayed in cabins close to the lifts and stairways and have never had any problems with noise. If you don't mind aft cabins there are a set of standard balcony cabins on Dolphin deck that have double size balconies. Whatever you choose I'm sure you will have a great cruise, there is a lot of stunning scenery. We are booked for the Fjords in April next year, can't wait.

Just as an update Spoke with Customer Services and explained what I wanted to do and was able to downgrade from a mini suite to a premium deluxe balcony by paying a £59 cancellation fee, which considering the amount that I now owe on the fare, which has been reduced by a fair old bit, I'm pretty satisfied.

Thank all you so much for the information

Booked a mini-suite, later found out that this was a Club Class mini suite, in order to accommodate our son. He has now decided to bring a friend and has booked a separate cabin for the both of them. Apart from the reserved dining I'm not that bothered about having a mini suite and now thinking about downgrading to a Premium Deluxe Balcony stateroom mainly for their larger balconies as it's a cruise to the Fjords and would probably spend more time on the balcony. I know the club class mini suites have larger balconies but looking at the deck plans our's doesn't seem significantly larger than a standard balcony. Would I be able to downgrade. TIA

I have to admit that I have had brilliant service on the last two calls I've made to the UK customer service. I've had to make a couple of tricky changes to out forthcoming cruise and both times the phone was answered within a few minutes and they were sorted out in a professional and very helpful, and with good humour. In fact I even said to the person on the line that it was a pleasure to speak to her.

We have been in a mini suite twice, first time on Regal, two years ago, we had a half bottle of something fizzy. The last time was back in April this year on a 5 day cruise, this time we didn't receive anything of a fizzy nature. Perhaps they don't offer this on shorter cruises

Thanks for putting up all those great photos. We are going to the Fjords on Sky next April, this will be our second cruise there but apart from Stavanger these we will be new locations. Really looking forward to it -
Just got an email outlining the "NEW" offerings
jdacombe replied to canadarocks's topic in Princess Cruises
Yes I got the Daily Telegraph offer email as well. Surprised they haven't included it in the Plus or Premium packages. -
Sustainable Medallion Wrist Strap Question...

Yes it just pops out, as Spongerjoe says it's harder getting them in -
Unpopular Opinion: I'm excited about the changes to Plus and Premier
jdacombe replied to drwbrt's topic in Princess Cruises
The two meal limit seems certainly unfair for those on longer cruises, we only do a 7 or 8 day one so that doesn't really affect us a great deal. I don't know, maybe (or whether it's even possible) the amount of these casual meals could be increased pro-rata according to the length of the cruise eg; 3 (or even 4) for a 14 day cruise and so on. -
Thanks for the info will look forward to it

With post COVID cruising now well underway does anybody know if the Champagne tower/cascade in the Piazza has restarted

Only ever had OBC once a couple of years ago and we already had the Plus package DW spent hers on a week in Spa, I had $60 still left on the last day so bought a pair of Sketchers with it, best bit of money I've spent in a long time, still wear them almost daily and still have a lot of wear left in them.

Whether as an appetiser or main I love the Fettuccine. Onion soup is always a good bet. On our cruise on Enchanted I had a filet mignon on the Formal night, really tender, in fact I enjoyed it more than the one I had in the Crown Grill on Regal a couple of years ago

We were on the Plus package on Sky in April and my wife had a Gelato that was not charged to our account, so perhaps they are doing that in lieu of the desserts

Amsterdam - (proposed) closing cruise ship terminal
jdacombe replied to LouCoop's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
Does the fact that cruise ships are now getting bigger and bigger with passenger capacities in excess of 6,000 have any impact on these decisions -
So does this mean that all passengers departing from Southampton will automatically be in the Blue Lane as all medallions are collected at the Terminal

Just realised that I have booked a Reserve Collection stateroom by mistake, although I'm not disappointed by any means. Without wanting to sound grasping I was just wondering if anybody knew if the glass of that fizzy stuff you get in a mini suite is in addition to the wine set up that comes with the Reserve Collection minisuites ........ or is it case of one or the other.
