  1. I know the sofa beds in mini suites are large and can accommodate a fully grown adult, does anybody have any experience of the sofa beds in the Premium Deluxe cabins- are they the smaller two seater love seats that can be found in standard and deluxe cabins.
  2. We were on Sky in April and on the Plus package. My wife had a gelato and was never charged for it, so I'm assuming that it is covered by the Plus package.
  3. A spot of advice if possible please: Have booked a cruise for next April with my wife in a standard balcony cabin and our eldest son now also wants to come along with a friend. Unfortunately his friend is now unable to come, and I'm thinking of options for him: a. See if he can find another friend to join him and share the cost of the cruise b. Goes solo in a cabin, which would mean a solo fare of nearly £2.5K c. He stays in a cabin with us, which would mean we would need to upgrade our cabin to either a Premium Balcony Cabin or a Mini Suite. He's pretty tall (6ft+) so I think the love seats in the balcony cabins would be too small for him, so a mini suite would be the best option. If he chooses option c. could I just pay the extra for the upgrade and his fare, or would I have to cancel my booking altogether and re-book a mini suite for the three of us. Grateful for any help (although I think I know what the answer maybe)
  4. Good question. We are on Sky next April and our vegan son is thinking of coming along again. The last time, on Enchanted, he did have some issues on a couple of occasions and didn't see a specific vegan menu. It would be a welcome addition if this were fleet wide
  5. I recently took advantage of the 50% reduction on the Plus package for 2024 cruises and booked an 8 day Norwegian Fjords cruise for next April. My sons and partners are also interested in this cruise and I said I would help fund it. Having looked into the possibility of getting the same stateroom as me and my wife (standard aft balcony) I notice that the fare has now gone up by around £250 in a matter of a few weeks ( From £2498 to £2748) Has anybody noticed this increase
  6. Booked for Fjords next April, my son is interested in coming and has asked a question that, as a non-swimmer (I'm ashamed to say) unable to answer. Does anybody know if the swimming pools are heated as the weather may be a tad cool at that time of year.
  7. We did a half day pass a couple of years ago on Regal. We were treated to afternoon tea, and had several staff come around asking if we wanted drinks. I believe the only way to book is in person on the ship, but be very quick to do it as it can get fully booked very quickly.
  8. No problem at all in wearing shorts, I live about 25 miles north of Portland and wear shorts 9 months of the year. Agree what others have said about flip flops on shore, would not recommend it. If Portland is on your itinerary there are several good attractions in the area, a couple: The Nothe Fort, the old harbour area in Weymouth, if you are able to do so visit Portland Bill or get a view of the stunning Chesil Beach
  9. Yes, agree. We were on a short cruise a couple of weeks ago and only had to show our passports. Embarkation was very efficient and quick.
  10. Yes, I believe he asked for no cheese toppings. He was quite impressed with tge quality of the food there. Actually it was Zizis@on the Enchanted
  11. My son had very mixed experiences last August, in the IC he saw a pie advertised as vegan, when he selected it he found that the pastry had been egg washed, he queried this and to Princess's credit they changed the title to Vegetarian. He had mixed experience in the MDR, on two occasions he received some very good vegan food, however on one of the formal nights he received food containing dairy products and was offered unsatisfactory alternatives, he ended up with a salad and a vegan dessert. Had no problem when eating at Alfredos.
  12. Wife and I had Covid for two weeks prior to our cruise, we both tested negative about 8 days before boarding. Just to be on the safe side we both took an online laboratory conducted test the night before and both got our Fit To Travel certificates. At the terminal we were not requested to show any proof of negative tests or any health declaration.
  13. Thank both for the info. I'm sure it will get sorted out one way or another
  14. We are due to do a short 4 day cruise on Saturday. On previous occasions there has been a Health Declaration form that had to be completed on the App within 24 hours of departure. Whether it is just me being thick but I can find no trace of this anywhere on the app. Does anybody know if this still exists or is there another method ie; completion at the terminal on the day. Many thanks for any help
  15. We have booked this 4 dayer as we wanted to get a well deserved short break. Hadn't given it a thought about it being a "booze cruise" until it was mentioned.
  16. Sandia en Feugo Captain's Bounty 24 Carat Margarita
  17. Well done, hope you all enjoy the upgrade By coincidence I received an email today from Princess to say that we have been upgraded from a deluxe balcony to a mini suite, it's a couple of decks higher but mid-ship location, so not grumbling at all.
  18. I've had 3 cruises with the medallion and have had no problem at all with my pacemaker. I wear it with one of those watch strap accessories. The only thing that I make sure I do is to let the security staff know that I have a pacemaker on embarkation and returning to the ship from the ports.
  19. Exactly what I did on our last cruise
  20. Had the same thing yesterday, showed Blue Lane in the morning and then back to Green Lane late afternoon.
  21. Maybe the Plus package will be further extended to include after cruise dental treatment and a diabetes check.
  22. Usually a Peroni in the Piazza, but next time around may change to either a Captain's Bounty or 24 Carat Margarita. Love both of them
  23. Hi, I wonder if anyone can provides a bit of information on this. I've just received a Viking brochure giving details of some excellent cruises for 2024/25 and am definitely interested in a couple of them. Does Viking have the option, after the initial deposit, of making monthly payments towards paying the balance of the fare as opposed to paying the final balance in one go. Many thanks for any help and advice
  24. Many thanks for the info, much appreciated
