  1. On the Solstice in Cabo as we speak the ship changes to local time. Time arriving and last time therefore is the same on the ship and on land.
  2. Thank you for your review. It was comprehensive and to the point. I think you fairly judged all the aspects of the ship. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
  3. Free drinks in the casino WHILE playing Is available to everyone and has nothing to do with a comped casino cruise. You have to order the drinks from a server, not at the casino bar, and you must be actively playing a table game or have money active in a slot machine.
  4. I've been on all 3 Edge class ships and they are all the same, the bifold doors don't do anything. As a previous post shows they aren't airtight, they are just cosmetic. If you look at Royal's new icon of the seas the IV rooms on that ship don't even have bifold doors just curtains to separate the space. The point of the curtains on the Icon and the bifold doors on Celebrity is just to create the illusion of a separate space. Nothing more.
  5. There's a definitive answer. The bifold doors are cosmetic and have no function whatsoever other than it create an illusion of a separate room. No more, no less. There's only one person on cruise critic that seems to think they know something that is wrong. Why they continue to spread lies id beyond me.
  6. The beds on the E-Class standard cabins are larger than the M or S standard cabins.
  7. TBH the PDF map that's attached to the post is far superior to the guide that the ship issues. Just printout the one attached and take it with you. The ship's guide only tells you what deck and whether something is forward, midship or aft but it doesn't really show you how to get there, where exactly things are located. I don't find those little guides helpful in the least.
  8. The only solution is for all of you to eat in the MDR.
  9. https://vinepair.com/spirits-101/liqueurs-and-cordials/#:~:text=Liqueurs are basically liquors that,sweet%2C non-alcoholic liquid.
  10. On E-class ships the coffee from the Spa Cafe in the solarium is from an automatic machine that makes espresso based-coffee. I don't think the M-class spa cafes have this machine and I'm not sure of the spa cafe coffee machine on S-class ships.
  11. FALSE INFORMATION. I have been on all 3 E-class ships in an IV cabin and that is 100% incorrect. The bifold doors do not have any sensors. The sensors that turn the AC on and off are in the window. Please stop spreading lies.
  12. Yes, it's a change in policy. Having said that there's always servers available to get you a drink, it was never an issue. The tweak in the policy is free drinks while playing, as opposed to last year where you were able to just walk up to the casino bar, order a drink, and never gamble a cent.
  13. No, that can't be done. There are tracks on both sides of pleated shades to guide them so they go up and down smoothly and stay in place.
  14. When was the last time you disembarked a Celebrity ship PAST 9:30am? When, where, and what ship?
  15. Not an issue, don't worry about it. To be precise though, the HH drinks cannot be ORDERED in any restaurant or the buffet and a handful of bars are excluded. Whatsmore, It's not available on embarkation day and the drinks are ordered from a special menu. But once you order it from the bar you can drink it anywhere, For example, you can order cocktail, and a few minutes later order a bottle of water, and a few minutes later can of soda. Ask the cans not to be opened, and you can take them back to your room, another bar, or any restaurant, or pool deck.
  16. One shouldn't have to do that. I have top status on Carnival and their free laundry is either same day of next day. On our recent Carnival Celebration cruise, their flagship, we handed in laundry on the 2nd to last day around 11am and got it back at 6pm.
  17. What ship are you on? Sounds like you made individual reservations every night? Whatever the case yes, you can request a table for two or ask to join a group. Sometimes if it's busy they may preemptively ask if you want sit with others if they don't have a separate table available.
  18. It's a very strange review to be sure. It's obvious that they were actually on the Beyond but I don't know what their previous cruise experience was. Take for instance the comment about coffee in the morning. What the reviewer was commenting on and experienced Celebrity cruisers know is that the coffee machine in the Spa Cafe area is an automatic machine that makes expresso-based coffees which is complementary. They found that but they then conflate it with Cafe Al Bacio which of course is a pay venue. The coffee served at the buffet is drip coffee. Then they go on to mention that their prior experience was morning coffee stations placed on every other deck on the ship. I don't know of any mainstream cruiseline that does that or used to do that.
  19. I think the reviewer's issue with the E-class is the lack of an Aft elevator bank and stairs, so the walking distances from the two elevator banks can be very long. The logic they use is nonsensical because even the smallest and oldest cruiseships use the same cabin and hallway design, there's no way around that. They just didn't know how to explain their frustration with only having two elevator banks so they came up with an explanation that is uninformed and just wrong.
  20. There's only one beach club on Bimini. The Hilton Hotel at Resorts World has their own pools but it's not on the beach. So there's a separate casino building, a Hilton hotel with their own pool, individual bungalows and then the beach club which is a joint development by Resorts World and Virgin.
