  1. No, it shouldn't. Your email is tied to your Mariner number. However, with HAL's tech issues I wouldn't be surprised if it did show up at a different price.
  2. On our most recent HAL cruise the last sets from BB Kings or Rolling Stone started at 10:45 and ended 45 minutes later. A DJ took over after that but I don't know how late they played because I was usually ready to go back to the cabin by midnight.
  3. If you're watching another table for an entire meal you are also ignoring your dinner companions.
  4. Anytime! Have fun learning about cruising. It does have its quirks compared with land travel but it can be so enjoyable.
  5. Hi Heather, welcome to Cruise Critic! You can request your preferred seating before your cruise. Contact your travel agent or HAL and make your request. There is a choice of an early seating or a late seating for fixed dining. You may or may not get what you request but, if not, you may ask again when you're onboard. In the future make that request when you book. Carol
  6. I would vote no on this. It is just too tight of a space for four adults to maneuver about the cabin, share a bathroom etc. And at night with the extra bed folded out, it is even more difficult to navigate your way to the bathroom.
  7. As far as I know, none of the Holland America ships have glass on the railings of the promenade decks or the aft view by the seaview pool.
  8. Added bonus to waiting until you are onboard is using OBC!
  9. Did you talk with anyone about this while you were onboard?
  10. What a nice review! I'm glad that you and your family had a wonderful time.
  11. We did not tender in Trondheim on the NS in May. Not our ship
  12. Q1 - No! A passport does not replace needing a visa. Both would be needed if a visa is required. Q.2 Correct Q3 - No, the passport is not required when you book but will be required as a part of your online check in process prior to the cruise (if required for the cruise). Your passport will certainly open up some wonderful new opportunities for travel! Enjoy!
  13. Thanks so much for the information! We're not going until 2025 but I enjoy planning😊
  14. That looks like a great alternative to Volunteer Point! Did you get a price? Thanks!
  15. I find that is the best way to find the official port schedule. I haven't found other sites to be as reliable.
  16. Maybe it goes to the people who clean it? Wash the towels and robes? Similar to cabin steward and other laundry duties.
  17. That was the case for us in Amsterdam in May. We were given a time frame to check in at the muster station.
  18. The only OBC I know for sure that is refundable is that which is given to us by our travel agent.
  19. If you have refundable OBC you can cash it out and tip them directly. But otherwise I'm not sure how it could be done. I hope someone else can offer a better suggestion!
  20. I have read that on one of the roll calls I've been going thru for excursion ideas for our 2025 trip. Sorry I can't remember which country it was but it seemed to be a requirement. I hope someone with a better memory or first hand knowledge will come along with a more definitive answer for you but I do know I have read that on CC before.
  21. Our TA can arrange for late dinning for us. I would imagine she could do early dinning if that is what we wanted.
  22. It is available in ST. Thomas https://coralworldvi.com/dolphin-splash-swim/
  23. I thought the Military OBC was only available for new bookings only. Is that not the case?
