  1. Encore maybe, but the Bliss has a Spice H2O. Encore is the only BA/BA+ ship to not have Spice H2O...
  2. Inside the big box are the boxes containing the test kits, each is sealed individually. THAT seal is the one they want to verify the integrity of.
  3. Is it on the list of perks for the room? If it isn't, don't expect it. I don't think even The Haven includes packaged water to last the whole cruise.
  4. There are at least 4 screens on each deck where you can do show, activity, dining and excursion reservations, 2 in each stair lobby (so 2 forward and 2 aft, your back is to the stairs while using the screen). You can also do them from the TV in your cabin and I believe there's a table set up on deck 6 on embarkation day where you can also sign up.
  5. They will if you request it. or, in the case of NCL, a deviation CREDIT if using the BOGO airfare perk. Deviation requests up to 2 days pre/post cruise will be credited $25 USD per person per deviation
  6. Looking at this cabin tour video (shown around the 2:30 mark) it seems to be a common size to the Joy and Bliss. I've been on those ships, my Samsung Tab S7 JUST fits in it.
  7. I thought that might be it (mentioned in my previous post). it's in the same place as a room marked as 'Library' on the Bliss deck plan.
  8. and yet still not what the OP is looking for I guess (we both suggested this space but I couldn't recall if there were books there as I never looked). Seems to imply they didn't or won't bring their own books.
  9. There may be some books in the Chess and Card room just aft of guest services. If not there, maybe in the conference & card room on the starboard side just forward of the internet cafe.
  10. That's fine, but as I noted in my original response earlier today - this is maybe something that should be communicated BEFORE the flights are booked. I get that it's an unusual routing, but we're in very unusual times. Consider this - you're flying to a cruise out of Seattle, leaving from Vermont and you have a court order requiring that you not enter the state of Georgia for any reason. Would you consider, at all, that NCL would book a flight through Atlanta, considering there are other, more Northern, hub cities between Vermont and Seattle? Would you consider telling NCL about your court order in that situation? My point is that this is as much on you (or whoever booked that passenger) for not communicating any restrictions, however outrageous of a situation as it might have been to be considered a possibility.
  11. NCL contracts with a "port agent" at each port, usually a company. They know in advance what that contract is, they should be able to make arrangements for this through them so that the luggage can be retrieved from the airport by the agent/agency or delivered by the airline to the agent at the port so that it can then be loaded on the ship when it arrives. I have to wonder if the agent/agency was contacted but was actually the entity that "dropped the ball". If that's the case, who is the complaint with? There are potentially MANY points of failure in that process, it could be difficult to pin full fault on any one of them.
  12. So, how was NCL supposed to know this prior to booking the flights? Was this information provided to the agent used to book the trip? In a situation where a particular location is a no-go zone I feel like booking flights yourself would be the best way to go. Sure, nobody EXPECTS to fly from Spain to Africa in order to get to someplace in the US, but air travel is a s**t-show right now so nothing is really surprising.
  13. I have a small Leatherman that's part of my EDC at home, it stays home when I travel.
  14. Your question is answered in the second item in the FAQ on the sail-safe page - https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe Individuals that test positive within 90 days of their scheduled embarkation date are exempted from the pre-arrival testing. They must have one of the below acceptable forms of COVID-19 Recovery (dated no less than 10 days and no more than 90 days (US) & 180 days (EU) before the date of embarkation) available during check-in. For European Citizens, this would include an EU Green Pass or comparable certificate. For all others unable to present an EU Green Pass (i.e., US Citizens) a doctor’s note, plus a laboratory-confirmed PCR test result with the proper information (i.e., Name, Date, Date of Birth, Positive Result, etc.) COVID-19 Recovery must be dated no less than 10 days and no more than 90 days (US embarkation) & 180 days (EU embarkation), documentation must be available during check-in. Bermuda government does not allow certificate of recovery in lieu of negative test result. It appears the OP is going to Bermuda (per their difficult-to-read forum signature), per the info I posted above the COR is NOT acceptable.
  15. Both of these are answered in the NCL promo terms & conditions - https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions Beverage package is guests 1-8. Dining credits are 1 or 2 depending on stateroom.
  16. I'm not sure I've seen anyone report that NCL was running a sale on the drink package, not like Royal does on theirs...
  17. I cruised in March, if 10% of my fellow passengers wore masks it was a lot (I didn't either) but EVERY crew member did, except those running a game in the Atrium (and they put one back on when it came time for a passenger to be nearby) or on stage in the theater. On shore, masks were requested in shops but not strictly enforced (primarily speaking of Roatan, Honduras and Cozumel, Mexico) though on my excursion in Cozumel we were asked to be wearing masks when not on the bus. I did come home with general cold symptoms but I took 3 at-home COVID tests over the course of the next 5 days and all were negative.
  18. No taller than any other ship in the fleet if they plan on having it home-port in NY at any point in its life...
  19. I do. Funny story on that. I was in Mexico City for work a few years ago, 2 of the 3 of us that were there were on our first trip there. We were getting cash from the ATM in the facility where we were working, so we could go on a weekend excursion (as we were there for a week, spanning across a weekend), the two of us that hadn't been there before had no trouble getting cash while the 'veteran' was getting declined. Turns out WE had informed our banks, but HE had not.
  20. And as someone that lives somewhere other than one of the 5 boroughs, Bayonne is not such an inconvenience. Could the infrastructure use some upgrades? Heck yes! That 2-lane road going out to the terminal could be a bottle-neck, but we don't need to deal with the surface street traffic in NYC. Don't even get me started on the nightmare that is the Red Hook terminal in Brooklyn! I've driven someone there once, not sure if I could find again without GPS (which usually isn't a problem for me).
  21. Shall I summon the engineer to explain? There's always airflow of some kind into the room, there's no question about that. The air that you control with the thermostat device I believe DOES get shut off, or at least reduced in effectiveness when the card is removed. This may depend on the ship as @GeezerCouple indicated.
  22. That's your decision to make. As a point of reference (and @BirdTravels I think has scans of some of their slips from previous cruises) MY meals at a-la-carte venues have run upwards of $80 average if I were to have paid out of pocket, for ONE person. If I wanted to go to specialty for more than I had credits for I would probably use the credits on a-la-carte and then out of pocket the cover charge venues. One a-la-carte venue I definitely wouldn't spend a dining credit on is Q, if it's on the ship you're sailing on. I'm not saying it's not worth going to, the food was good and the theming of the venue is amazing, but the value just isn't there like it is at other venues.
  23. You just need to make the reservation, they don't really care WHO is there for it until you show up at that time and they're looking to apply the credit or charge the account for a particular passenger. As a solo cruiser I could book a table for 10 before the cruise and then invite folks from the solo gathering.
