  1. On the Escape in March I was in line around 8:15 for the 9:30 show and I was right at the elevator lobby!!
  2. You might find info on the port in the Dominican Republic port forum - https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/280-dominican-republic/
  3. Also unlike Royal, NCL's prices for these items are the same across the fleet, so the price on a Breakaway-class NCL ship may still be better for some things than Royal's on an Oasis-class ship. Mine as well. I'm traveling with an NCL first-timer (a CRUISE first-timer actually) and made certain to book Le Bistro for one meal.
  4. On the pool deck? I haven't sailed the Encore. You could go find live threads from Encore sailings to look at the dailies and find the answer..
  5. I suggest browsing the NCL FAQ, this info and more is covered there - https://www.ncl.com/faq
  6. Day 3 and day 6 on my March cruise from Port Canaveral on that ship.
  7. But it can be done this way, which makes it MUCH more clear, and then when you're quoted by clicking the quote button the other comment isn't attributed to you...
  8. The issue with that, if people want the M&G's to continue, is that the M&G as we know it was a courtesy given by nature of being affiliated with CC. No CC, no M&G. Maybe people want that, IDK. Anyone organizing a M&G strictly through the other site (but trying to get the benefits of the CC M&G) is doing so disingenuously. I thought at one point that CC didn't want people cross-organizing the M&G on CC and that other site, but it seems to be a common practice now just so they can get the participation numbers up to qualify for setting one up. That said - the roll-call for my upcoming cruise seems to be relatively 'active' compared to what the OP (who seems to need a quoting lesson, it's difficult to understand what they wrote and what someone else wrote) has seen.
  9. Officially - Name changes and departure date changes are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees. From here - https://www.ncl.com/about/cancellation-fee-schedule Doesn't mean you can't call and ask. Check-in starts 21 days before departure, if you check in as soon as it's available and check in your husband I have a feeling it would be more difficult to make the change.
  10. For such a vague request - just browse threads here on the forum, you'll get LOTS of insight...
  11. @laudergayle was just on the Bliss, I wonder if they grabbed this info?
  12. I've seen 'kids' in the lounge once or twice, they seemed to have been there with someone that was visiting with a Studio 'resident' and so were let in by them.
  13. It doesn't. I'm not Platinum (yet) and I got the coupon.
  14. I've sailed on the Bliss, Joy and Escape - never an issue with the cabin tap water...
  15. Good guess, the name of the coupon actually says 'Latitudes Cruise" right in it (screenshot in post 1)
  16. I was referencing your comment about not being aware of any "solo dinners". There very much IS, and it starts with the solo meet in the lounge (or wherever on the ship it's being held), then the group goes to dinner. and currently, on the ships with a Studio Lounge, the lounge IS available to solos in all categories if the nightly meet is held there (which, in my experience, has been every night on two trips on the Bliss and one on the Escape), but ONLY during the time of the nightly meet. The door closest to the lounge is propped open so those non-Studio solos can enter to mingle. At all other times, yes, the lounge is only for those who have key-card access.
  17. Nothing has changed. Solos staying in any cabin category wishing to be part of the evening meet can go to the Studio Lounge or wherever the meeting is held and join the group for dinner.
  18. Check other ships. For example - the Bliss has Solo Balcony cabins on decks 11 and 12. Getaway had them on 1,10 and 12. I wouldn't call all of those necessarily "low level".
  19. I love that ship also, and will be on her for 15 days in Jan/Feb...
  20. And this is actually covered in the T&C's for CruiseNext - https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions#cruisenext Only refundable Onboard Credits and the Non-Refundable Onboard Credit given for purchasing CruieNext deposits may be used towards your CruiseNext purchase.
  21. There's an "everything" thread covering the build of the ship. It looks to be similar, but bigger than the first two so the staterooms may be different. Until the ship is built nobody can know for sure, but you can always go Google the cabin numbers for the disability cabins from Prima and Viva to see tours of them to get a baseline.
  22. That was my feeling about it. But, when you consider the grat. on the package is less than $10 per meal ($17.80 for my upcoming 15 night cruise where I get 2 meals) and some bills can easily run up over $100, the less than $20 total per meal seems a bit light. I might bump to $15, not sure, it's personal preference...
  23. These are the 20% 'gratuities' on those packages based on retail cost if you were to buy the package yourself. That's the Discretionary Service Charge, covers all staff including the back-of-house staff (dishwashers, cooks, etc). https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/what-is-onboard-service-charge NCL doesn't do the envelopes. I usually bring cash to leave for my cabin steward and leave it on the table in the cabin on disembarkation day. Because of the Freestyle Cruising concept you end up not having the same server more than once. For specialty meals I usually charge an additional $10 (I'm a solo) to my cabin as a tip for the server. I realize it's not THAT much, but it's something extra.
