It was a very lovely brunch in January on the Miracle. I think it must depend on the ship and number of Diamond guests.

When we're not cruising, we generally rent a beach house for a week with our extended family. Prices for them literally doubled from last year to this year (Outer Banks, NC). Vacationing is not cheap, but I still find cruises to be the best bang for your buck! Most Carnival ships are sailing at capacity, which is great for shareholders trying to hang on for dear life!! 😁

32 Carnival cruises and I've never witnessed a fight and have only very recently smelled pot. (I think because so many states have made it legal, people don't want to follow federal laws and Carnival's rules).

We love the Sunshine AND cruising from Charleston. We've done the 5 day from there 3 times, and it's been great!

On our last 2 cruises, even the Heineken 0.0 was unavailable, due to supply chain issues.😟

I do my research, figure out exactly what cruise, category, room, etc. and THEN call my PVP. I like using one, because it's so easy to call them if a problem comes up. It was particularly helpful when Covid cancelled our 12 day Med cruise. I was able to get everything handled with a phone call. Later, when wishing to use credits to rebook cruises, she was willing and able to handle that for me, as well.

Yes! I also do not miss the endless ads for spa, jewelry, shore excursions, etc. They killed a lot of trees back in the day!

You'll have a printout of sail and sign charges, which will include all drinks (even if you have Cheers, zero cost will be listed). They either slip these under the door or put them in the mailbox next to your room.

Thanks for such a concise review! I agree with you about 3 day cruises. We used to do a few when we were still working (teachers) and needed a couple of mental health breaks. 😁 They were NEVER long enough, but were all that we could manage while teaching. Now that we're retired, we're gravitating towards 7+ days. Our last one was a 14 day, and we've got another 14, as well as an 8, booked within the next year! Again...thanks! I enjoyed your review.

Thanks for a lovely (non-complaining) summary of Princess and Carnival. We are Diamond with Carnival, but would love to sail Princess in the future, for comparison. I love your statement, "I find the sea is equally beautiful no matter what ship I'm on". Isn't it the truth! 😊
