Do I have any say in this - help please!
Abercrombie2019 replied to masonchar's topic in Princess Cruises
If it is a 4 person obstructed ocean view cabin, where are the two upper berths? Are they projecting from the walls beside the queen bed, or do they come down from the ceiling? If the two upper berths are on the side walls they could be hazards (if the bed is set up as a queen bed). -
This put a smile on my face this morning.

I just wanted an excuse to look back at the photos (instead of working like I should be). -

We were given the Princess bags on Enchanted Princess in February. Two beach towels and two small bottles of water and the handle ripped off the bag. I can't imagine using the current bags for groceries.

Door Decoration banned on Regal Princess
Abercrombie2019 replied to Btimmer's topic in Princess Cruises
Also on the Regal last July, and I didn't notice any door decorations. We were recently on the Enchanted (Feb. in Caribbean) and noticed lots of door decorations. -

I'm getting the same problem.

We wanted to reserve an excursion that showed sold out, but the wait list was open. We were able to select both passengers and were added to the waitlist (a couple of months before our cruise). Our list of excursions showed "confirmed" for all of the purchased ones, and "waitlist" for the waitlisted one - in our travel summary. We never heard if we got the excursion until we were in our cabin on the ship. The excursion ticket for the "waitlisted" excursion was in our stateroom. Just wanted to add, that we did have a few problems trying to get on the waitlist. The first few times that we noticed that the waitlist was open, we could only add one passenger. We did not want to chance only one of us getting the excursion. We just kept checking until one day we were able to select both passengers.

I think that these are all good suggestions, and I would agree that it would be safe to follow this advice - but the best room that I have ever stayed in was on Emerald Deck (Regal Princess), and it was directly above Crooners. We never noticed any noise from Crooners, but that might have been because we were siting at the bar a lot of the time. 🍸😉

This problem was reported in another thread awhile ago. It looks like the correct amounts for Specialty Dining in Australian dollars. People have speculated that the ships that are currently sailing from Australia are still showing the Australian pricing for Specialty Dining for future cruises that don't originate in Australia. (Check which ship you are trying to book for and see if that ship is currently sailing from Australia.)

3rd and 4th person sailing free promotion (Jan 2024)
Abercrombie2019 replied to Itchy&Scratchy's topic in Princess Cruises
I did a test booking for Discovery Princess, April 12, 2025, 4 passengers. The fare summary shows that passenger 3 & 4 are $0.00. Only taxes and port fees are shown for them. This was the first cruise that I tried to do a test booking - so there are definitely cruises available. On Princess.com I selected “view cruises” for the 40% off, 3rd & 4th passenger free promo. It showed 729 results. I then went into “date & length” and only selected April, June and November of 2025. There were 162 results. -
I have reserved specialty dining a few times in the past couple of years. I’ve always been aware that the credit card would be billed when I confirmed the reservation. Years ago, I remember that we could reserve a shore excursion before a cruise and we didn’t have to pay for it until after the excursion was complete (2010 I think). It hasn’t been like that for many years now. (I wish it still was.)

A good place to start will be your Roll Call. There may be people with private excursions booked that are looking for others to join them.

Princess Airport Transfer day of cruise...
Abercrombie2019 replied to CHK's topic in Princess Cruises
Our first cruise ever was a Panama Canal cruise out of Fort Lauderdale on October 5, 2005. We flew into Miami the day of the cruise and had a transfer from the airport to the ship. We made it without incident, but we didn't know how lucky we actually were. We didn't know anything about cruising, or hurricane season. 2005 was devastating. We try not to fly in same day anymore - and we always buy insurance (there are too many things that are beyond our control). -
Have you checked to see if your fare has gone down (if you aren’t past final payment)?

Princess EZ Air Itinerary Change Questions
Abercrombie2019 replied to BlueCO102's topic in Princess Cruises
I have had no trouble changing my flights after final payment (90 days), but before the 45 day cut-off for "Flexible" air fare. Make sure you are booking the "Flexible" fare and not "Restricted". The price difference was refunded to my credit card within a few days. -
Not sure why you would check Atlantis Events, unless you wanted an all gay cruise. You won’t “accidentally” book a vacation and find out it is an Atlantis gay cruise. Atlantis charters the entire ship.

The limit of 15 drinks is only for drink packages that include alcohol. There is no limit to the number of nonalcoholic drinks.

If you do a google search of L107 Discovery Princess, you should see photos and videos of the M6 stateroom. The photo on the website is not accurate for that category of room.
