All cruise lines that build new ships (and even some that cannot) look for edges to entice cruisers to come to them. Whether it is a rock wall, a roller coaster, go cart track, or separate private rooms and dining, it is all for the same reason. What attracts you, might not attract me. It certainly is not shaming (in my view) that a line chooses during a comeback from the worst time in the history of the industry and not be bleeding edge. What you find lacking, I applaud them for, but that is just me. What we agree on, is sitting and watching the chop churn with drink in hand.

Been there three times on three cruises. Better than the steakhouse and close if not the best meal we have had at sea

Or another way to look at it is they reviewed all variables on their own timetable and came out with their own plan. There is no prize for being first, sometimes their are pain when being beleeding edge. The point is it makes zero difference.

I have done all those. I also remember. royal champions. I have been on Oasis and heard the comedian jokes. It is all white noise. Don’t care about any of it. Sailed multiple lines and prefer Carnival. That is just me. Yomd

Nice post, we cannot wait to get on her on October for a Greek Isles cruise (think it will be the 8th time on her).

I resemble that.

Done 46+ CCL cruises and with slight variations food quality, prep and taste have never varied. I understand the op’s disappointment, that said when every single thing is terrible, it relates to the value of my take on the cruise.

The Pride was supposed to go into dry dock that was postponed when cruisng resumed. Not sure of the dates.
