  1. You don't have to pay to access the app but you do have to register, doubtful you can access from the terminal. Also free to use CC and NCL web site.
  2. Price for hot breakfast is now lower.... Not a coffee drinker and I like my eggs for breakfast so never took advantage of the free continental breakfast. But I just might go for having a hot breakfast delivered for $5. Win some, lose some.
  3. From the pics the $4.95 also includes the hot breakfast items that used to be 9.95.
  4. I highly doubt the person posting pics of the pages took the time to Photoshop something just because they wanted to start a rumor.
  5. Posted on another site by someone on the Escape, with pics of the new pages going into the room service binder. So looks to be a legit change.
  6. Only way to use credit card points for excursions would be to get obc - and that can only be used onboard. But you can convert your points to a statement credit which accomplishes the same thing.
  7. Shuttles do sell out, best to book ahead if you know that's what you want. You can call NCL or your pcc - there used to be a cutoff time but I'm not finding it, seems like it was 2 weeks.
  8. If you have the bogo promotion you don't schedule your flights. You tell them where you want to fly from and they will book flights for you, their choice. You can choose to arrive up to 2 days early and/or stay later. You must request a deviation at least 75 days ahead. Or you can use their premium air service but pay regular prices.
  9. Ummm, they do, all you have to do is ask at least 75 days ahead. They even pay you $25 to do so.
  10. I suggest you read the many posts on this forum regarding NCL flights, good and bad. You aren't even to final payment yet so no flights are booked. You can request a deviation at 75 days, so again, NCL has no idea how many seats to book on what day. Flights are usually booked sometime after the 75-day mark, up to a few weeks prior to your cruise. 60 days is what they aim for but with all the difficulties with airlines, it's been more like 25-45 days recently. No way can you assume any specific flight. For domestic flights, 1 layover is common. No guarantee you will even fly to MIA - per the terms, they can also fly you to FLL.
  11. The first leg of my NCL-booked flight home from Copenhagen was delayed so would also miss connecting flights and next flight wasn't until the next day. Airline (Iceland air in this case) took care of hotel, transportation and rebooking both legs, even though the final leg was a different airline and PNR. I called NCL at the time and they offered to rebook me for the next day, don't know if they would have automatically taken care of both remaining flights - but doubtful they would have taken care of the hotel/transportation. Under the circumstances I chose to let the airline take responsibility.
  12. Consensus - doubtful. Human nature is to complain when things go wrong, remain silent when all is well. I've done quite well so far, using NCL flights. No worries about refunds when covid cancelled my cruises. NCL rebooked my flights to Stockholm when SAS went on strike last summer. Cost savings for international flights has been tremendous, maybe not so much with domestic flights. Will NCL wait or get you to the next port - that depends on the situation. But if you booked yourself you know they aren't gonna wait or help get you to the ship.
  13. They don't send usually send out invitations to bid until after final payment so I assumed you were past final payment.
  14. Nobody knows the answer but downgrading would incur a penalty, have you factored that into your savings calculations?
  15. Reasons for the upgrade of 2 vs 3 could be many things, nobody knows the full story. Areas of the ship are capacity controlled, so moving 2 people can be easier than 3. The other upgrade might be coming. The vacated cabin might be in a better location. They might choose by lottery. Access to edocs should be within 24 hours. I just checked in for my cruise at about midnight EST and edocs were available in the afternoon that same day
  16. If you get off the ship on day 15 it would be listed as a 14 day cruise. Not quite 24 hrs because you board late in the day, disembark early. Its based on the number on nights you are on the ship, not calendar days.
  17. I have a similar question, wanting to bring a small mini crock pot for my hotel stay prior to my cruise. I have food sensitivities so eating out isn't always simple. Over time I've picked up several of these at thrift stores for less than $5 so if they confiscate it, no big loss. So my options are in my carryon so they might confiscate before I get on the ship (and discard???). Or in my checked luggage so I have to go to the naughty room to get my luggage but I retrieve after the cruise. Or I gift it to the hotel maid, which I've done before - but this time in a foreign country so a US plug. So interested in others experience with forbidden items. Note, I have no intention of using it onboard, just weighing my options. To the OP: you can always put it in your checked luggage but might have to retrieve your luggage from guest services, then pick it up the last night.
  18. Yes they have a couple single kayaks but would prefer if you doubled up. I was traveling solo, paired with another solo no problem. I think he did 90% of the work!
  19. From what I can glean based on my experience, the onboard accounting system is not tied in any way to the land-based system. So refunds before a cruise are handled through Miami but once onboard, everything goes to your onboard account and for whatever reason they won't put a refund on your credit card.
  20. From my experience, they only give you cash.
  21. So I looked it up on the US site and sailaway (no free at sea perks) isn't available so I'm assuming that what your TA is considering "no perks" is the removal of the optional free at sea drink and dining plans. Which is why the numbers are the same - room is the same, you either get the drink and/or meal package or you don't. You pay 20% gratuity if you choose to take the packages.
  22. Your minutes aren't lost but after midnight you have to reenter your info, the same as you do on day 1. IT person told me that when I complained about not being able to access my invoice prior to debarkation. And it does work, I've done it to check on my flights.
  23. Because the system checks the validity of payments after you enter the information. It's set up to allow two, assuming you can use two. Otherwise you'd have to make two separate payments, which is how it used to be.
  24. When is the cruise? It has to be at least 6 months from now.
