  1. That might be what caused the problem in the first place😉 Avril
  2. I haven't had an hip op, but my sister has had both knees done with an injection and said it was much better, and she thought safer at her age of 79, than a general anaesthetic. They allowed her to bring some music to listen to using headphones too. Your hospital might do the same. Avril
  3. No, we've all been perfectly well behaved as usual😇😉 I hope you had a lovely cruise. Avril
  4. I'm pleased you're feeling a little better today Eglesbrech and that your OH will be much improved tomorrow. Frank has been getting about a little easier since yesterday afternoon, and as a result I have been less stressed and had a better nights sleep. Frank's still asleep and resting better, so that's a good sign🤞 Avril
  5. Strange how your dog and myself have had the same summer😎 Avril
  6. We're both fine(ish) Gill, thank you. Frank is having some mobility issues at the moment and I'm having to help him more than normal. The heat has been affecting me and as a result I'm not sleeping much, about three or four hours a night so I'm a little down at the moment and don't feel like posting much. I've been reading all the posts and reacting, it helps me through the day. I'll bounce back, I always do.🙂 A bit of an odd day of mixed emotions for us today. Frank's 78th birthday and the anniversary of his Mum's death. Have a good day all whether on land or sea. Avril
  7. Will you be doing a live blog on the Princess forum? We can follow you on there if so. Have a lovely relaxing cruise. Avril
  8. Harry was still posting a couple of weeks ago, so he may be on holiday now.🤞 Still no sign of @wowzz though, not since May. 😟 Avril
  9. I would like make the comment, unbelievable, but it isn't😏 Avril
  10. Adonia got caught in a sudden cyclone while on our way to Italy in 2015 which damaged the stabilisers. We were mid cruise but completed the itinerary, albeit with much rolling, and only one missed port. A very interesting cruise indeed, but enjoyable just the same. Avril
  11. She's definitely not a seasoned cruiser that's for sure. Avril
  12. I hope that's all it is, and that his family are all well. Strange how you can feel close to people you've never met. Avril
  13. The last time he posted was about May I think, at least on CC. It's very worrying. Avril
  14. Keep your chin up Sue. It comes as a shock to us as our parents age because we're used to them being strong and in charge of things. I learned with both my parents that even as the body gets frail their inner strenght and determination is still there. I hope your Mum and Dad are both alright and look after yourself too. Take care.x Avril
  15. When on Adonia I asked the same question. We met the maitre d' again who had been on Arcadia, Elvis, a really lovely man. He said the same same thing, and also that the distance from the galley to dining room was a big factor in the efficiency and cheerfulness of the waiters. Avril
  16. So sorry to hear of your loss Eglesbrech. We reach a stage in life when we seem to attend more funerals than weddings. Live each day as it comes and always try to find something special about each one. Avril
  17. My daughter is the same. She won't touch custard, mashed potatoes or milk puddings either. Avril
  18. Ah yes, I remember it well😋 With Blackforest Gateau to follow😉 Avril
  19. Fish is usually served with a wedge of lemon. Lemon curd is made with lemons so..................😁 Avril
  20. Congratulations Graham and Pauline. Happy anniversary💐🥂 Avril
  21. That's a shame bro. It would be the perfect finish to a perfect meal.😁 Not🤢 Sis
  22. I agree Presto. Our first cruise on her was a 24 night around the Eastern Med and we loved her. We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary aboard her too. Nice memories. Avril
