  1. All the tours that are available will be now showing in your My Cunard.
  2. No I haven’t but if it’s any use and it’s what you need to know there is a fast charger at Lidl not far away. My SIL always uses it post cruise. He doesn’t have a Tesla but another make. He doesn’t park with CPS now as he has access to free parking elsewhere. He self disembarks early gets the car, goes to charge it and then comes back for us and the luggage later.
  3. March was never a thing it was moved from January to May
  4. I would rather have the extra OBC. Only ever go to use it.
  5. My daughters always take their Dyson’s but not sure if they are called Airwraps just know they are Dysons and ridiculously priced !! I could have had a short cruise nearly for the cost 😂😂🚢
  6. As I live very close to Southampton I love to fit in several a year . Never seen any problems just lots of people enjoying themselves. There is a higher proportion of first timers than usual but that is too be expected. We were all first timers once. I have never found any difference in service or offerings to usual 7 or 14 night trips. I think you will enjoy it.
  7. Was it a 3/4 berth cabin perhaps that they only want booked out to a 3/4 person booking ?
  8. No Q A was Med in July in Standard Balcony and Q A December 2026 to 7 nights Hamburg in obscured balcony
  9. I booked one today for 2026 and it was fine and have a booking for this July as a solo in a balcony
  10. I got through straight away at 1 . Booked 2 for QM managed to get single cabins on Deck 3 so pleased with that I will have had 3 birthdays by the December one so scary to see the age it has me down for.
  11. I don’t think Chris Lee is the CEO but at least you have a resolution.
  12. The Maritime law will be correct and no amount of discussion will allow that to be over ridden. For safety reason all persons regardless of age have to be allocated to a suitable cabin designated for that number of people. This is to do with life boat space allocation for one. As others have said the problem with Saver fares you don’t get to choose your exact requirements. You have to have what’s offered hence why people pay considerably more for the select option.
  13. But they are gradually paying it down. I have also read that Carnival have just ordered another Excel Class ship to join the other 3 they already have. They must feel some confidence in their future.
  14. I always sail solo except once a year when I cruise with either one or both daughters and sometimes their partners. I have never been to an solo event or shared a table it’s just not my thing. The once a year I sail with my family we more or less do everything together or in combinations of the group. The rest of time I am on my own. I think it might be off putting if there were lots people there who were not really travelling on their own. I think it’s a good idea for people who do want to make new friends and have someone to perhaps spend time with. Me I am too stuck in my ways and enjoy my own company even at meal times. If you are on your own in a cabin and not on a linked booking it would be very easy for P & O to offer personal invites.
  15. Yes as a solo myself I was some what disappointed given unless you book the solo cabins on release for popular sailings they sell out very quickly. If it’s a cruise where I don’t really need a balcony I always go for one if still available. However not overly surprised because Carnival did the same with Iona and Arvia. Iona even has single balcony cabins but Arvia which is supposed to be the same has none. Given the solo cabins on Iona are equally hard to book it is annoying.
  16. You best bet is to see what the Executive office come up with or take the hit with your deposit and rebook on a select fare choosing your own cabin irrespective if you don’t care where you are etc.. select fares ensure you get the cabin of your choice. Saver fares will always be allocated by what P &O want you to have regardless of whether it suits you or not personally.
  17. Holiday Inn Southampton is a popular choice. I know friends who use it all the time. There is a thread over on P &O boards with lots of other suggestions. I only live 40 mins away so never have had to do this.
  18. The pricing of an upgrade is standard practice if you wish to amend your booking you always have to accept the rate that would have been applicable at the time of the original booking and it can work both ways you could end up paying less than the current price for a better cabin. Will they let you pay to upgrade to a select fare booking of the same grade and then you could choose your cabin and pick one say a 3 berth. That is a draw back with saver fares that you have no control over the cabin allocation. I am not sure if the bed configuration is just a preference and not an absolute guarantee. Other folk on here may know better.
  19. Did you book select or saver fare ? What was your original cabin number ?
  20. Have you checked the cabin number ? If the Pullman beds are not being used they don’t encroach on the cabin and headroom and you can have a queen bed. It’s only if they are being used you have to have twins. You would need a 3/4 berth cabin because you are 3 people albeit one of them is a baby. I suggest you check the cabin number against the deck plan and you might find it will be O K
  21. Annoying that Iona is in Ocean Terminal that day. But will be grand on 28th to see her with QM2 and QV
  22. Not sure about non U K based banking practices but overwhelming advice for U K bank users is do not register a debit card but use a credit card. Apparently the daily holds plus then the full balance taken at the end can cause some folk problems until the daily holds are removed which are according to your bank’s timetable and out of Cunard’s hands. I have never had a problem with a credit card and the holds are removed quickly. The $1 registration charges sometimes sits there for a while.
  23. There were no changes to the electrical sockets during the recent spell in dry dock.
  24. You need paper copies as they are stamped O K to Board at check in.
