  1. Flying all the way to San Juan arriving the evening before your cruise departs is risky. Too many things can go wrong. Fly out tomorrow is my advice. 50mph winds just started with snow down to 2500'. Worse tomorrow am. Flights will be chaos in Texas tomorrow and further East on Friday.
  2. This summer there was "draft" out of the 5L in the Retreat. Saw no Heineken real draft anywhere.
  3. Looks like a MoveUp bid. Offers to bid are normal. Seems whatever number they had before is being reduced. Maybe because of no takers. Bid wisely or pass. Benefits of a concierge cabin on MoveUp are very limited. No extra CC points
  4. Similar offers from my TA with AI on verandas at the same price. Do your homework before booking. Lots of smaller TAs out there that will compete for your business. Do a Google search.
  5. FBC is a consolidator. As said unless there is a substantial savings book direct.
  6. Prices have changed. You will find lots of answers in the Ports Forum and your Roll Call.
  7. Agree with whale watching if they are around. You need to pre-book. Again what do you enjoy and when is your cruise. By April getting warm to hot. Being a tender port you need to plan accordingly.
  8. There are several places in Mexico and Central America with increasing security issues. Gangs and drugs mostly with the follow on crimes involving pickpockets and grabbing purses, necklaces etc.
  9. Send them an email. Also check your profile. You need to be signed up to receive emails. Opting out stopped all of them for us.
  10. Have usually found liquid soap in cabins. We also dislike it so bring a bar of our regular soap for the shower and ask for a bar by the sink if not there.
  11. I would as said contact special needs as your requirements are very different from a protein shake like I make at home. The sugar in mine are above your 5g limit. Two realistic options - bring your drinks on board or organize through special needs to use protein powder that you could bring on board and they MIGHT be able to blend into a shake. If that can reach your carb/sugar level.
  12. There are several apps that will show cabins that are available for booking. They will not show cabins reserved by the cruiseline or cabins in a TA group block. Do a Google search and a couple of them will be in the results.
  13. Did the canal in the new locks. Was disappointed. For the best do a river cruise. Mississippi or Columbia. Panama Canal since widened felt like a giant lake.
  14. The policy is a maximum of 12 cans per person on embarkation or a port stop.
  15. Just do not check it at the curb. Carry it with you and put it in your cabin. That can avoid a possible trip to the naughty room to recover your carry on that evening .
  16. The Captain decides. Ship time will be the same as local time in St Maarten.
  17. They already went up. Putting Wi-Fi, drinks and gratuities together is a better deal. When we book into a group block with our TA - Not a big TA company - they are included.
  18. There are 3 outlets on the desk. 1EU and 2US. None by the beds. This is covered in an August 22 thread. Special needs will provide a cord on request. Give them a couple weeks before your sailing.
  19. You can book the tour through the Celebrity app. Have not seen a seminar on navigation since the 1960s when I got a USCG license for a commercial fishing boat.
  20. Just be sure to check out travel requirements for Caribbean/South and Central American countries. Some require a permit, some proof of fully vaccinated- agree usually not checked. The rules change often.
  21. What were you worried about pre cruise? Flights? Transfers? Checkin? Onboard experience? Service?
  22. If I had over 15 drinks the time would not matter. I would be asleep in my cabin.
  23. Verifly is useful is a country requires Covid vaccination proof. In Canada there is no benefit. None as there are no Covid requirements
  24. Really simple. The European itineraries on all the cruislines are not party central like the short Mexican Riviera 4 day booze cruises. Enjoy the itinerary
  25. There are lots of photos of Aqua cabins. The pictures are worth a thousand words.
