  1. Thank you for your opinion. Unfortunately countries such as Canada require testing preloading. The consequence of noncompliance is either the passenger cannot board or the ship cannot call on a port in that country.
  2. I think you mean you spoke to a Celebrity vacation planner and not a travel agent. If you booked directly with Celebrity then simply write a short concise email or letter and send it to the resolutions department or to the office of the president of Celebrity. Just the facts step by step. I used jennifermorales@celebrity.com She is the director or the resolutions department
  3. Should not be a problem for him with shorts. Simply use a lightweight throw to cover his legs. Remove as desired in the MDR. Same if one has a foot in a cast. Definately pants challenged. No problem
  4. You did not understand. Zenith or Elite perks are pretty useless today with AI as the only real perk for Elite is a bag of laundry if in Aqua. In a suite Zenith gets zip meaningful except a different seapass. Zenith only gets a free cruise every 3000 points.
  5. The tour operators are often the same except booking outside Celebrity will usually create a pickup and dropoff point outside the port area. Have almost always found that people cancel both pre and during a cruise. Get on the wait list is the best answer except for possibly a private excursion organized on Cruise Critic .
  6. Bo. I looked for the same. The CDC list is excellent as are a couple others but they all are both a bit out of date and require clicking on each country to get an answer. Neighbor who is the house doctor for Raytheon uses the CDC site to try to track rules for employee travel. It updates a couple times a week. Hope that that helps.
  7. You are not likely to get much clarity. Celebrity does not operate shore excursions and many operators are new to Celebrity. Thus you email Celebrity, they email the operator of the tour, the operator may or may not understand the question and may or may not reply. That continues. I might call or book knowing I can cancel up to 48 hours before I cruise.
  8. FBC is a consolidator. They put people into groups- thus the lower fares that are often available. There is a tradeoff for those fares in that you often cannot easily change them and they are not ticketed sometimes until final payment. With all the flight issues and multiple people having issues I wonder why people continue to fly this way. Airlines are in chaos today. The changes are not the fault of FBC. Just be sure you understand the terms 100% before you book. Good luck to the OP.
  9. Was different in March as ships were about 1/2 full. Every cruise is different and with the price match policy gone for cruises booked lately few cabins for MoveUp seem likely. But you never know. The upgrade faity used to visit every few cruises.
  10. Depending on the ship exactly the same or very similar physical cabin. You get extra afternoon canapés that we personally asked not to be delivered. The biggie is extra Captain's Club points if near the next tier. Best to go to the Celebrity website and exactly what is offered is listed there.
  11. Celebrity encourages refilling water bottles. Are you telling me I cannot bring a plastic bottle on board and refill it at one of the refilling stations?
  12. And the cruises don't go to any of the 50 something countries including Canada that currently require testing.
  13. Celebrity Air is a consolidator. There are dozens of threads about this. One of the reasons they can offer cheaper fares is they block out groups of seats. Sometimes you are not ticketed until after final payment. Some airlines allow you to select your seat immediately others including Air Canada not until final payment. If you are picky about your seat ABCelebrity might not work well for you.
  14. I would suggest you check the ports Forum for the ports where you are looking for excursions. Tours by Locals almost always requires you to exit the secure port area. This distance varies with shuttles often provided to either town or to the port entrance. Shore excursions are in a constant state of change today with additions and deletions. There are always cancellations on shore excursions. Get on a waiting list.
  15. Again await the rest of the details. AON is able to sell without restrictions in some 12 states. 37 more have various regulations imposed by the states. Residents of other countries have again very different rules. It is very complicated and would require a licensed insurance agent to determine eligibility (almost all are eligible). What likely happened is AON got the details and rejected same. Seems Celebrity should through their resolutions department provide an explanation and the opportunity to cancel at not cost. To the OP - Welcome to CC as a new poster. Let us know what happens.
  16. A couple thoughts. We have always had laundry that was picked up before 9am returned the following day. Sometimes the same day. Last my DW thinks she does have laundry service - ME. Only takes a few minutes to wash in the sink (jeans in shower), wring out by hand then roll up in a towel to get most water out and then hang in shower or closet. Jeans take 36 hours. The rest next day. Her service then includes folding and putting away hangers.
  17. Correct - no Global Entry. We arrived on a TA twice. Walked off both times when allowed just before 7:45 to 8am. First time cleared customs at 8:30. The 2nd time was a Sunday and they were short staffed. Barely made a 1pm flight. Your choice. The question is what happens if you miss your flight? That only you can answer.
  18. Or check a similar cruise now. Same itinerary will most likely have same Chic night adjusted only for sea says.
  19. Assuming your question is real. Any Walgreens or CVS along with about 50 proctoring services, any urgent or emergency room if you tell them you have symptoms.
  20. Pretty much laundries are being phased out. HAL used to have them on all ships. No new laundries. Having 2 more cabins makes more revenue. Bring your own clothesline or pay Celebrity
  21. There are a total of 4 docking spaces. One has always been used for freight and a second ferries. The "harbor" within a mile is massive but then you lose one of the docking slots unless they can sort it with Alaska Ferries.
  22. Last time Europe sold mouthwash, shampoo, sunblock etc or you both get a 1qt baggies with 3.4oz bottles (100ml). We wear our walking shoes and bring a pair of dressy sandals. Haven't worn dress shoes in years.
  23. On the Celebrity website. Under alcohol policy.
