What is so complicated? You need to complete ArriveCAN to enter Canada. Doesn't matter how. .car, walking, airplane. You then need to enter your details again for your cruise. Oy takes a minute the second time as your basic data is saved. When we spent time in Point Roberts WA and went to a store we crossed into Canada each time. EVERY trip we simply updated the app. You do not usually need to show the app because the ArriveCAN info is tied to your passport and Canada matches that with the Ship's Manifest.

ArriveCAN Nightmare & Random Testing
Arizona Wildcat replied to realnice46's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You certainly had problems with your WiFi connection. Understandable. You were upset and entered some possibly incorrect data into ArriveCAN. All you needed or still need to do is login to the ArriveCAN app and enter the data again. All your personal data such as vaccination and passport will be there. Takes a couple minutes. Have not heard any issue with ArriveCAN yet. As for Canada selecting you for a covid test, that policy has been in place for some months. You simply needed to provide them a copy of the same negative test you showed the cruiseline. For others with WiFi issues would it be less stressful to simply pay for a bit of data when overseas? We paid $4.75. for 19 minutes of time to guarantee we could complete our proctored covid test and get the results. -
If it is offered there were two restrictions in the past - Flight from FLL departure after 11:30am and no all airlines participated. You likely will not know until on board if it is offered.

How often do you send out your laundry to be cleaned?
Arizona Wildcat replied to luv2ndhalf's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We got 2 pairs of jeans, 5 t-shirts, socks and 12 pcs of underwear in a bag. The bags are not the same on all ships. Transitioning to a uniform cloth bag. Also on a TA takes 2 days to get back and cannot send out last 3 days. -
As said who knows. Use a government free covidctest and test with Rapidtestandtrace.com or another proctored test. Impossible without knowing where you are staying. Bottom line is IF your flight is on time and IF your flight doesn't change and IF your luggage arrives and IF customs goes quickly maybe 2 hours. Again it could be the next day.

We have gotten the discount when we paid for guests.

Absolutely no need to print. ArriveCAN is matched to your passport. If flying or driving to Canada it works immigration to answer those questions thus faster at the border . On a ship they match the passport number from the Ship's Manifest to the app. No reason to print. To the OP - It does require a specific graphics program for printing. Lots easier to simply download if you want to guarantee you have a copy. In some 30 crossings since April have never been asked - had always updated ArriveCAN for every crossing.

Deserts on Summit was the only area NOT self serve. When there were lots of people we opted some served themselves deserts, but very orderly in all areas.

Reservation has drink package showing as cancelled???
Arizona Wildcat replied to wesport's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Often drink package doesn't show. However you are saying the reservation has message saying "cancelled". That is very different. Certainly need to contact X or your TA -
Wheelchair Assistance - Tipping Question.
Arizona Wildcat replied to Guindalf's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Through special needs at Celebrity at least 2 weeks before you cruise. They will take your Mum to her cabin and she can immediately pickup her rented wheelchair. She can access her cabin immediately. They probably can make it available quickly with a pile request on board. -
Have quarantining venues changed?
Arizona Wildcat replied to phoenix_dream's topic in Celebrity Cruises
OnSummit recently most were quarantined in their own cabin because simply put ship was full. Masks requested in theater and casino but not enforced. Lots of coughing and several dozens of passengers in quarantine. -
Time stamp for COVID test picture?
Arizona Wildcat replied to jaimeandandy's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Same garbage different day. A self test is simply that. Can you fake a date? Sure. Same as a proctored test can be faked. Just go through the motions and ignore the comments that offer up implied rules. -
Jameson inconsistency, is it premium or classic?
Arizona Wildcat replied to Chemgoddess1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Agree with Rich. While I have not seen Jameson on any "list" with Celebrity (it is with Royal); buying a drink that costs $11 with the Classic package MAYBE costs you $2.40! Much of the time the bartenders to don't bother with the tiny upcharge. On Summit recently we were NEVER charged the extra. Silly to even discuss over a dollar or two. If I drink 15 Jamesons a day I have a far worse problem than deciding which drink package! -
You never know. Was available recently on Summit for 2 days of a 12 day cruise then sold out. Have not usually found it on board in prior years.

Yes. Daily at 9am.

The longer the cruise the older those cruising such as TAs. Alaska and holiday cruises attract younger cruisers. Had a Thanksgiving cruise out of New Orleans with average age maybe 40 so assk if school in session. An October TA from Barcelona closer to 70.

So I’ve tested positive about a week out
Arizona Wildcat replied to gpnfish's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Actually when you book with FBC you gave a choice of refundable or not. Depending on where you are cruising, the$200charge is from the airline; not FBC and like not refundable. -
Easy as asking once on board. Just understand your choices might be a bit limited

Also hard to underdress. DW and I wear Birkenstocks (with matching socks), fancy top and black pants for DWand dress shirt with kakhis and sports coat for me. On a recent TA there was everything from Tshirts (that looked awfully tacky) to tuxedos. No longer matters but hopefully one can dress like going to a nice restaurant.

Time to move on. Any substance or derivative substance that is banned by Federal law is illegal on board cruise ships. Have seen passengers removed at the next port and left on the pier with their belongings. Definitely a choice for each person to make. And the passengers were then subject to the laws where they were put ashore.

Is the Celebrity App always this bad ?
Arizona Wildcat replied to lovescarborough's topic in Celebrity Cruises
As said before - the app won't usually work correctly or at all until you are on board. On Summit last month showed nothing until we boarded then pretty good. -
They put a luggage tag on you bags with the correct cabin number. Then you check in and they give you the correct seapass card to get in your cabin.
