  1. Please let us know what type of cabin you get assigned.
  2. Neither itinerary appeals to me, I'll just stay in the Caribbean in 2025
  3. It sounds like we are in the same situation, the Eurodam itineraries are far more interesting to us than the Rotterdam itineraries in February 2025. However the Rotterdam is a much better fit for us and we just want to escape the winters in the Midwest so it really doesn't matter where we go. So you'll find us on the Rotterdam in 2025.
  4. We'll miss your Live Reviews on the Celebrity Board, hopefully you'll continue to do your Live Reviews on the other cruise lines.
  5. I'm not passing judgment, but I think it would be good to know the OP's preferences to provide the best guidance.
  6. Do you cruise in suites? If you are a suite passenger, Celebrity would be a better choice.
  7. You can be unimpressed if you wish, but the CEO switch isn't scheduled to happen until May. I would give the new person at least a couple of weeks before you pass judgement.
  8. I suppose we can debate who is in charge of running the company, but I am more concerned about getting continued support for cruisers that have problems. I am far from being LLP's biggest fan but one thing that she has done is establish a fast response team of people that respond to people that email her. Almost always within a day sometimes within hours. This fast response team has helped me and numerous others on CC and I hope the new CEO continues to utilize this team. So yes, I would like to know if anyone has the email address for the new CEO.
  9. One last question for those experienced travelers. I'm not trying to start a debate and I would just like to know the local expectations. What is the expected gratuity to the driver for these trips?
  10. You've convinced me that the private car to and from the airport in Amsterdam is the best way for me to go. The train is probably the best way to go if you're young and travel light. However, as we get older it seems like we have more luggage and it's no longer easy to navigate the trains with a couple of suitcases. Sure I'm looking to save wherever I can, but this may not be the place. Given the cost of the cruise and the airline ticket to fly to Europe, a few extra dollars for the private car isn't significant in the total cost of the trip. It's also nice to exit baggage claim and see someone holding a sign that says "Pee".
  11. That's fine and I support your right to smoke in any of the approved areas, however perhaps that explains why you may not be as sensitive to secondhand smoke in surrounding areas. Enjoy your cruise
  12. I spent considerable time this past winter and secondhand smoke was noticeable most of the time. From my perspective, the Sea View pool area wasn't useable. I'm glad it worked for you as a non-smoker.
  13. Good Luck, moving the goal posts is a valid concern. Just so you know when it's coming, it will be call enhancements to the CC program.
  14. At least he/she can get the notification from this thread that each of us have received our point or points.
  15. Someday I need to sail with you so I can experience the breeze not blowing the smoke into the non-smoking area.😉
  16. Does the breeze blow the second-hand smoke over to the port side?
  17. I'm not sure about which ships you've experienced but we recently sailed on the Rotterdam after numerous cruises on the S-class ships and I largely agree with your observations. We found the MDR on the Rotterdam to be unbelievably noisy. I think this is due the relatively low metal ceiling in the MDR on the Rotterdam with very little sound adsorbing material to be seen. We normally have Select time dining on the S-class ships and that is on the second floor of the dining room with higher ceilings. We really like the most forward areas on the S-class ships, they are a little more separated from the MDR and tend to be quiet. In contrast, the first-floor dining areas on the S-class that are located under the second-floor dining areas, have relatively low ceilings and tend to be noisy, very similar to the Rotterdam.
  18. If you pay in full at the time of booking, does that eliminate the risk of currency fluctuations?
  19. No worries, a simple "Me Too" is all we need. 😀
  20. The cause of most aircraft crashes is pilot error. I'll take the best pilot. Thanks
  21. I don't think men or women care about overall percentages. Professional growth and advancement is an individual issue and if either men or women don't have an equal chance, then either will feel cheated.
