Happy Monday. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet reports. It is supposed to be stormy today. I will be celebrating friendship, both in persons and online. Fancy had her first bath yesterday. She was a very good dog and made the process very easy for us. Later she was naughty and got into the trash and stole the empty sausage wrapper. She loves running around outdoors. I have four classes of assignments today so I will work on that. I have my oral presentation scheduled for 8/21/2023 so that I will need to work on my PowerPoint slides for that. If all goes well, I should complete my doctorate by the end of this year with commencement scheduled for next year. It has been a long and hard journey working on my doctorate. Balancing work and classes as well as losing two family members made it a challenge. Finally, the end is in sight. I earned this. Fancy will get a bath this weekend. She is a little odiferous. I caught one of the cats playing with Fancy's favorite bone. Chase wants to be a dog. I must say, Fancy has livened up the place. I celebrate Chocolate Chip Cookie Day every time I get my hands on one. Congratulations on your retirement @Mr. Boston. Thinking of all on the care list today. Aperol Spritz being my favorite drink, I would try the drink of the day. It has been cool weather here with less humidity. Love this weather. Been very busy these last couple of days. Teaching and seeing clients. I am also getting ready for the oral defense of my dissertation proposal. The goal is to finish the program by the end of this year. I love cheesecake. Fancy had her visit with the vet yesterday. She is a very good dog who travels well in the car. She got a clean bill of health and some shots. She does have a luxating patella, much like me, which explains why she will occasionally run on three legs. Fancy has adapted well to our home. She is such a sweet dog who seems really happy. We did go for a walk after the vet appointment. She loves being outdoors. For me, I am getting more exercise which is helping my blood sugar go down. Thinking of everyone on the care list. I make a version with turkey sausage. I also have made baked spaghetti. Fancy continues to amaze me. She is so energetic. She loves being outdoors and is just so happy to run around as fast as she can. She continues to adjust quite well. She has her first vet appointment tomorrow. At one time she apparently was treated for Lyme disease. I suspect her joints still act up every once in a while. She certainly doesn't let the bother her. Thinking of everyone on the care list. Working from home today. Yesterday we had really bad thunderstorms. Flooding everywhere. I have to be mindful of Fancy outside and she gets the zoomies and loves to run. She is keeping me on my toes! Hello everyone. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet report. The meal of the day sounds delicious. I would like to try an Espresso Martini. Been busy today. heavy thunderstorms came through. I lost Internet right in the middle of a video I was making for one of my classes. Will have to begin a new tomorrow. Fancy is adapting very nicely. She has shown she can be mischievous when bored. She stole one of the cats' toys and tore it to shreds. She loves racing around the back yard. She is a wonderful dog. I may begin training her to be a therapy dog as she has a very nice disposition. The cats, especially my Chase who thinks he is a dog anyway, walk up to her and are okay with her. I think it has to do with her size. She is much smaller than my previous dog, Abby, and my cats, well let's just say they are a little larger than average.

I never tried before as I did not know what it was, so now that I know what it is I might just give it a try. Happy birthday to @summer slope! Fancy is settling in very nicely. She is living a calmer life now going from a foster home with 11 dogs to a home with 3 cats. She loves getting the attention from me and my sister. She is firmly declared that the sofa belongs to her and is making good use of it. Later we will go for a long walk. Thinking of all who are on the care list. Celebrating with all who are celebrating. Fancy is estimated to be 5 years old but may be a bit younger. She came into foster care after delivering 11 puppies. Two did not survive and she was nursing 9 puppies which took a lot out of her. She was emaciated. Her foster mom thinks she might be a little younger now that she is a healthy weight. We will be taking her to the vet who can give us a better idea.

My cruise is all set. My TA did a nice job with the booking. We will have Club Orange this time just to try it out. Good morning, everyone. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet reports. I love salmon as long as someone else cooks it. I absolutely adore cows. My sister used to work on a dairy farm. So, back from the doctor. We are changing up my meds a bit. I am off of the metformin. My Jardiance dose will be upped, and I will start on Rybelsus. We will see how that does.
