  1. Good morning, everyone! Thank you for the Daily and Fleet Report. Looks like it will be a cool and rainy day today. Working from home today after running around all day yesterday. A bottle of the wine of the day will be waiting for us in the cabin on embarkation day in May as we sail off to Alaska. I love prosecco! 32 days and counting. Planning on a final shopping trip this weekend as it will be a rainy one. Everyone, have a safe and healthy day!
  2. I will follow along. I am sailing on Nieuw Amsterdam to Alaska the end of May. Looking forward to your adventures.
  3. Good morning and thank you for the Daily and Fleet Report. Today is a very busy day with meetings and seeing clients today. Above all else, I will be celebrating World Penguin Day because who doesn't love a penguin! Everyone have a safe and healthy day.
  4. I am the opposite. I have an affinity for cooler weather places. The Norwegian Fjords is on my bucket list.
  5. Good morning and thank you for the Daily and Fleet report. Work from home day for me, mostly grading assignments. I like pigs in a blanket. Unless they are talking about actual pigs wrapped up in actual blankets. Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day matters to me. I am of Armenian descent. My grandparents from my father's side escaped to the United States during that time. It wasn't until 1991 that the United States acknowledged that a genocide had taken place. It was more important to protect the relationship with Turkey. Many attempts were made previously recognize that the genocide occurred, however, the Turkish government refused to support it and those who backed Turkey would not pass any bills to recognize the event as a genocide. The slaughter of the Armenian people began well before 1915. It began as early as 1894. This part of history is not often taught but should be remembered. Anyway, I think I might try the drink and perhaps the meal as they both seem rather tasty. Everyone, have a safe and healthy day!
  6. You better provide pictures too! I want to see what is coming up for me. You got the head start! 😊
  7. This has been confusing to me as well. I have a contact who lives in Anchorage and works in the travel industry and my TA is located on the West Coast and is a cruise specialist in the area. Both tell me that the cruise train transfer is not the same as the Alaskan Railroad time. I intend to find out more.
  8. I believe that this is the last ship coming in for Fleet Week. The Newport.
  9. My preliminary boarding pass states that it leaves Anchorage at 12:30 and arrives in Whittier at 3. Ship leaves at 8. I might have some time in the morning. Not sure.
  10. 35 days out! The excitement continues to build. All the needs doing now is the packing and I will doing that little by little. So far, the plan is as follows (keeping in mind the need for flexibility). May 26th: Cats go to boarding and we go to the hotel outside of the airport. May 27th: Travel Day! Leaving Pennsylvania at 6:30 am. Into Charlotte, then Dallas/Fort Worth where we meet up with my brother and sister-in-law, then to Anchorage at 8:35 pm. Overnight in Anchorage. May 28th: Cruise Day! Take cruise train to Whittier then sailing at 8:pm!
  11. Good morning, everyone! Thank you for the Daily and Fleet Report. Holding everyone on the care list in my thoughts today. Up early this Sunday for some yoga. Planning on working in the garden again today. Got one of the gardens beds cleaned out yesterday before the storms hit. Today will be in the upper 60's. 35 days until I sail. My first HAL cruise is almost here! I have a little shopping to do and then I am getting things organized for packing. Love the pictures. No English muffins in the house but I will have a picnic for lunch. Have a safe and healthy Sunday!
  12. Good morning, everyone. Thank you for the Fleet Report. In honor of Earth Day, I will be cleaning out garden beds. I happen to love Jellybeans. As a diabetic, they are not good for the diet. I do indulge though. The Jellybeans MUST be Brach's. I won't eat any others. My sister and I decided that we would cruise to Canada/New England again in 2025. Wishing all who are celebrating anything today a wonderful day. Keeping all who need prayers in my thoughts. Have a safe and healthy day.
