  1. If you book and pay through the app onboard it goes to loot. If you pay in the restaurant or bar it goes to bar tab. I imagine Richards Rooftop will be much more of a retreat now that the ships seem to be filling up a little more. I heard that you can also order snacks from Sun Club from the Rooftop which sounds very convenient, but we have not done the regular or mega rock star thing yet!
  2. Best bet for eggs and bacon is the Galley, Razzle Dazzle would be a close second and usually has walk up availability.
  3. Correct, arrived for our voyage to grab and go containers and various open and unopened beverages. The housekeeping supervisor was mortified. They will definitely clean your room in the afternoon, it's just that the standard of service is once per day unlike traditional cruise lines (although I've been reading about other lines going to once a day now as well).
  4. It's probably important to note that Virgin only does one full service of a cabin per day. There are several limited items you can request directly on the tablet in the room and on the app like water, ice, etc. You can also chat with Sailor Services in the app if you don't want to call and just tell them what you need and they'll dispatch housekeeping. I would most certainly put on your survey that you had to ask for even the regular cleaning service. We have personally always had solid housekeeping except for one sailing when there was left over food and drink in the fridge. Galley can be hit or miss, that's great if they've added flags like the Dock, that will probably be helpful. We're sailing again on Wednesday
  5. Can't speak for the Caribbean as we almost never get off the ship there anymore, but our excursions in Europe with Virgin were really great for the most part, many of them were less than 10 people. The beach we did in Spain was the worst with our 40 people on a larger bus and the beach was terrible (we're spoiled in Florida).
  6. On my last voyage the only thing I could see was a network cable going into the TV so I don't think they use any of the HDMI ports.
  7. Some of the venues actually have a bottle service menu and in our experience Sip would sell you anything they had by the bottle. They were actually prepared for it on the last night of the voyage because they said it was quite common for people to burn through their bar tab on the last night.
  8. We originally felt the Wake was the worst of the group but they seemed to have upped their game so to speak. I didn't think the Razzle Dazzle steak was good at all, much preferred Extra Virgin.
  9. If you think Virgin Voyages is nickel and dining you, clearly you haven't been on a Royal Caribbean ship, lol.
  10. In our experience, getting into garage G itself wasn't the hard part. It was having to get through all the terminals prior to V as it's the last one in a long line of terminals. If it's a particularly busy day at the overall port there's a lot of traffic and pedestrians to navigate.
  11. Generally breakfast and lunch reservations for the Wake and Razzle Dazzle are easy to come by as they can only be made on board. They will take walk-ins as well if available. I think some of the best food on the ship is at Sun Club and the Dock which do not take reservations.
  12. We were successful in calling VV after booking and getting the same cabin for both voyages. Only took a few minutes. I imagine you would need to be in the same category for both sailings.
  13. Pros and cons for sure, I like the more distinct restaurants with overall better quality for the stress of booking (thankfully my wife has mastered the art of pre-voyage reservations). I personally think Razzle Dazzle is underrated, the pork pasta is amazing as is the con salad.
  14. In Miami you board on deck 7, the first real passenger deck is 5.
  15. I know for sure I've ordered it at the Wake so presumably all of the table service restaurants have it.
  16. Entertainment can't be booked in advance yet so that's all onboard, but the shows and events always have a standby line where you can usually get in last minute.
  17. Don't forget the free premium WiFi if it's available on your sailing!
  18. The site saves your recent searches if you click the person icon top right but I don't think you can pick and choose more specifically.
  19. I think it's about 48 hours out based on messages here.
  20. One time at the pool the server brought my wife an entire pitcher of ice water! It's never a problem to get water or soda at any of the bars or restaurants, I just wish they had brewed iced tea in more places. The machines in The Galley are terrible.
  21. The beef sando available at Diner and Dash after 5 is one of my favorite dishes on the ship!
  22. Go to the Me tab at the bottom of the app, then touch the settings gear icon top right, scroll all the way to the bottom and there is a Switch Voyage button. Not sure if this is still the case, but when we did our back to back in September it was not possible to switch voyages once we were checked in on the first voyage so take notes if you want to know what dining, shore excursions, etc. you may have booked for the second voyage.
  23. I have a 4 outlet travel power strip I've taken on Disney, Royal, and Virgin without issue. I think the trick is it not having a surge protector for some reason.
  24. I've read on other threads here a while back that exceptions do happen if you need it (I suppose that would be dependent on your itinerary) so I would definitely call. I have a friend that did the online renewal and also expedited and still crickets so don't beat yourself up.
  25. The first person you talk to at the restaurant (at the top of the steps for the Wake, main entrance elsewhere) is the one assigning your table. They will tell the seater where to take you (via radio in the case of the Wake).
