  1. Oriana was the fastest, Aurora holds the record now.
  2. I have done 13 post covid. All P&O. All very enjoyable bar one (Iona). As a solo traveller (select balcony) I can't beat their price . Also prefer small, adults only, so they have ships that fit the bill.
  3. Well said! I also do not understand why some of the moaners on here stay with P&O!
  4. Wonder what Horizon Terminal is like?
  5. The cocktail party is for all upper tiers. However on Arcadia they had to have two as so many club members on board (as usual!).
  6. At least the cocktail parties are back now (except when Noro on board like last month!)
  7. No hosts at lunches post covid but the wine has been very generous!
  8. Yes, my Baltic cruise last July was in the high 20s most days, lovely.
  9. Glad my next cruise is to the Baltic and not the Med! Have been on one to Greece where temperatures were in the 40s and it was unbearable.
  10. Our postman wears shorts whatever the weather!
  11. I do most of my cruises on Arcadia and Aurora and find my balcony cabins on them more spacious (and with much more storage, including drawers!) than on Iona (which I won't be trying again). Had problems with rowdy kids (and some adults!) when I was on her too.
  12. It often is. I always do that. Can recommend Holiday Inn.
  13. Hopefully not on the two small ships full of us "old traditionalists" !
  14. In your position, if possible I would travel to Southampton the night before and stay in a hotel at the port. Avoids the stress!
  15. Lucky you. I paid twice that much for the Canada cruise. Bargain!
  16. Parking at £9 a day not too bad. Plus breakfast and taxi to and from the ship. I have used this package scores of times and found it very good.
  17. Same with Celebrity. That' why I stopped using them.
  18. If you are upper tier you get half price laundry. They also sometimes have special offers on laundry too. Otherwise prices are not too bad.
  19. City centre a fair way from berth. Shuttle needed unless you like a good walk! Lovely city to wander around.
  20. As poster said, they are cheaper and good value!
  21. Good reviews from some of you on Elizabeth House. So am using for my Arcadia 24 nighter in September. £268 including parking. Not bad and cheaper than my usual, Holiday Inn. Hope it is ok.
