  1. Everything I have my eye on is either more or the same, mostly E-Class Caribbean...
  2. We walked to Junkanno beach and it took about 20 minutes. We parked on the beach right next to Margaritaville and paid $10 for one lounger. We were able to walk to the bar in Margaritaville and get drinks there, but did not really walk around the grounds, we also got drinks from a few of the vendors on the beach, played a little beach volleyball, all excellent. Junkanoo beach is pretty big, so there were plenty of different locations to park for the day and get food and drinks from many different vendors. I would definitely do it again. A day pass for Margaritaville is $100pp You have access to their water park, loungers, towel and that is it, unless you have children to use the water park I cannot see the value.
  3. That's the reason I will continue with it.
  4. The airport was very busy and chaotic. The TSA line wrapped outside and people did not know what the line was for. I am pre-check and my sister is not...she started in line outside and the pre-check line was wrapped around inside the airport. I overheard two TSA agents that seem shocked all the passengers were from cruises... I got through security and 7 minutes later my sister got through. I will continue to pay for pre-check, but in my experience over the last four years the "quickness" going through is almost a non factor, no shoe and belt removal and saving a few minutes is the only benefit in my travels...
  5. The Classic in stateroom bar set-up just went up from $100 to $150 The Premium is now $230 I don't recall what it was before today... I was considering the classic, but there wasn't much of a pre-cruise discount, so I decided to what until I'm on board to see if i should spend the money. I will not be now.
  6. On 1/16 I'll be in Nassau, was considering Margaritaville, but I did not see the value and preference is a beach....the plan for us is to go to Junkanoo beach and walk over to Margaritaville to check it out and grab a few drinks. I'll try to follow up after my cruise.
  7. Happened on Beyond's last transit through the area. I think they are looking for them as they transit through the area. I was on Apex in March, while doing the behind the scenes tour, in the bridge they keeping an eye on a small boat in our path, someone asked what happens if they don't move and was told the bigger ship has the right of way. Don't think there was any way we were stopping.
  8. Usually I like to eat at OV because it can be a quick meal, I do enjoy a "nice" 2 hour sit down at some of the specialties, but I do not need or want a 2 hour dinner every night. I will soon find out myself on Beyond how the OV is at dinner.
  9. And now my app is updated to show the $9.95 plus 18% service charge. I get they can do pretty much whatever they want, but I left NCL after the never ending nickel and diming they do, I typically do not use room service on a ship (can easily walk up to OVC and get something) so this does not really impact me, but it only seems to be the beginning of nickel and diming to ensue on Celebrity.
  10. Was on Apex in March 2022... The pizza was decent, hand tossed type pizza was all I ate, pretty much grab and smash a piece here and there for me.
  11. Will be on Beyond in two weeks, just checked the app and is still complimentary except for late night..
  12. CC ? Cruise Critic or Celebrity Cruises??? Two completely different things...
  13. Not sure if I can properly answer, just my current experience... I have a Beyond cruise very soon, I'm booked for a SV. The minimum bid up to a Sky Suite has started $1000pp and has not changed. As of last week there were still 25+ Sky suites available... Not sure if it helps, but that is my current experience.
  14. Excellent review, I was on Apex in March and loved it, so booked Beyond and leave in a few weeks. We are stopping at Cozumel and Grand Cayman and have never been to either port, so was great/ not so great to hear about a recent stop there. The only 2 excursions I booked through X are in those ports so hopefully a bit smoother. I only booked a 2 hour snorkel in Gr Cayman so I'm off the ship first... If you ever make it back to Key West and have a full day in port I highly recommend the sea plane to Dry Tortugas, it's and unbelievable 4-5 hour trip.... They sell out months in advance, so early planning is required, but well worth the time and money.
  15. Just a guess, but probably the one named “Public Beach”
  16. Happened to a family on my March Apex cruise. They saw us sailing away from Ft Lauderdale on their landing in FLL. They tried to meet up in San Juan, but missed that as well (don't recall why) and was finally able to join the ship in St Thomas.
  17. $109 for Premium $89 for classic before any discounts...
  18. Just my 2 cents…in a similar situation, I was going to do beach day at blue lagoon until I found out they cage sea mammals for profit. I personally will not give my hard earned money to that operation. Now I am going to Junkanoo and maybe walk over and check out the new Margaritaville.
  19. The OP is on board and cruising, I’m sure their figuring it out, doing what we are not, cruising on vaca 😎
