  1. Perhaps you should consider Oceania
  2. Similiar happened to us in Dec. 2023 on the Summit. Lost power during a massive electrical storm heading back to Miami. The lightning show in the middle of the ocean was spectacular and served as our on ship lighting. It did cause the ship to be 2+ hours late returning to port in the a.m. The people who took the risk and book very early return flights home, were none to happy. The rest of us had a fantastic cruise, love the Summit, can't wait to sail her again.
  3. You already asked that in your post #8 and your post #7 makes little sense.
  4. Not to mention that the ship is far better than Nassau under any circumstances
  5. Agree especially having grown up in New England. I get a chuckle with the reaction to the lobster roll served on board, which in my opinion is not edible.
  6. Which makes total sense.
  7. Just curious as to why you seem to feel it's a big deal?
  8. And you seem to know this for a fact and you weren’t even there , cool ability.
  9. The cost of eating in Eden does not deter
  10. That's unfortunate, because I'd not consider 5/6 times out of 11 cruises to be rare.
  11. I really don't understand why people needs others thoughts on if THEY should purchase a drink package. It's simple math, either that math works for you or it doesn't. Some look at it is a pure cost analysis of package v per drink + tips, and some look at it for convenience not caring about the cost, and then some have it with their suite level.
  12. I'd say the majority of people in the U.S. DO live closer to Canaveral than to Fort Lauderdale or Miami, This is really irrelevant when the majority are flying in for their cruise, and in fact most are.
  13. It's like a new car "sale" hurry before it ends, until it doesn't and the next "sale" comes along.
  14. you can just walk to each, they'll both seat in decent time
  15. Not in Aruba, but I ONLY will do small group tours with Celebrity and IMO, from having done several Jeep tours on many islands, the vendors they get to do the Jeep tours have always been fantastic. When I see a Jeep tour I grab it, they go fast. Best one I have ever done was in the Azores.
  16. Kind of like when a tree falls in the forest, if no one is there to hear it, it doesn't make any noise. Seems to me that quite a few here come to the forest to create the noise.
  17. I've never had a problem with your first - or your second -. The third - how about when they announce the bridge team and it's all male, what would you call it?
  18. It’s not 1:1, but still very attentive
  19. Now regards the costs, I agree, absolutely much more expensive. In Oct. 2022 I paid $14K for a 14 day TA in an Edge Villa on the Edge. In Dec. 2023, I paid $12.5K for 9 nights in Celebrity Suite on the Summit. Both excellent cruises and great service, and I knew going in that the costs had risen a lot, but I still do so willingly.

  21. Sorry but I did not make any false accusations, I actually made no accusations at all. I simply stated what YOU said in your post. I then shared what I was told when I called Celebrity. I'm not on a ship thus I cannot READ the newsletter, because I don't have one. Frankly there are so so many different comments here about butlers, teams etc etc I have whiplash from reading them. At this point, I take my info directly from Celebrity, Enjoy your cruise.
