  1. For a minute there I thought I had written this post, right down to the luggage straps and name and number inside the case.
  2. I have no idea - I was only commenting on another thread on the same subject.
  3. Glad to hear that. Don’t want to be spreading rumours. Just for info, P&O don’t allow obc to be used in the casino. Any money you gamble with is charged to the cabin and goes on the credit card at the end of the cruise. I assume it’s not like that on Princess.
  4. Cruise critic but I have no idea when. Hopefully I’ve misread it. I’ll find out in a few weeks on our next Princess cruise.
  5. I am sure I read somewhere that Princess have clamped down on the ability to cash out unused obc in the casino. We did it on our last Princess cruise (2022) as they would only refund us by cheque and if that was in US$ we would lose out on the cost of the currency exchange.
  6. Dear me. Too much excitement for one cruise.
  7. We were on Enchanted Princess in Nov 22 and we took something dressy but not formal. The Caribbean cruises are always more relaxed so as long your DH doesn’t wear shorts, sandals or raggy jeans he’ll be fine.
  8. I used the website rather than the app and was able to book both of our Premium dinners without charge. I read that some time ago here on CC and decided to give it a go and it worked.
  9. We always eat several times in Epicurean on our P&O cruises. The food and service are usually outstanding. Have never tried to order 2 main courses but they can only say no. P&O upcharge for speciality dining is nowhere near the cost of Celebrity so may want you pay a little more.
  10. It’s possibly not relevant to us anymore Phil as we are thinking of cancelling the second cruise unless we can change to another cabin.
  11. If you are on a B2B cruise and you buy duty free, are you allowed to collect it on the last night of the first leg and drink it in your cabin on the second leg. We are doing 2 weeks followed by 5 weeks so a bottle or two to drink during the cruise would be very acceptable.
  12. I’m not sure that Princess will allocate a family cabin to a couple. I think the only time that happens is if you take a guarantee and are lucky enough to be given one of the family cabins. Probably a lot will depend on when you want to cruise. If it’s not in the school holidays you’ll have a better chance.
  13. wouldn't touch either of the two beneath the drop zone. this statement says it all for us. Not going to put up with this for 5 weeks. I feel sorry for all the people who are not on CC and will turn up not aware of the problem with these cabins.
  14. We are not on Regal until August but we have driven to Southampton for other cruises.
  15. For a 14 night cruise you are looking at around £355 per cabin.
  16. P&O should be treating these cabins below the pool in the same way as obstructed balconies. At the time of booking it should be pointed out that there will be very little use of the balcony. We would never have booked a 5 week Caribbean cruise in a cabin with an unusable balcony had we been forewarned. It won’t happen of course. The bottom line is way more important than keeping customers happy. We have now booked 3 Princess cruises and a 21 night on Britannia where thankfully we are nowhere near a pool.
  17. Thanks. I want to email them as I want something in writing. it’s gone now, must have been a blip. Now to see if I get a reply.
  18. Just tried to email customer services at P&O. Just bounced back. Any ideas?
  19. I called Princess yesterday and they answered in 2 rings. I’m not saying it’s always like that but def quicker than P&O.
  20. We had the Bon Voyage package on Iona and it is definitely worth having. I must have lucked out because I only waited about 10 mins and I used the Freefone number.
  21. Just checked a couple of YouTube videos on these aft cabins and it’s a disgrace that P&O are allowing this situation to continue. I would suggest making the pool adult only but I think we all know how successful that would be. Time for a call to TA I think.
  22. Thanks Harry. I think we need to try and change to another cabin.
  23. I know that this has been discussed before but I was hoping that someone might have been on Iona recently who might know if the problem of wet balconies had been addressed. When we booked the only aft cabin available was on deck 12 in the middle of the row of aft cabins (didn’t realise at that time about the waterfall). Since we booked that cruise we were on another cruise in March when we noticed from our deck 12 balcony which was not near the middle that the balconies in the middle were almost unusable as they were always wet. Any info would help.
  24. We always take a photo of the port agent details on a phone - you just never know when you might need it.
  25. I have 3 Princess cruises booked and I have been able to choose a cabin every time.
