  1. There are also tons of great YouTube videos to give you even more info really quickly in case you don't get as many replies here as quickly as you want the info. Happy cruising!
  2. Looks like by counting, 14095 should have the bed by the balcony, only I'd there isn't one cabin along the hall that gets off the pattern for some reason. Not sure if cabins do get off thr pattern thought based on room type. I think I read on a different forum that some room types along rhr hall will not continue with thr pattern so it throws the count off. Fingers crossed. Anyone know about this? 14114, if counting right, has the bed by thr bathroom. Bummer. Man.
  3. I'm not sure if this is in response to my comment. I guess I should have typed $100+ more. My response was to the comment about $100 more. My point was that it is indeed more than $100 more already. But, Im not sure if you were responding to me or someone else's reply. I'm sure MSC will not miss many people that historically have sailed with them but are taking a break overall from cruising due to cost increases. On these boards, many folks that have sailed with other lines are posting that now they are now trying out MSC because prices on the other lines have gone up so much that they are willing to try MSC, even though their prices have increased as well. So, MSC is getting some new business. I actually don't have an issue with the $5 fee for additional entrees. I commented that on earlier posts about that topic when there were the first rumblings about it. Overall, I'm OK with taking a break from cruising if I can't find prices that I think are comparable to the value I'm getting. No problem. I plan to enjoy my next MSC cruise that I have booked and then my Celebrity cruise after that. And, if I don't find something else with a good price for what you get, that's fine. Cruising is wonderful. Ive enjoyed it for many years. But, I'm not paying crazy higher prices just to say I'm cruising. To me, that's not rational. Happy cruising everyone 🙂
  4. I have a MSC cruise booked out of the US and looked at more. I'm indeed seeing prices that are $100 more per person. I'm paying more than $100 more per person. This is the most I've ever paid for a 7 day Caribbean cruise out of Florida on MSC. I'm taking someone and their dad on a first cruise. So, we are going with it. But, I'm not booking anymore MSC cruises right now with the more than $100 price difference. Congrats to folks that are not paying higher prices. Maybe in 2025 for me.
  5. Thanks. Do you or anyone know what's the circumstance for the bed location to get off the every other rotation? Like do certain room types play a role in the rotation? Thanks
  6. Hello all, We have two balconies booked on the Seascape. I'm reaching out to ask if anyone has stayed in cabins 14095 or 14114. If yes, where is the bed located in the cabins? We prefer beds by the balcony door. Please let me know if anyone knows the location of the bags in either of these cabins. Also, if there is anymore information that anyone wants to share about these cabins, we will appreciate that as well. We try to do the best we can selecting cabin locations. The cabins are a little more forward on the ship than we prefer, but that's because one has the Aurea experience and we were told thats the location for those specific cabins. The second has Fantastica experience selected. Thank you so much. Happy cruising! 🤗
  7. We will be on the Seascape. If anyone in the party orders a second, they're ready to pay up, lol.
  8. I was curious what "preparing the Seashore for the American market meant". I've failed the Seashore and thought that it was "prepared" for the market in several ways. Interesting.
  9. Oh my. That is concerning. These sound like relatively visible since they are located in public areas people will indeed see them since they will want to use them for sure. Sounds a bit trashy to not have them fixed ASAP. It's a new ship. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled by previous crises, but it sounds trashy to not have fixed these issues. Oh, and to make it clear, I enjoy sailing MSC. So my comment above is not from a place of downing MSC. It's just not cool to not have repaired or replaced things broken in public areas like doors and elevator pads that are used daily by guests. Could look tacky to guests that pay to use them. Not good.
  10. Ok. Still keeping my calm about it all. Have a great Saturday.
  11. MSC used to have much better pricing for itineraries I was sailing at that time. As other lines have increased pricing, so has MSC. Now I see SOME pricing benefit, but definitely not on the same level that I had experienced in past years. Sadly, its bye to those good old days, lol. (for me).
  12. Everyone is aware that this $5 surcharge is not for all 2nd entrees on the menu and its not rolled out on all MSC ships, right? There are some interesting posts in this thread. Totally agree with one thing here. Change is always possible, at any time in life. Have a good weekend everyone. Happy cruising.
  13. Anyone know how long this has been broken? Also your response makes me think that multiple other things are broken and have been for a while. I'm taking two first time MSC cruisers on this ship in a couple months. It would not be a good look if multiple things are broken, in public areas, on such a new ship. What else is broken or out of service?
  14. I'm sailing in mid December and am optimistic and hopeful that perhaps by a miracle it will he done and I will get to be one of the first to enjoy it. If not. Guess I have to book another sailing soon after to check it out, lol.
  15. I wonder if those times were different based on a Sea Day compared to a Port Day.
  16. Did you choose this cabin during booking your cruise OR was it a guarantee that was assigned to you?
  17. Thanks so much for your question. I will be sailing Celebrity for thr first time in February. We are sailing in Decemeber as well. So, for the February cruise, we are trying to keep the price down. So, I'm considering this type of room so I can have a true balcony. The Sunset Verandas are like $600 more. We could use that money for more experiences during the sailing. So, I am very curious about responses to your question. I'm less concerned about the possible darkness. I am concerned about how narrow they seek to be. We enjoy eating breakfast on the balcony as a nice peaceful way to start off the day. The chairs look rather tight in that space. Looks like not enough room to move around the chairs. How was the amount of space experience for people that had these cabins? Thanks!
  18. Wwith 3 adults and a child, I second getting a second, connecting cabin. Sadly, cruise prices are higher these days. But, certainly sounds like more space is needed unless a suite of some sort is booked.
  19. Man. Crazy pricing. I havent clicked through, but I'm guessing that balcony price may not be for an oceanview balcony. Interesting pricing overall.
  20. There are a lot of great YouTube videos that show the island and what is included in the cruise fare that you already paid. Enjoy
  21. Interesting. I walked out with mine on the Monday after my last a cruise, lol. Took me exactly 56 minutes for the entire process in the DMV that Monday. It's interesting how different states handle it differently.
  22. Thanks. My post wasnt offered as a challenge to what you posted. I quoted your reply to keep the context for my reply. I dont sail on Carnival so I dont compare to that line. Yes, 4-5 years ago, MSC had awesome pricing, but I'm most interested in current sailings and pricing. I enjoy Royal and NCL, but just not right now with their increased pricing. I sailed with them both in 2021 and 2022. Yes, I do compare as shared above for value. Also, yes, I will continue both land vacations as well as cruising. I enjoy them both, as long as the price is right for both. To me, tavel planning is as fun as the travel itself. So, searching for good deals is what I do as part of the adventure. Thanks, and happy cruising to you.
