My friend I booked harmony nov 26 and dec 3 is on a eastern journey cruise. He was in st kitts last sunday, enjoying a 12 top where carnival selected tablemates unlike what rcl does any more. I picked Panama columbia aruba and curacao and costa rica. 3 will be new to me. Especially popular from Galveston. Though I'm not surprised it attracts more high loyalty still not happy they dont do priority. Carnival has priority debark as well as embark. On breeze we did a rescue coming in and didnt dock until 10 am. I was so glad I was priority. Special old time events. I booked a special carnival 2 week journey cruise to unusual ports. So I'm also doing 2 sets of rules. And some extra. Didnt realize carnival journey cruises say mostly high level cruisers so I dont get my priority embarkation and debarkation and tenders. Kinda similar to the whole diamond lounge thing here. They claim too many high level so just dont do it on journey cruises. Finally diamond with carnival and dont get priority. Unlike rcl no compensation. Though I'm still looking forward to another line. Variety is the spice of life. We arent married to rcl.

You jump on mike for liking it but I've seen where you too want your coffee in the morning and would be so unhappy to be barred you expect reimbursement of a extra voucher if kept out. Oh but you dont get the appeal where people want to go get free specialty coffee .. then stay out if it's not for you. I dont go in at HH because early dinner is at 5 pm and the lounge at 5 pm. Nothing against it. I see the appeal but think they changed the early dinner to be exactly the same time on purpose.

Rcl does dynamic pricing so costs and sales vary by demand. I'm on a carnival cruise and all the excursions are full priced. I hate paying full price so rcl suits me better. Plus loyalty perks are best on royal. I get 5 free drinks a days and 2 days of free wifi. No 2 people will pay the same. I get bogo on restaurants but if you are new you wouldnt. I get it you like knowing.. I dont like a fixed high non sale price. I watch prices on planner items. Yes it's not the same as princess.

Mike is onboard what I think is the first of the short allure cruises. 5 that you can book. The 5th was the blue man which maybe they cut when they sent to miami. I walked out it was so bad. Suspeised me how bad. About saving the planet and songs all gloomy.

I'm guessing the 9 day has more unusual ports. Doesnt matter you dont care about the ports, others care. I would pay more for a cruise going to more unusual ports. Best deal for me are refundable group rates. Group rates I get better discounts plus my solo DP340. Find a ta with group rates to pick cabins for your group. If the 7 day is a good deal, I'd book b2b. Do 14 days rather than 9 if the ports were that boring as you say.

At 100 3 months ago I was short .. at $83 or $84, I wouldnt go short. You dont sound like you know stocks very well. It could go lower if the war spreads but for now I wouldnt short and throw away money. Stock sold off a lot since last summer. Over $100 stock was shouting to me to go short. Not here, its found support. ...assuming no ww3. I'd find a better candidate to go short. Do you know how to chart. If you lose money shorting you will be just that much more upset. So you get FREE drink vouchers and claim somehow magically they get 18% tip on a free drink. .. so you tip only at the very end for the diamond drink service. Lol. And yes I know people who tip in cash every meal in Mdr. It takes me very little to add a few $1 bills in my purse to tip for a drink .. or I dont drink. I don't stiff them. Still dont understand how you think free vouchers give tips to the server if you dont tip? Post of the day!

I did bring 4 cans of tall pringles and 5 bags of candy, often even more I give to my steward. Mostly I eat in the WJ.. I havent eaten in the Mdr for breakfast or lunch in forever, so just my cabin steward. I've given some extra cash just because I really liked the steward, depends. My cabin is very clean. Not much for them to do. Yes I tip extra for voucher drinks. $10 for paid dinner on top of the 18% they charge. Lol my print out looks mostly like tips plus some cash tips. I ate 2 nights on allure in Mdr. 3rd night to say hello and lobster night. I do lobster night but not sure that's worth extra tips. Only my steward gets extra treats and cash from me. Dont like this news but no sense to me complaining. Just wish it didnt come just before my 3 weeks on harmony starting nov 26. Never booked 3 before and no others. Booked 2 weeks with 1 friend and then a week with another friend I want to cruise with. I could have cancelled on one friend or the other but good price .. but after that I'm up in the air. Moving. Uggh.

Carnival is at $16 a day regular, same as rcl. They been following us in this but went to once a day housekeeping before rcl. Been over a year since last raise. Employees these days everywhere are pushing for more pay. Need a A1 robot to clean cabins.
