  1. It's not that easy. You sign in with your birthday. I think month and day. I put in month and year and it locked me out and I had to get help. To even start in some machines you put your card in the slot, allure, liberty grandeur ... did oasis and it took me a while. You wave the card at the slot not put the card in. It's a chipped card on oasis. I'm a novice, hardly better than what you say a virgin. You get $6 promotional which is $8 if within first 24 hours. I use this up first. Click on promotional and transfer. This cant be cashes out. Only winnings. Lol I tried because I wanted to change machine and got a slip cents on the dollar. ..I just was confused how to change machines. Transfer from your room is easy ..it just puts a charge against your cabin, like buying a drink or whatever. I see biker says $500 limit.
  2. It's hard to get unless you book when the cruises are released. I've tried more than once and further out than a year.
  3. So you know how many cabins before and now. My steward said she had 17 and went to 25. Not double. ..sounds like another excuse. Sounds worse than carnival. Carnival is becoming higher class than rcl. They whine less.
  4. Do you have the email? I've never heard of a fcc that never expires, only that the date was extended. What was the exact wording?
  5. I assume a lot would pick the balcony since it's less than the other 2 choices.
  6. My next allure cruise in sept they are $31. For 15 punches.
  7. This is new to me. I've had friends who used up old coffee cards on their next cruise and they could still use the cards on different voyages, or b2b. I'm seeing someone who had a old card say he presented it and was given a new card with the ship and date and told it was not good later if not used up. Last one on this list saying only good this voyage.
  8. A OV is quite a bit larger than a standard inside, 170 sf vs 220 sf. I'd price a OV for 4 before I'd do a inside.
  9. But carnival only allows canned water. We brought some flavored carbonated canned water but never drank it. My friend was ok with the free water onboard. To OP you arent supposed to fill containers directly from water spigot. Hygiene reasons. The sign says use a clean cup to refill your containers. Some people being those little flavor things to flavor the free water.
  10. Check the deck plans and see if you are over a bar. I've stayed in a promenade cabin and never got a noisy one but I'm not over anything noisy. Most drinks are around $14. Often there is a cheaper drink of the day around $10.99.
  11. Cozumel and roatan are islands. Roatan there arent excursions to the mainland. A excursion I took to cozumel said they have taken care of any homeless problems there. You never see any homeless do you? Where close by have your heard of these things ... just curious if you mean across a ocean or somewhere in mexico and so you worry about some place else. It's like hearing of a crime in SF and saying well I'm not going to dallas sounds like. But its ok to stay on the ship, but facts are important .. where are these muggings etc. Cozumel is safer than most cities in the usa.
  12. That's my plan. Try it and if I dont like it fill up and the steak and shrimp entree. I'm not that big of a eater.
  13. If a hurricane forecast you will know before you go in time to change, though ike was forecast to go straight to mexico or el paso when I left on a sunday. Friday 5 days later it took a unexpected dog leg toward Galveston. We werent offered a chance to cancel, it was go or lose our money. Tbh I was on carnival not rcl. The cat 1 that hit Galveston 2 years ago was considered so minor it barely made the news. Flooding did happen but not enough to damage my car other than some rain seeping in through a closed door from the wind. Galveston does flood on the port side. Lol I'm cruising again this sept, prices were so good .. I wonder why. ..
  14. Already a thread, maybe the 2 of you can get together ...I think you are on the same ship.
  15. My suggestion is the ship will take care of you, worry about your car. I lost my car to hurricane Ike, parked at ezcruise Sept 2021 a cat 1 passed thru Galveston and I did get some water seepage thru my drivers door and can see salt water still on my cloth seats, parked at lighthouse I would consider a indoor parking place late August or sept. Maybe a higher elevation. The seawall side where they bring in sand is higher than the port side. I only had water up to my car top, the port had 17 ft of water during hurricane Ike. Anyway .. my suggestion is to consider indoor parking depending on your car. Galveston floods easily. Or park at a hotel on higher ground, not near the port.
  16. Unless you have free vouchers the wine pairing is extra. I've got it booked. I saw it's a fixed menu. I love fresh raw fish, but previously frozen so so but I'm looking forward to it. I dont plan on paying for the pairing just maybe asking to buy some of the paired wine with vouchers. I've never seen glasses very full. Idk if they will give you extra of something or substitute. Interesting question. Following just to see comments.
  17. When you check in 45 days before your cruise you pick a arrival time. Did you miss your check in time? Should be soon..
  18. Just ask for a can to be sure. I've asked a few times and gotten a glass if I didnt say, I want a can of coke.
  19. The cafe serves hot and cold coffee drinks you can use with a coffee card. I think only the small is one punch be warned. I get coffee mocha with whipped cream. Some like other cold drinks. Just warning some take more than once punch on your coffee card.
  20. I would have still cruised solo if my sister didnt arrive on time. Why waste the cruise totally since the money was spent.
  21. Short ribs would be my 2nd choice. Usually excellent. No ribs in there, boneless, but called short ribs.
  22. I remember as platinum meeting somewhere and getting priority for tenders. Hope we still do.
  23. I had a bag that we had to search for. It was finally found sitting on the wrong deck for who knows why. A tablemate on rcl used the rcl air to be flown in, so the airline lost her bag, not actually rcl though she blamed them since it was all through them. She worked for them in Portland as a rep. She took it a lot better than I would have. She also had the insurance. She bought some rcl tee shirts in the stores and some bottoms in cozumel. She wore the tee shirts and new pants to formal night and laughed. Her luggage apparently was lost without a trace. A family on rcl was wearing rcl bathrobes around and freaking out. She said her luggage got left behind at the port in Galveston. They gave her $400 to spend onboard. 2 small kids and a husband. She didnt take it very well. Idk if her luggage ever made it during the cruise. I haven't seen it lost on carnival yet. I've seen ot first hand twice.
