  1. If you drink "enough", it's worth it. You decide what is enough. Someone posted the other day they can go to a hotel bar and spend $300 a night, so the package makes sense for them, bit you need to do the math that makes sense to you and decide. We don't get packages ourselves because the value to us isn't there. Only you can decide for yourself. Some get the package just for the convenience of not dealing with individual purchases.
  2. There a fairly limited number of topics when narrowed to cruising on a single line anyway.
  3. That is basically every cruise I've been on. I find maybe 4-5 thing's in a week that have enough seasoning. It's bland on purpose.
  4. You can let them know about your anniversary and they will put a sign on your door and they have special desserts, but not sure of anything else.
  5. Yep, we have those and non surge power strips with both USB and power. Works great when you can get to the plug.
  6. From what I have read online, it hasn't impacted package buyers to any real degree on Celebrity, so give it a little time, and I suspect it's coming to Carnival's brands.
  7. I forget, do the newer ships like Sky have the outlets behind the bed? I know the Royal and Regal do, and I think the Ruby class, but can't remember about the newer ones. In that case, I do the same, and bring a non surge with USB and power and can just set it on the nightstand without having anything strung across the room making a trip hazard.
  8. Is this posted on the stores that they aren't giving out bags and bring your own? This seems so odd to me that they are doing this.
  9. I'm sure Carnival will. Also, Celebrity recently changed their AI package to not include gratuity. I'm sure that is coming soon too to Princess and other Carnival brands.
  10. I think people use that for "Dear Husband" or DW for "Dear Wife". Also DD for Daughter and DS for son. I guess it's just a way to abbreviate the person you are referring to.
  11. The difference now is whether you paid to have the medallion ship or not. Blue lane picks up at the port. Now, could be different outside the US, not experienced that myself.
  12. The blue lane, green lane thing doesn't matter if you have everything completed. No one will pay attention or care.
  13. The coffee in the buffet is free for everyone. Well, not free, but included in your cruise fare. They stopped trading out mini bar setup for coffee packages back in the spring. Trust me, I've complained about it because it was a huge benefit cut to elite's who enjoyed the trade. If that is what you mean, it has nothing to do with packages of any kind, it's just the coffee in the buffet.
  14. I've never been on a ship that didn't have bags to put merchandise in to carry back to my stateroom. You are saying that none of the shops onboard the ship had bags to put purchased items in?
  15. Hmm. I wasn't planning to stop at the store on the way to the port, but I might have to. I hope Sky in December has coke zero. I might be mad if they don't.
  16. Yes, I'm well aware of this benefit cut and even though it's only impacted me on one cruise, I'm still not happy about it.
  17. This is one of the reasons I avoid balcony cabins. The smell of smoke can ruin the balcony experience.
  18. You will be provided instructions on where and when to go between cruises to wait. Usually only takes an hour at most. There will be a waiting area setup for you either on or off the ship in the port area.
  19. You seem to be suggesting you can trade mini bar in for the zero alcohol package. That isn't true unless something has changed recently.
  20. See if they will give you obc for the $6k and you can have a couple of meals at murano and Tuscan grill.
  21. Does this mean if there is excursion credit it can't be used for other things you might us obc for? I ask because with some cruiselines we get excursion obc, but can use that for anything, not just excursions.
