  1. Our first cruise together was in 2007 on the Volendam and we got an upgrade offer to a Neptune. That experience has cost us a fortune and over 500 plus days of cruising and 285 days booked in future cruises. I think the Volendam started our cruising addiction.
  2. Did you bring some Orange clothing Roy? I know you’ll have the ship rocking at the party!😁
  3. Good morning. @1ANGELCAT HAPPY BIRTHDAY!🎂🍾 @Nickelpenny Bon Voyage!🛳🍾 Today is prep day for our count our Blessings day. The neighbors we are having Thanksgiving with do not like to cook and she has very fussy and simple taste. So we have the majors covered. The other neighbor she is originally from Taiwan and our traditional food is unfamiliar to her. Her and her husband are high level engineers and he prefers canned cranberry not us but he makes a mean corn casserole . We prefer oyster dressing but making some plain for others. Couple won’t have giblet gravy because of content. We will provide the only homemade dessert. So you get the picture we are cooking what we like and trying to please all. Should be an interesting day. No matter their preference's they are cherished friends. We received some much needed rain yesterday and the day is starting cooler but sunny. We have been to today’s port and can’t remember if we are visiting again. Pretty place thanks for the pics. So our Canadian friends it’s your turn to smell all the wonderful aromas coming out our kitchens today. I always feel hungry when reading about your earlier then our Thanksgiving.🦃 Thoughts and prayers for all in need and special thoughts that these innocent hostages are safely released. Have a great day and safe travels. Bruce
  4. Everything worked. Chat and the recipient was notified they had a message. My main point is that everything worked on their similar or same app so why not Hal’s compared to the poster’s experiences on this thread. One feature I really liked was prior to the cruise we could see and peruse the ships daily menus. Frankly other then maybe having to initially reboot Hal’s App once in a while it has worked pretty well for us.
  5. @artlee We are very experienced cruisers and cannot compare but I will say our first experience was so great a couple of weeks ago that we booked the 2026 Seabourn World cruise on Soujourn. Using You Tube search has comparisons of some of top luxury lines. There our many video streams on Seabourn. We also just started cruising on Azamara and loved that line and our going on their 2024 World Cruise. Seabourn was a step up but enjoy these small ships lines after years of cruising Hal. We are busy trying to put a dent in the Ski Fund aka Spending Kids Inheritance Fund. Hope you get some more answers but Seabourn Roll Calls are not very active. The don’t have Meet and Greets. Enjoy.
  6. Recently cruised on Seabourn and they basically use the same app onboard pretty similar to Hal. Worked great not sure why Hal could not use the same.
  7. Ortho appointment with my Dr. next Monday. It’s all working. Hope I can read the radiology report later as I’m in their portal. Schedule is going fine. Just received E-Mail on our itinerary changes no Israel but still Jordon and Egypt and some other Turkey and a couple of new Greek ports. On to You Tube and check out the new ports.
  8. MRI done. Always an intense experience. Don’t move for 15 minutes with all that thunderous racket. Awaiting disc will take to orthopedics. Heavy rain is here.
  9. Good morning everyone. Up early as I have to leave at 6:45 for my MRI to see how that possible torn meniscus looks. I do not believe any of us will be cruising to today’s port of call in Israel. We on the World Cruise have still not been notified of any changes whereas most lines have cancelled through 2025. News flash just stated Hamas cease fire release of some hostages may be in final stages.🙏 The rain is coming and some areas more likely West of us may be in store for some rough weather. Already 72 degrees and with rain will give myself extra driving time. Thanks for the report and kind thoughts and wishes from yesterday’s Daily. Bruce
  10. Now that’s a good meal for a patient with heart issues.👏🏻
  11. Thanks all. The key to getting this on the fast track and that was the MRI which is tomorrow morning. This is a large orthopedic group and I wouldn’t be surprised the surgery will be done within a week. I’ll even take Thanksgiving!😊 God’s got this.🙏
  12. Thanks for your thoughts. I’m going to have a busy month. X-Ray was normal but doctor says “I have classic meniscus tear.” They are rushing to take care of me. MRI tomorrow morning at 7:45, f/u at ortho then schedule arthroscopic surgery as early as possible. Post surgery a couple of days on crutches then a few days of PT. Can continue exercise on ship. 🤞Do pray that I will make it. Geez I just read what happened to you. Glad nothing serious. Be careful. Appreciate your concern and others. Bruce
  13. Love chicken parmigiana but if I have an option I choose veal. Looks delicious. Thanks Debbie
  14. Good morning. So far it’s clear and 60 degrees but this afternoon will climb to 75 degrees. Tomorrow looks like a wash out and a possibility of strong storms. We both have our orthopedic appointment’s today and praying we both get green flags. My Sue has donated heavily to New Zealand and Marlborough Wine’s economy. Turkey is out starting it’s thaw and I can tell we our having cooler weather as there will be two loads of laundry due to the extra bulk of cold weather clothes. Have not been to today’s port of call but if all goes right that will be checked off next year. Just want to say thankful to all that post and especially those who post the featured postings. Lot’s of time and loyalty there. @rafinmd Roy if I’m read yesterday’s post from your transit you watched your live in person transit on the web cam? 😊Seriously did you see any actual signs of the drought and has there been any recent relief from rain. By other reports there appears to be quite the back up on both oceans awaiting passage. Have a great day everyone and wishes for safe and timely travel for those traveling this week. Bruce
  15. Good morning. Went to bed at 6:00 PM last night as I had a low grade fever and tummy issues. The fall I took last June on our cruise is now leading to some knee issues and will see an orthopedist tomorrow. Need to get these issues fixed or treated as I’m running out of time before our cruise. If I couldn’t go I would want Susan to go. We’ll see. Did not sleep well as I had a recurring game of solitaire playing in my head. It would just not go away. Fever appears gone but I may also have my semi annual case of sinusitis going on. When it rains it pours. Thanks for the Report and post. Bruce
  16. Good morning. Have been to today’s port of call several times and not a favorite. Not much to see. Pay local shuttle to get into town, see our church but you’ll have to pay to enter. Main attraction was a dam that produced hydro electricity. There was one small church that welcomed us and gave us some samples of maple syrup fudge and the recipe. Currently 62 with clear skies and temperature will rise to 78. Maybe a ride in the Spyder with the top down. Maybe a visit to our local farmers market and a local church is having a German type Christmas bazaar. I remember growing up in Vermont and going to a cider mill. That apple cider was so good compared to today’s pasturized. The news never seems to mention lately what’s going on in Ukraine but our prayers continue as well as for Israel and the innocent citizens of Palestine. For all of you having aches, pain, medical issues and losses we got you covered also. It will be a busy week of travel and I’m glad we are staying home. Turkey will start thawing today. Have Thanksgiving dinner at neighbors house but we are doing the turkey, oyster dressing, Hubbard Squash and cranberry sauce. Neighbors doesn’t like to cook but she is providing mashed and sweet potatoes and some sides. Enough rambling. Thanks for the Fleet Report and postings. Always good hearing from you. Bruce
  17. My find of the day. For our Canadians have any of you seen this gent?
  18. Here’s a link to Hubbard Squash. Not so available here in the South but we usually can find one at our Commissary around October or November. Great taste. https://www.foodnetwork.com/how-to/packages/food-network-essentials/hubbard-squash
  19. Good morning! Currently 61 degrees and forecasted to get up to 76 F. Yesterday I told you about my new phone that would not charge after trying at least six different charging cords. So yesterday we go to our appointment at Best Buy and the tech plugs his charging cord into my phone. You guessed it the phone started charging. We bought two wireless magnetic chargers so we would have a backup. Came home plugged my charging cord and it worked. I dunno! We did have a lovely dinner at the famous McGuires Irish Pub. Split a USDA Prime NY Strip. Glad we arrived early as when we left folks were backed up at front door awaiting seating. Need to get a walk in this morning, do some acorn harvesting and re caulking our walk in shower. We enjoy Butternut Squash but our favorite is Hubbard Squash. They are seasonal and hard to find but we got some last month cooked them and they are ready for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the Fleet Report and post. Bruce
