  1. The one time we tried to get something from the dining room at coastal kitchen, we asked the day prior, and the CK staff said no problem. Apparently, they went very early in the evening to get the item, and by the time we had our dinner It was dried out and not edible. We have never asked since. We liked some of the old dining room items and assume we will like some of the new current menu items. When there’s an item we like the dining room, we go there instead of coastal kitchen. m
  2. Of course the towels/napkins/sheets are washed with those that others have used. m
  3. FYI- pinnacle don’t have access either on many radiance class sailings. I am currently on a Radiance class ship, 46 Pinnacles (lots of D and D+) and no access. Just for suites. I suspect this will be the norm moving forward. m
  4. On many radiance class ships (it may vary from sailing to sailing), the concierge lounge is only available to suite guests. Pinnacle‘s have access to the diamond lounge, not the concierge lounge. The lounge has continental breakfast, evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and specific morning and evening hours for the concierge, should you need specific services During the day, it is mostly empty and a quiet place to sit. m
  5. Except for the first night, the shows have been 715 and 915. The first Night there was only one show at seven or so so we missed it. Lounges are open all day. The Concierge afternoon hours are at 4:30. Cocktail start at that same time. m
  6. And hot dryer. We use this service often and recently have been more pleased than in the past. Our clothing comes back clean, nicely folded and with few, if any, wrinkles We get our clothing back somewhere between 24 and 48 hours later. If we use it at the end of the cruise, we always sent it out two days prior. M
  7. Unless I’m missing something, there’s no notification in the chat function that you have a message. You have to actively be on the app, and look up into the chat icon to see if there’s something waiting. m
  8. You are correct, there is no special event listed, although it is mentioned in the welcome letter. The overflow is fine for me. I never understood the need for a designated pinnacle event, especially if seating and service are not an issue. The dedicated reserved seating in Vortex for diamond plus and Pinnacle is overkill. There is more than enough seating for anyone who wants to be there If we visit a lounge (d, suite/concierge) it is generally after 6. Every time the food is overflowing, like it was just put out. Guess that is the mark of great staff. m
  9. Yes, most definitely. You can view the daily menus on the app (Scroll down past the kids menu.) or you can ask for a paper version. Either one I have some all-time favorites that I order most every cruise. Sone are the cherry tomato, gazpacho (The waiter always says to me, “you know that’s cold soup , don’t you“, quinoa/fennel , grilled pea h salad, rice, paper rolls. I used to order the spaghetti “ Bolognese” but it has become too spicy for my taste. There is a nice variety of appetizers, entrées, and dessert for each evening. It looks like some vegan options are incorporated into the new menus. m
  10. Yes I know. And if you recall, the plates were more like oval serving platters. My comment was more about that a cruise ship is not a fast food restaurant, than it was about a tray. m
  11. It is disgusting to think that people eat their food after bringing it on to a crowded. The only thing is worse, is when I see people actually eating on the elevator. if I ever use the buffet, I use one plate for my food, and another, for a cover even if I’m just walking from the food station to my table. m
  12. Who is growling? Seems like a win/win for everyone. We stopped in and found ample comfortable seating especially in the overflow, accommodating staff everywhere, lots of food set up in the lounge. Some designated reserved seating in the overflow for D+ and Pinnacle but the whole area is available to enjoy. It is not exclusively for pinnacle, but for anyone D, D+ and P to enjoy. (The concierge lounge is restricted to suite guests only). Met and spoke to a few lovely quests (Don’t know their status, didn’t ask and didn’t care), and no one seemed unhappy. With the combination of lounge and overflow, the area was not even half full. The space is good, view beautiful, helpful staff, and plentiful food. m
  13. On some ships/cruises, pinnacle members also are not allowed in the concierge lounge. That is the current status of the January 6 Jewel cruise. They made a Diamond lounge overflow. m
  14. Thanks John. Yup. There is a P event in Vortex. Got the invite for Cheers with an officer but not the top tier. We had just 12 Ps on Jewel just prior to the Christmas cruise. I think these high numbers are here to stay. m
  15. I don’t know what those stats mean, however, we were on the December 9 Jewel as well we had a terrible time staying connected/getting service. hopefully it will be better this week. m
  16. The connection was awful in December. Very slow if you could even get connected. m
  17. Prior to Covid, Royal and many other lines used San Bernardo ice cream. Not sure if they still use it but recently the ice cream on board is loaded with ice chunks. m
  18. Not too much, but keep on cruising. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf edit-sorry, just saw you were interested in onboard offers. If there is anything, it would be in a letter that you would receive from the royalty ambassador. It will be in your cabin upon arrival. I don’t have the sample letters for all the categories, but maybe somebody on this site has one for the gold members. m
  19. We had an acceptance last month 2 days prior to the cruise. All others were declined and we received an email in the evening. I've been told that the chances of getting a royal up once on board is somewhere between slim and none. M
  20. Nothing fishy - I'm perfectly satisfied. I never come close to using the daily drink vouchers so don't care of if use one for a morning coffee. Even in Chops Suite/Pinnacle breakfast the staff sometimes asks for a card. I see the zero charge on my account but never get a straight answer if my daily drinks are actually charged for the breakfast coffee. Wasn't a lounge person, so a drink or two in some ship venue was always sufficient. Never saw the need or had a desire to throw back lots of cheap wine or liquor during a few happy hours. I know others liked the unlimited drinks, and that's OK too. M
  21. I agree that the sofas in the cabins need some work. Whoever decided to put an overstuffed couch (or loveseat) in a small balcony cabin needs to be fired. Plus the cushions were deformed, and some of the stitching was torn. We kept a sheet on couch. This was the case for our recent experiences on Serenade and Jewel m
  22. We were on in December, with a broken machines in the concierge and diamond lounge. We were not giving any vouchers to use in Café latitudes or elsewhere. Plus, windjammer espresso machine did not have decaf. I used a daily crown and anchor drink voucher many times. M
