The $36 laundry bag. Is it worth it?
cruisegirl1 replied to dltaeg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you are speaking of the wash and fold bag, it is about 12x18 sometimes plastic, sometimes paper. You will be surprised how much fits in the bag. Best to roll the items. The offer is for certain listed items- underwear, socks, t shirts, pj’s, shorts, swimsuits ( men’s swim trunks). The clothing is washed in hot water and dried on high so the offer is not suitable for delicate clothing or anything that can’t be hot washed and dried. Simply ask the cabin attendant for the bag and form. It takes 24-48 hours to get the clothing back. We find it useful but are careful of the items we send. m -
I have no idea if there will be a fee to use the adult area but I wonder if Royal Caribbean ever imagined that the Coco Beach club would get close to $300 per person on some dates. It is $283 per person (that includes a small % off sale) on an upcoming March cruise. Seems like the more they raise the prices the more people want the item. They will find that there is a market for another “exclusive” area and folks will pay almost anything to be there. m

Coco Beach Club Lunch Reservation Question
cruisegirl1 replied to slotmomma3's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I don’t believe so as reservations are made at the Beach Club. It never occurred to us to ask the concierge to make Beach Club lunch reservations. However, I suspect a genie can take care of it. m -
Changing C&A Status on B2B?
cruisegirl1 replied to handbellplayer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Hitting Pinnacle is handled differently than all the other tiers. (Congrats surfguyxxx) The OP is NOT trying get new status in the middle of a cruise, but status after the cruise is completed. It should be no problem. M -
Changing C&A Status on B2B?
cruisegirl1 replied to handbellplayer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You completed a cruise that changed your status and they world not give you the new status on the new cruise? The second cruise of the. B2B is the next cruise and is eligible for the new level. The LA knows your numbers. Recently on a B2B they figured our new points immediately as we were then recognized at the second cruise top tier as one of the top cruisers. OP-there’s no reason that your new level will not be reflected on the second cruise, as long as you completed all the points necessary on the first cruise. m -
Changing C&A Status on B2B?
cruisegirl1 replied to handbellplayer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes-speak with the LA towards the end of the first cruise. They will be able to verify your current points, will know what you will earn on the first cruise and can make the change for the second cruise. The sea pass card you will receive for your second cruise will not reflect your new status. But the LA will be able to print you a new card. m -
First cruise as a Diamond
cruisegirl1 replied to oasisorbust's topic in Royal Caribbean International
THIS is so true Many don't bother to read the letters then complain that they know of or didn't get a benefit. OP - If the letters are not in the cabin see the Loyalty Ambassador and the Diamond Concierge. Enjoy your perks. M -
2nd Lobster 16.95 in dining room.
cruisegirl1 replied to islandwannabee's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes, those are the new rules. We did a Back to Back cruise last month with the old menu for the first cruise and the new menu for the second cruise. It was weird to have some of the drastic changes overnight. Lobster night on the first cruise, the waiter brought is two each without us even asking. SAME waiter for the second crise and we understood that he could only bring one. Honestly we didn't see any difference in size/taste in the lobster on the cruise with unlimited lobster tails and the second week with just allowing one. M -
Thanks, one of my favorite perks. We have found that all the ships without a coastal kitchen provide breakfast the last day in specialty restaurants for Pinnacle/suites, since that would be the place for the suites to have breakfast. On ships with no CK, there is either a combined suite/pinnacle daily breakfast or two restaurants are used. Guess it depends on suite/pinnacle numbers. We’ve had it both ways, and either is fine with us. m

Restrictions on ordering with new menus
cruisegirl1 replied to hac82's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If the garden salad is on the menu, no reason why you can't get a larger one (or two regular) for dinner. I used to get a double salad and a piece of plain chicken or salmon on top. I suspect the protein addition is no longer allowed. I guess I can order a shrimp cocktail, ( if offered that night) and salad and combine to make dinner. M -
Diamond Plus Laundry Benefit?

The regular laundry where you pay per item and dry cleaning is terrific. There is often a dry cleaning special. We've been pleased every time. M -
Restrictions on ordering with new menus
cruisegirl1 replied to hac82's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was able to get easy substitutions, like a baked potato rather than mashed potatoes. Or double green vegs and no starch. I get all my meals with no sauce/gravy and that was not a problem. I never asked for any item that was not already on the menu for that evening m -
I’ve taken at least 30 sets of back-to-back cruises. I’ve been questioned in the hallway, maybe twice. I’ve shown my in transit pass and have immediately gotten a very warm. “welcome back on board“. I’ve never been questioned by anyone who was servicing the rooms. Two times in all of our back to backs, we were questioned was by deck supervisor. Once the supervisors learned, we were back to back, it was no issue at all. I never have a problem being questioned, as the staff are simply doing their job. Once I show them the pass, it is no issue at all. m

You won’t be in CK on Serenade, as there is no CK on Serenade. Do you mean concierge lounge? if so, you are correct. If your daily allotment was charged, just see the concierge or guest services to have it reversed. Should you decide to have a drink any place else on the ship, your daily allotment will be charged. m

That is good to know. The last time we were there was in February 2022 and the pool was NOT heated. M

Are bathrobes in balcony cabins
cruisegirl1 replied to Fireball Frank's topic in Royal Caribbean International
According to Royal Caribbean’s website, crown and anchor benefits section, the robe benefit is available to all platinum and up C&A members. There is a footnote accompanying, which indicates that robes are available upon request. Previous poster is correct, anyone, in any cabin, may ask for a bathroom. so OP, yes, you may ask for a robe in your balcony cabin https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf m -

Crown and anchor, platinum members, and above may request a robe for on board use. m -
In my opinion (and that means nothing), there is no way we would spend nearly $500 just to be at the beach club. Loungers/umbrellas are plentiful on all of the other beaches. The complimentary pool is quite large. The snack shack, and the buffet are enjoyable. If you want slightly different lunch, you can pay a few dollars and get some bar food at Captain Jack’s. Plus, in December, unless the beach club pool is heated, it may be too chilly to enjoy. With all this said, we’ve been to the beach club right after it opened. It was a nice day and in our opinion not worth more than $50 pp. These prices are crazy. Are people actually paying them? m

cruisegirl1 replied to Fireball Frank's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My C&A level is eligible for a robe but I generally have to ask. Once I ask, it is delivered by the next day. Every now and then, the robes are in the cabin, but that is the exception not the norm. m
