  1. We're on the 2 Sept Riviera. Ours was very quiet. It has picked up some but sharing tours is practically non-existent. We're longtime cruisers but this is our first on Oceania. I'm blaming the lack of participation on the pandemic and FB. Found this also on Princess & NCL 🤷‍♀️
  2. @Seas2mountains Try the bourbon manhattan - had it on the Joy and it was a nice sipping drink. We were on the Spirit before the dry dock/update. Cute ship, perfect for AK
  3. When going from the cruiseport - how long did you have in Amsterdam? Our time is 11-8 - wondering now if it was the right choice.
  4. Yes, we'll be docking 14/9 and flying out 16/9 I was just doing a good search. Thank you!
  5. Question: I see via your link that Copenhagen is have having what is listed, "Copenhagen Ocktoberfest" the weekend we'll be there. Would you happen to have more information or link to activities? Thank you again for all the great information you post - it's appreciated.
  6. They used to ship them to you for free - pay is something new since ?maybe March (we were on Enchanted in February 2023 & it was free). When they first were launched, I thought I would hate them but after multiple cruises I love them! Great for having a Cappuccino delivered to your cabin pipping hot! (hint) btw: great blog - great to look back on the memories!
  7. Do they serve a specific brand of sparkling or is it random?
  8. @Fishbone Enjoying your read - the boys are certainly having the time of their lives! Curious what you are doing while they are fishing? Is the cruise your reward? 😄🚢
  9. Thank you all - came back to get the exact info and glad I did. Put the link on my Hulu.
  10. So sorry to hear of your experience with Carmel - hate to hear that when you make a recommendation. We have used them for years and have them booked for this summer. We used them last October but family have used them as recently. Dial 7 comes with good recommendation, however we have not used them. **Of note, we usually use them for Long Island to JFK/LGA or the cruiseport in Brooklyn or Manhattan.
  11. @love2crews. Thank you for such a detailed view of your trip. We'll be visiting some of the same port at the end of the summer only our add on is London.
  12. @Fishbone Love your nail polish - is that a big green pine(?) tree? lol I did a CC review on our 2018 Coral Princess trip but first did land for 6 days on our own. It's a fun thing to do and memory to have. OMG, at Walmart, I hope you picked up warmer clothing other than waders 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ BTW: Lakefront Anchorage Hotel has a nice outdoor place for lunch to watch the sea planes land and take off.
  13. @Fishbone a good rain/windbreaker is usually needed. A quilted vest is good. We live in FL too and I have vests I wear in the winter. Ketchikan has great shopping opportunities, just an FYI
  14. @Coral Beautiful pictures - thank you for sharing your adventures!
  15. There doesn't seem to be "cheap flights" anymore, especially to Europe. I wish I had booked when the flights came out but didn't. Sailing September - flying to LHR, booked February (prices kept going up) - ended up the flight we wanted was almost FULL. Book at a price you are comfortable with - not many deals to be had.
  16. Thank you for all your great advice on the CC boards. Do the taxis accept credit cards (visa)? We will be staying 2 nights @ Nyhavn, I'm sure they will be able to arrange the airport transportation (no need to pre-book?)
  17. Good Morning We are taking the O "transportation to Amsterdam" from Rotterdam (September 2023) Would like to know where the drop-off/pick-up point would be in Amsterdam. Thinking it would be Centraal Station area - does anyone have experience with this ? Thanking you for your experience. PS: I know it can be done by train (not an option) And, also know that it's a long day for a short period of time.
  18. My sentiments exactly, DH not so much - I think I need to do a little convincing, lol😄 Thank Youl
  19. Captain Stringer - one of my favorites! ❤️ Loving your live - did you feel Stonehenge was worth the trip?
  20. @Clay Clayton Beautiful view! Not on Instagram so if you post here - I'm sure many of us would still enjoy traveling along.🌞
  21. @John Bull Thank you for this information. This is exactly what we have planned after the red eye from NY. Silly question, I know we can start at any stop (Big Bus - Victoria Sta #25) - do the buses go in one direction - the next stop being #26 ?
  22. @YVRteacher Good Morning from Florida! Enjoying your Live every morning with coffee and reminiscing the oh so familiar memories of the last couple of years with my Dad. He has been gone for a while. 😘 I'm sure your travels and insight will help many dealing with loved ones with dementia - thank you for sharing.
  23. Yes, definitely. Carmel & Dial 7 will monitor your flight, you text/call when you get your luggage and they will be there within minutes. We were at a wedding in Tribeca that lasted until wee hours - town car was ready and waiting. We have never had a problem. Carmel is booked for our upcoming trip in Aug/Sept.
  24. @We_like_to_cruise Thank you for taking us along on your travels - enjoyed ! Safe home
  25. @Teechur We bring the LED tea lights with us - take virtually no room - we bring 2 for 10-14 day cruises (turn off during the day to save battery life) Can get at Dollar Tree and Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Brigle-Battery-Powered-Flameless-Decoration-Christmas/dp/B09LCHJD9S/ref=asc_df_B09LCHJD9S/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=563717045018&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13379667869912228886&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9051981&hvtargid=pla-1659968389637&th=1
