  1. Looks nice a nice relaxing cruise. I do not think I would like 2 ports in 10 days.I was supposed to be on Carnival cruise this week followed by a week in Sydney. We had to cancel a week before bc of a health issue with my mom. Nice to see the pictures. It looks like you're having fun.
  2. I fly a few times a month. I have always use my phone for my boarding pass, for many years.Thats the beauty of apple wallet, no internet needed. And while yes I could lose my phone, I could lose a random paper just as easily. I do get this as I don't love a digital room key on my phone either. But Baltimore was the longest slowest check in I have ever done. We definitely showed it a million times.😆
  3. Nope I come the second before they release the seats. I do not understand why you're so resistant to the the idea that people enjoy it. They put nice treats in your room ,give you a nicer welcome and a few special meals. All for a few dollars more.I'Im not sharing my internet or selling it to friends on my roll call. Obviously I am not a new cruiser. I bought the Beach Club at CoCo Cay today also EVEN THOUGH I could go for FREE to the island .Different things are for different people.
  4. The food in the overwater cabanas is the same food that is at the Bech club? The lobster and filet? So I have to make a reservation for lunch? What is early? 8am or 10?😀 This is exactly me. I have been a lot to the island and never wanted to spend the money, never even considered it. But I'm going with a friend so only paying for me and now I can say I did it. I am actually a little worried my friend will miss the fun party pool.
  5. @PompeySailorSo your plate looks amazing, you can have more than one of each item? So its like in the mdr, order as I please?
  6. Because my husband works and uses his phone and computer at same . You a big flow rider user? I suspect not? We are and husband is up that early anyway. As I said, we have found value in it and enjoyed the reserved seating and other perks.
  7. Ive gotten it many times at 21.99 and 19.99.We always get 2 internet and sometimes 3 for the 2 of us. I like to walk in at last minute to great seats. I like the hours of less crowded flow rider. I also live near to port. My husband likes to cut line and set off to head to meetings. As I said, WE don't find it to be bad when on sale.
  8. If you are a person who gets zoom, its not bad. For another few dollars a day you get the chops lunch and the good breakfast plus reserved seating at shows. And you skip the line on disembarkation, it was great. This has had great value to us on Oasis class ships.
  9. Ive never been able to use anything with amex. You must book through them.
  10. OMG I read your post and immediately got a bad feeling. I spent hours on the phone today trying to change 2 of my 5 cabins to connecting. She said it couldn't be done and had found me two one apart. I accepted 9071 and 9067. Thanked her for all her help and hung up. Just went and looked at my new booking and we have 2 cabins, 9030 and 9035, opposite sides of the ship. They were better before she helped me. my mother has dementia and can't be that far away.Uggggggg.
  11. The good news is that they serve excellent coffee all over the ship. Beautiful espresso machines behind every bar. We had zero bad ones.
  12. @GA Dave You sound like a guy I'd enjoy cruising with. Thanks for the great tips on the buffet and the Sky Bar. I am headed on board with my family, 5 cabins and hope it goes well as I talked them into this bc I liked the ship. I had a rough experience with Meraviglia but I was on her first sailing after covid reopening. I wrote off MSc. Until I got a free one on Divina that I liked. And then went on Seashore, where I had a blast. It is truly a different line and definitely not for everyone. Attitude determines a lot. It took me 3.5 hours to board a RCCL Enchantment of the Seas in July. They changed our dinner time to late and had the audacity to allow a tropical storm to change our ports to sea days. We simply made the best of it bc it's a cruise.😃
  13. Thats a great deal . I got a few of those. and some amazing casino offers, I do not gamble. lol
  14. It was on my freedom not on my Sapphire. On the app, chose a card ( if you have more than one) and scroll all the way to the bottom. It is the very last thing. and should be lots of offers. The offers you are talking about are in messages.
  15. They're so short staffed but Ive never experienced waits of that long. Pizza at night is always slow. The delihnd guys gets backed up at the main lunch hour. Go earlier or later.
  16. They are a really beautiful ship. Understated elegance. The food was very good. The clientele was older and not for us.
  17. Your view of cruises exactly matches mine. Ship within a ship was glorious but got it on a bid deal. otherwise, nope. Oh so glad to hear, I have a Virgin booked for May in Europe. And Im paying top dollar full price bc a friend wants to try it. I hope its amazing. Yes I have been on the forums. Id say they mean a lack of say slides, attracts a different crowd which makes them happier. Id agree. Husband hates Princess bc he wants to do stuff, flow ride all day, etc. But we pay for specialty dining and feel we get the best of both. The uncrowded ports are better bc you get to experience more IMHO They may be acting but that doesn't mean they do not value you and enjoy seeing you again. We own a resort and love our repeat guests and genuinely wish to make them happy. Thats why people enjoy the hospitality business. When I was a bartender, I loved talking to people and getting to know them. bc you don't value those things, doesn't mean they hold no value.
  18. Not crazy at all, its a heck of a deal. I have flexibility so that close one is awesome. And everything is cheaper also with them.
  19. Agree. Definitely check prices bc they're all over the place on both lines. But I do have to figure in the value of my free drinks, coffee, internet and picture.
  20. Id call the MSc ships an upgrade. They are really beautiful. If you can grab a 30% off on MyVegas , you can use it on any cabin and promo. Its a great deal. and apparently it combines with the voyager 5% discount. I haven't used it but have done plenty of research on it. My cruise this weekend on Seashore is a "free" cruise. 7 nights in a deluxe balcony for 300,000 points plus 150pp taxes. I am pretty excited to see a new MSc ship.
  21. When I cruise with my husband I tend to go upscale and fancy. When I am solo or with kids, I love a deal. I stopped working recently and there are incredible deals currently on cruises.I do not have loyalty to any one, but Royal is my favorite and gives me the most perks. My September cruise is always an upscale for my anniversary. But this year its a land trip to Germany. Carnival has the most fun deck parties and best lunch choices.😁
  22. When shopping prices, be aware they include a lot more and are often truly all inclusive. Tips, all restaurants, drinks, excursions and better ports. They definitely are more pretentious on some lines. I am not loyal and have tried most once. I am looking forward to trying Windstar and a river Regent. Better food, unique ports would be the reason to try others.
  23. I don't think it is that at all. The luxury cruises are smaller so they can go to different ports. As such they do not have room for slides and go carts. And while clothing doesn't make the food better, small ships like Oceania, Regent , Crystal etc.have considerably better food. You're not being charged for filet, lobster, scallops etc.And they do not dress fancy, they do dress nicely . The entertainment is a huge drawback for us. There was a lady with a harp on our Azamara cruise.
  24. There wa s a few fish by the rocks and the bridge. Not great like NCL or CoCo. Worth a look.
  25. I enjoyed a free 3 day in April. And on July 9th , Im going on a 7 day on Seashore. It was 300,000 points. And $300 in port taxes. It's a heck of a deal considering Royal was 1 million points for a 4 day for an inside. I got a deluxe balcony on both sailings. Cant wait to try the 30% on a yacht club.
