  1. Something like that has become my go-to for nearly any "dress" at all. Believe it or not, I've found the "Amazon Essentials" to be at least as good as just about anything else, and they are $30/pair. No one was more shocked than I.
  2. As you can see, it's rare to find a suite booking that does not include all the goodies. Your best bet, though, is to check directly with the TA outfit you are looking at.
  3. And many are essentially out of reach if you care to sit comfortably in any manner.
  4. The Retreat Lounge on Millenium and Summit leave a lot to be desired where I'm concerned. The furniture is that revolutionized, Hoppen-style that makes for lovely photographs but very little comfort when seated. There are folks who don't bother with it because of trouble sitting down and even more trouble getting up. Reaching your drink on a table (where there one) can be . . . a chore. The only time I saw either crowded was during the officers' reception or debarkation. Frankly, I greatly prefer the Rendezvous. Besides it being designed for folks to actually sit and enjoy themselves and a cocktail, it also doesn't have that tacky TV constantly showing X ads.
  5. It certainly is nice! I don't recall the speed we got, but it was fast enough that I didn't care.
  6. Kind of along what Bo said . . . . The worst thing that can happen is that they do charge the corkage fee for her bottle(s). If they do, I wouldn't make a fuss. If they don't, then enjoy and move on. You're ahead either way,.
  7. Operations that do charters rarely do so only once. It's hard business to turn down.
  8. We also have had a recent good experience with SS Air regarding scheduling. At first, they had us on a 5 AM flight on our way home. While we were willing to go along with that if necessary, our TA was able to work out with them a much more reasonable time (around noonish) at no additional cost and no additional legs. We're quite pleased.
  9. We were on Reflection back in February and had no issue with portion sizes (and, believe me, we eat). I don't recall a wait for Luminae, and suites were full. We usually got there around 6:15 or 6:30, though, so I can't speak for anyone showing up right around prime time.
  10. I'll also have to speak for my wife. Neither she nor I were particularly keen on getting up before dawn to spend the day watching the locks and the transit, but we ended up spending the entire day outside doing so. At the end of the day, we agreed that it was the top highlight of the cruise (and we still feel that way).
  11. If nothing else, check and see if they have a local person on the ground at a hotel. You could drop off your luggage, perhaps. ETA: @erikzen What I was getting at is that Reykjavik is a very easy city to explore on your own. You should have no problem finding a restaurant, bar, museum, etc. where you can kill time. We spent 3 days there last year (post-cruise) and never left the city. The pier is pretty well removed from the city center, but it shouldn't be difficult to find transportation.
  12. I was going to say that restricted ordering from Blu must be new, but we had no problem doing so on Reflection in February. I believe I never did order from Blu, but I had no problem getting a menu when I asked.
  13. I can't think of one of the Luminae vegan entrees that we have not loved. We usually get that "in the middle" to split between us since the other mains tend to get little in the way of veggies. The radicchio and the cauliflower "steak" are two that stand out, but I know there are more I just can't think of at the moment.
  14. If you are in a higher suite, you may very well be able to slide in for a table at short notice. It doesn't always work out that way, though.
  15. Because if you wait until you've dined a night or two ni the MDR, then you've likely lost your shot at booking specialty. On the other hand, you can cancel the specialty if you find you are perfectly happy in the MDR.
  16. As mentioned, they've recently tightened up rebooking with NRD.
  17. I don't like even leaving the room without cashing out.
  18. This event really does appear to depend tremendously on who does it. Some have more "audience participation" and others not so much. Some have more samples, and others not so much. Some have a great time, and for us . . . not so much. Our experience was listening to talk for a good, long while (at least a half hour or so) before he even started making a cocktail. It did run about 90 minutes, but it was scheduled for only an hour, so some folks had to leave early. The "fun" part was mostly in that last 30 minutes. The cocktails he did make were his own creations. They were delicious and interesting, but you pretty much needed him to make them while he was at the World Class Bar if you wanted another one. Our mixologist was very personable, knowledgeable, and skilled. We loved him, and I was always happy to see him on board. However, the actual event was not all that great.
  19. Yes, there were some months where we got more than 10 CC points. The whole idea behind PUP was to keep folks "engaged" during covid. There's not much rationale behind that reason now that ships are sailing back at (around) normal levels and itineraries. At this point, it's probably more about getting folks to watch an ad, and they don't need an ad every month. I suppose they also could do the more targeted promotions such as "book a cruise during [certain month]" or something like that.
  20. I quite like the look of Nova. Regardless, I'm much more concerned with how a ship looks from the inside than the outside.
  21. We should be in board later this year and are looking forward to it!
  22. All good things must come to an end. It was a limited edition vodka, so I guess they ran out.
  23. A lot of folks love the 25th Anniversary Martini in the Martini Bar.
