Slumber pod in interior room for baby?
reallyitsmema replied to LT4221's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There are pictures of Symphony 12675 which will be like Harmony. There are some of Oasis too but those will not be the same furnishings as Harmony. I did find a video of 12271 on Harmony which will be the same category as your cabin. It has a chair, no sofa and lots of floor space for the packnplay. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/category-detail.php?c=2328 Edit: just scroll down and you will see the video for 12271. -
Slumber pod in interior room for baby?

Do you have a cabin number or did you book a guarantee? We will likely be able to find the layout if you have a cabin number or category. Harmony will have a nightlight in the bathroom. Edit: Here is a video of two different types of interiors and two completely different configurations, so cabin number will help recommendations as you can see there is no way a packnplay fits between the split beds. -
New Wine Allotment - 1 Bottle per Adult
reallyitsmema replied to twangster's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you are planning on two bottles of wine and 12 cans of soda, just put it in a rollaboard so you don't have to carry it. Much easier to roll it instead of having it in a duffle or a backpack. -
Finally got my first block. Not bad!

Yes, you get points for the land tour. If you are sailing in a suite, you get two points per night for the land portion too! -
Is Royal Caribbean building any small ships?
reallyitsmema replied to latebuyer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
They need a foreign port, they can't go from Seattle to Hawaii directly because of the PVSA. -
Natalia and Claudine were on Oasis May 7th. Not sure if they are still on the ship now,

Skorts on the zipline?
reallyitsmema replied to gluecksbaer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The zipline on the Oasis class ships is less than a ten second ride. While people are in the harness longer than that, especially if they do multiple rides, there isn't much time to chafe. -
We ran into you guys almost everyday! It was just my DH and I, he has a beard and mustache. If you are who I think you are, we spoke to you the first day in CK after a woman sitting in the corner was going on and on about loud kids. We all laughed because she was the loud one! Your Mom had glasses and was in the cabin beside us. Small world. 🙂

Anthem out of Cape Liberty is very casual. Lots of shorts once the ship gets farther south. Interesting they enforce the recommendations on your side of the pond. 🙂

It is a gorgeous day out, why don't you go take a walk around the pond or go to the zoo? It is a good way to open the mind.....

Sail the larger ships and you will see that your information is way off.

Your observations are only a "small sliver" of the evening guests too. Were you at both early and late seating tallying what people were wearing? Did you go to all levels of the MDR to get your information? What about MTD?

@SteelCityCruiser10 I wanted to add that when you walk out to Nugget Falls, we prefer to break off the main trail and go where this shows beach access. It can be a wetter trail as you have to cross a little brook but there are stepping stones to go across it. We saw some huge bear prints along the beach and scratching in the sand where bear dig for cones. The marked black trail on the map is flatter and easier but we like to go the beach way on the way out and the black trail on the way back. We found a park ranger down in the beach area too, pointing out where protected nests were, birds and other wildlife. Just a different option depending on what you have for footwear. We wear low, waterproof hiking boots but if it has been rainy and you don't have waterproof footwear, you might just want to stay on the black marked trail.

We were on Mariner back in 2006 and a woman in a bikini top and a sarong came into the MDR at lunch. Back then, they filled up large tables with multiple parties and didn't like sitting people at tables of two at lunch. This woman was arguing that she had a coverup and should be allowed to eat there. They let her.

You don't cruise that much if you have never seen a bathing suit in the MDR.

Why would a croc make you feel uncomfortable? It is under the table, it can't hurt you.

I would take the blue bus to Mendenhall and walk out to Nugget Falls. We did Steep Creek trail last time too and found a park ranger who was out on the boardwalk, showing people a porcupine that had climbed a tree. He gave a little talk on porcupine habits and had quills to show us. Was kind of neat to see. He was on that trail because there had been bear earlier in the morning and was going to close it if they were seen again. We can easily spend three hours at Mendenhall. You could also hire a cab to take you and come pick you up at a set time. I would come back to downtown, do some shopping and then go to Tracey's for crab.

I have absolutely no idea what shoes the person who sits beside me is wearing or whether or not they have hairy legs as I am not going to lift their tablecloth to check. I do not concern myself with others unless they put their hairy legs up on my table.

There are always judgmental people, just ignore them.

ADA handicap boarding procedure at Port Liberty
reallyitsmema replied to turtle1947's topic in Royal Caribbean International
To add one more detail, when dropping off luggage, make sure you tell the port worker that is directing cars, that you are have someone in a wheelchair and they will direct you to the first drop off zone directly in front of the terminal. You can drop luggage off there and also get your grandson out there and have someone continue on to the garage to park the car. The garage is handicap parking only during the summer when there are multiple ships sailing from Cape Liberty.
