  1. Read the deck plans, the deck 14 aft facing balconies say they are 50 sq ft. The C5 balconies that you say they are, have balconies that are 65 to 70 sq ft. Are you seeing different deck plans somewhere? I am not sure I would want one of those deck 14 cabins anyway with the flowrider two decks above on one side and public spaces above them I would expect them to be very noisy. You also can't say what they usually charge for these cabins as these are the first of these cabins.
  2. I always receive an invoice when I make a booking or a payment. I don't hang up the phone until I confirm that I have the email and the information is correct. Call and request one. There used to be an automated way to get one, not sure if that still exists anymore.
  3. We were also on Oasis October 9th and had no issues getting a paper copy of the compass. Not sure who you talked to as the hotel director was a man, not a woman. Maybe you spoke to head of housekeeping. We only received a few notices all week, nothing for art auction, just a few for the spa.
  4. Some of us actually go to medical for medical care, not compensation. When we got the flu, we were able to get tamiflu from the ship because we went within 48 hours of symptoms. Had we waited until we got off the ship, we would have missed that window. When I got Covid, I reported to medical because it was the right thing to do and I had a high fever. Yes, I did receive compensation to further quarantine before I could fly home, but that was the policy at the time. My most recent trip to medical that led to me isolating again was again because I needed medical treatment because I was having issues breathing. Because I had symptoms similar to Covid, I needed to have two consecutive days of negative Covid tests to be allowed to leave my cabin. I was not looking for compensation, I was looking for help, which I received.
  5. Royal Caribbean absolutely compensated us when we were quarantined on Anthem with the flu. They give you a prorated refund or FCC if you are quarantined on the ship for any reason. My Covid quarantine in May was a refund. My current letter for isolation on Oasis two weeks ago says it will be a FCC.
  6. The bakery area in the WJ in Anthem is at the very front area before you even get to the other food. It is in the area between the coffee bar at the left entrance and where you enter on the right. There’s all sorts of rolls, pastries and sometimes trays of fresh baked cookies. Haven’t sailed Anthem since Covid, so not sure of current setup.
  7. Where is it on Radiance? Do not see it on the deck plans.
  8. It is very easy to miss things with all the different conversations going on at once. Hopefully, they keep improving and test negative soon. I don't know if I would have been as good at pivoting and making the most of it as they are doing.
  9. She posted in her earlier posts that they both tested positive and could not board the ship. Hoping to board the TA.
  10. Your son was flagged by customs and that information was put in the ship's security system and he was flagged as he was exiting the ship. The ship was trying to clear passengers and they needed to present your son to customs in order for the ship to clear. I know you didn't like the procedure but that is how it is handled in that port. As far as it happening in the future, it is simple, if you exceed your exemption fill out the form. Check the app that I pointed out to you before and see if you can electronically submit that for in the future so you don't get stopped. If you do get stopped, go to customs and declare the purchase. No one is going to stand at the front of the line disembarking the ship and explain what is happening. Whatever agency that has flagged you will play their hand when it is time. You were all led away to customs because that is what the issue was and the problem was handled. Sorry it caused drama with your son's family but he is an adult and he should have been able to explain to his family what the issue was and have his receipts in order.
  11. Don't waste your time calling again. Just go see the loyalty ambassador on the ship. You can trade in whatever you receive if they happen to have what you want. There will likely be a letter in your cabin stating what they do have anyway.
  12. You aren't a newbie. You have filled out the form in the past. We make sure we have all the information we need prior to traveling so we do not have any issues. Being stopped by customs and not being prepared with our declaration form and duty owed is not something we want to happen as it could effect a family members job. We do our homework prior to traveling. The thing is, nothing has changed other than they no longer pass out the form to everyone.
  13. In the link I posted before, there is actually an app. I have not looked into it yet as we are not travelling soon, but I wonder if you actually could have filled out the form in the app and submitted it prior to departure. That would be ideal.
  14. Towels, bags, slippers and many wines not available on Oasis earlier this month. Received a notice in the cabin as to what was actually available.
  15. People have been complaining for years about all the flyers and notices the cruise line has left in their cabins and the cruise line has listened and reduced the paper. You can stick with your paper and abacus, I chose to move on with the times.
  16. You stated the compass is not published, that is not true. It is available in many forms. The cruise line can not handhold every passenger and ask everyone which form they need the compass and make sure they read it.
  17. The compass is absolutely published. It is available on your TV in your stateroom, it is available in the app, it is available in PDF form by scanning a QR code found on your TV in your stateroom or on a printed card on the vanity, and it is available in printed form from your cabin steward or from guest services.
  18. We have also bought excess alcohol but have declared it on our form. On one cruise, you had to go to a specified lounge to appear before a customs agent to show your overage. Customs agent sort of laughed at our extra two bottles and said have a nice day. Didn't charge us the couple extra dollars due.
  19. It is a matter of personal responsibility. We all look into what documents we need to cruise or to fly, or to travel to a different country during covid, we also need to know what we need to do to get back home too.
  20. Or the guests could educate themselves before travelling and make sure they know what they are allowed to spend duty free and what they need to be prepared to declare.
  21. I would see if you can find that information here: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/clearing-cbp/traveler-entry-form
  22. The form is available online or you can request one at guest services if you know you have paid more than your personal allowance.
