  1. Everything goes on your shipboard account. Gratuities and all other expenses will be taken off any credits you have.
  2. It's funny how people in each of the programs are overreacting that their favourite cruise line is giving away the crown jewels and will be totally destroyed by the status match program. It's especially bad over in the Silversea forum.
  3. It's also included if you charter a yacht and hire people to do your laundry. Both of which are completely irrelevant.
  4. It's all about the laundry... (I recall doing laundry on the Silver Moon was a real PITA.)
  5. It's never a problem until it's a problem. It takes three seconds to confirm with the stateroom attendant, so why make it harder on yourself when the inevitable error happens?

  9. How long before the cruise did you get this email? Was there sufficient time to get all your visas or did you start before receiving the email?

  11. Quality varies greatly by ship. We ate at Fine Cut on the Edge in 2021 and it was not a great experience either. Everything was overcooked (like mom use to make).
  12. Using FB has far too high a cost for me. Use Skype. It's free for 800 numbers.
  13. It's actually the other way around. Individuals are not fined - cruise lines are. The cruise line then goes ahead and bills the passenger. But if you depart for cause, it's covered by travel insurance.

  15. My experience is that Luminae is open for lunch when the ship overnights in a port as well.
  16. It was planned (as the Fauna of course), but Celebrity could not secure the required license so that ship became the Silver Origin.
  17. You don't think they'll try to spin this as listening to their passengers? That seems to be the CEO's job.
  18. I feel sorry for everyone who did not get to go on the Xpedition and is being pushed to the Flora. Xpedition was the best Galapagos experience offered by Celebrity. It's now pretty much guaranteed that our next Galapagos cruise will be on the different line now.
  19. There's a big space at the bottom for special requests. However, regardless of what you put there, clothes will be washed in boiling water and dried on the surface of the sun.
  20. More likely we'll see a webinar about how Celebrity will continue to charge more for fewer features because "our passengers requested it".
  21. It wastes space that could be better used for other purposes. On the Silver Moon last year, I can't recall ever seeing a single person in there, which is why I believe it's a waste.
  22. That's all fine if you want to stay at Southampton Central Station, but I don't think that's a destination for most people. If you actually want to get to a hotel or anywhere else reasonable, you will need some sort of ride. As an example, from the airport to the Harbour Hotel, it's 40-48 minutes by rail/bus/walk or 15 minutes by car. To the pier is similar.
