  1. Yes. Japan has learned a few things about how to handle a pandemic since then.
  2. When I saw the subject line, I was sure someone came up with a website to parody Wine Spectator. That actually would have made a lot of sense.
  3. I always thought the best thing about sailing from Port Liberty was the simple fact that you're leaving New Jersey behind you.
  4. No, it's just that Stockperks won't allow you to request for a 2025 or later cruise until November.
  5. It's in whatever the onboard currency is. That could be USD or GBP depending on whether you're booked with Princess or Princess UK. (Other lines use other currencies, but since this is the Princess forum, I only listed the Princess lines.)
  6. We just did the Diamond for 18 days around Japan in June/July and while it was amazing, it was also hellishly hot.
  7. I was finally able to get into my account. It took substantially longet than before, but it's working for me.
  8. The end of the world has not arrived. The status match program will have very little effect overall, other than giving a few Silversea cruises a bad case of sour grapes.
  9. There are only a small number of airlines I know of (all of them being Asian airlines) that will make a big deal about middle names. They care more about the name on your ticket matching your frequent flyer account.
  10. Disposable gloves are cheap insurance. Never buffet without one.
  11. Maybe that's true for Carnival or Motel 6, but anything advertising itself as 4* or higher should certainly be able to accommodate special needs.
  12. Has anyone ever tried the White Star Tavern? It's listed as a 5*, but I never trust those ratings.
  13. All that is marketing speak for "Don't look behind the curtain. Everything will be the same."
  14. WFM is the normal buffet. It's just a branding. "A buffet by any other name..."
  15. This is a fleet-wide issue. Another sign that Celebrity doesn't care about its passengers.
  16. I don't know. I think people will continue posting here, maybe double-posting to both threads.
  17. No cons for us. We were scheduled to do this cruise in May, but had to cancel because my wife had pneumonia.
  18. You're better off this way. To get the PUP emails, you have to opt in for all marketing emails, which can be as many as six per day. Monitoring this thread is a far better option. And since there is nothing to distinguish one activity from another, you can use the same screenshot over and over again.
  19. That's not a glowing recommendation. Overall, Celebrity has the worst specialty restaurants of all the lines we're cruised.
  20. All the evidence is against the TA. Experience does not equal competence.
  21. You can choose to pay the extra or not. They're not forcing you to do anything. It's no different than airlines charging a ridiculous premium for a refundable fare.
