  1. Yes all insurance companies are different. I'm just sharing my experience so people are aware to shop around because some Australian insurance companies over charge for a low risk.
  2. Because you are extremely unlikely to get sick on the cruise. I know two people dying of cancer who were given permission to travel overseas by their Specialists (one to UK and one to NZ, which both provide medical to Australians in an emergency). Both had successful last trips full of happy memories. Travel insurance, for a short period in Australia, is often overcharged for the risk. Travel insurance for my daughter who lived in London was much cheaper than mine in Australia, for the same trip!!
  3. Someone should do one of those price comparison list showing what various countries pay for the same item/service. I think it may have been a Big Mac originally, $Aus277 equals $US180 - a lot of money in any currency. 4 spots left pre cruise savings.
  4. That was a nice gesture for children and big adults!
  5. Doesn't sound like she got much sympathy from you. Anyone on Majestic Princess? Please check out those posts for an independent opinion.
  6. Kidney cancer in 2008, melanomas in 2009 an 2018 you are a low risk for life insurance on a short domestic cruise.
  7. Passengers on 4/12 Hearts - Western Canada Mitte - Cleveland, Brisbane MMDown Under - Gold Coast Only 3 groups ? 3.1/2 weeks to go!
  8. Carelessness? Are the posts painted in a colour which draws attention to them?
  9. We are having unusual weather for SEQld., with cold mornings, but normal beautiful warm sunny days. I just had to put a woollen singlet on at 6am in November!!
  10. Thank you for your impressive list. I was just thinking how many more are due to come.
  11. My success was on line. I had no success via the phone,
  12. Thanks for the beautiful photos of Westerdam's arrival with bright blue skies. What time was the arrival?
  13. It is amazing how many passengers test positive for Covid following disembarkation. This was the reason the cruiselines originally shortened the length of cruises. Sorry you caught Covid despite being careful and vigilant. It is a shame you gave up the theatre, Universe lounge, sitting in bars and doing onland tours, definitely not like cruising preCovid, yet you still caught Covid. I wish you both a speedy recovery now that you are on antivirals under the care of your GP.
  14. Good move. Much nicer place to spend the pandemic, Lots of people moved to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts from southern states.
  15. Congratulations! Sunday was Luminosa's first cruise. It is to the GBR like our cruise, so I'm looking forward to hearing how current passengers are enjoying the cruise.
  16. Looking for passengers cruising to GBR from Brisbane on 4th December, 2022. There must be more than two bookings! Early December is a lovely time of year.
  17. When is your check in time, 9.20? Flight is too early. 2 day tour of Uluru would be better.
  18. The Government should be making Brisbane the small ship capital of Australia. Brisbane has the advantage of being closer to the Far North, PNG and South Pacific islands further afield. I would jump on any of those cruises, as would a lot of adventure cruisers. This is a short sighted decision by the Government. Reminds me of the ripping up the Gold Coast railway and now spending a fortune building a light rail at the GC. Support small ship cruising and they will come! Australia is an island! There is room for all styles of cruising, as long as the facilities are suitable.
  19. Your comments were fine until you said "don't be stingy"!
