What time do cabins REALLY open on wonder ?
Teeara replied to firts's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Ours opened at 1 for the Wonder WB TA in late October. -
Thanks for sharing! How many people did you have in this cabin? We stayed in an Owners Suite on Wonder of the Seas and it was divine. We had 2 adults in this cabin, but you could put more in the living room on the sofa bed. Ship - Wonder of the Seas Deck - 18 Stateroom # - 1832 Stateroom Category – Owners Suite Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes. We never heard our neighbors to the left. The only time we heard the folks on the right was if both of us were out on our deck. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Unobstructed. We did get a lot of the ship exhaust pouring over the side of the ship at times, so we did have a soot issue (first time I've ever had that issue) Balcony Size? Balcony is massive with 1 lounger, 1 chair with ottoman and a table with chairs Was wind a problem? - Not unless it was coming directly at us If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Yes Any specific problems with this cabin? - The shower leaked water all over the floor. We always had to put towels down in front of the shower door to mop up the excess. Any other comments? - We LOVED our cabin. It was enormous and we spent a lot of time in it during the westbound transatlantic since we were concerned about Covid. We never felt confined and thought it was a great layout. The beds were extremely comfortable as was the sofa. Tons of storage (there are 4 full length closets in this cabin including a load of shelving throughout the cabin). I show our cabin during our Cruise Critic Cabin Crawl in this video from 9:01-11:53.

I'm ready to book the Fall 2025 Allure TA the moment it opens for booking (which I know won't be for some time). Might just recycle the canceled Fall 2020 Allure TA spreadsheet ;o))) -
Just tell your cabin steward when you get access to your cabin. This happens to us all the time. We get there and it's one queen size bed. The steward comes around to check on you when you access your cabin and you simply ask them to split the bed into two beds. Easy peasy and I've never had any trouble getting it done. Even though we always ask when we make our reservation to have 2 beds (and it shows as 2 beds on our reservation paperwork) they still always make it as 1 bed. So calling RCI is pretty much pointless in our book.

Wonder of the Seas Honest Review and Tips

Johnny Rockets was fantastic for breakfast. The food was piping hot and the service was great. You can definitely check the app to see the offerings. It's also free for breakfast and no reservations are necessary. Wish we had dined there more often since the WJ and MDR often had cool/cold food. -
Wonder of the Seas Honest Review and Tips

I just posted a video on my YouTube channel where I tried to show as many of the slot machines on Wonder since they looked so different from others I've seen on other ships (we sailed on the WB TA). If you're interested in the slots on Wonder, here's the link: -
Let us know how your boarding goes today (which is March 2nd)! We board on March 27th.
-
As soon as you board, head to one of the specialty dining venues and CONFIRM your reservations. I sent in my reservation requests to the suite lounge guys prior to the Wonder TA and they said they had sent them on to the dining staff to make the reservations but they never were. I didn't find out until 5pm the night of embarkation day. All Mason Jar dinner slots were already taken so I had to make do with a brunch which was less than ideal since we really wanted the dinner. So for us going forward I will ALWAYS double check as soon as we board the ship for any suite reservations. My recommendation is that you head to Deck 4 to Izumi. There is less of a line there and they can confirm all reservations for you. Wish I had heeded my own advice on that one.

Here is how to print luggage tags for Princess.....

Thanks for the Edge suggestion. That worked perfectly to print our luggage tags. Couldn't figure out why they were printing stumpy before ;o) -
Do things start disappearing near end of cruise?

Which ones? Gotta know what to look for! -

Note to self: Start hoarding strawberry yogurt on embarkation day and then resell for a premium at the end of the cruise... -
Coco Cay capacity to be increased to 13,000 per day
Teeara replied to CruisingWalter's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Glad I was there during the pandemic and it looked like this: The only 4 other people on the beach were at the front near the water. We were in the back row in the shade. Next time we'll try out those beach beds. Of course there will be a lot more people then ;o) -

Nice video. I saw some parts of InTENse in your video that I haven't seen on other YT videos. -
RCCL junior suites vs. Princess mini-suites
Teeara replied to Kellie in Texas's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We're getting ready to go on the Royal Princess RT from SF to Hawaii and we have a Club Class mini suite. I'm extremely disappointed with the balcony on the ship in comparison to the balcony we had on our Independence of the Seas cruise in 2021. Most of the Princess ships have smaller balconies than RCI does which is why we mainly cruise on Royal Caribbean rather than Princess. The tubs I think are about the same and having that extra living area space is lovely. Have a great cruise! -

The $36 laundry bag. Is it worth it?
Teeara replied to dltaeg's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The laundry bag is made of thin paper and it can rip very easily. You aren't going to get more than underwear and maybe some socks in there for a family of 5. We had 2 laundry services during our 14 night Wonder TA last year. So here are some pictures of what they gave us. The Cruise Compass is obviously 8.5" x 11", so that should give you an idea of the size of the laundry bag. -
Royal Meet & Mingle, what's the deal?
Teeara replied to rrraydon's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We had a good showing on our Wonder TA. I coordinated with RCI and got us the Music Hall with no bartender (BYOB). I didn't want to post a gathering place prior to sailing without having a place reserved for us. You don't know if others have the same idea. Better to have a place reserved by RCI for your M&M. -

Recent Wonder Cruisers - Is Tazo Tea Available?
Teeara replied to LEMJMcC's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We had some Tazo in our Owner's Suite, but I don't remember what they had throughout the ship. Bring your own to make sure you have what you want. It's not like it weighs a ton ;o) -
