  1. Princess usually does not have these kinds of activities on short cruises. Any arts and crafts are a small part of an Ass't Cruise Director's job, which includes very long hours. On long cruises they may have cultural enrichment staff that are paid or not paid. Princess cut way back on placing staff on board as passengers for little or no charge in exchange for some sort of service. If you wish to get a cruise ship job I would search all cruise lines on job sites. Keep in mind that cruise ship jobs are long hours. Cruise Director staffs have multiple functions.
  2. No actual limit on alcoholic drinks. You pay full price for them after 15.
  3. Ruby Princess is very similar in layout to the Caribbean. It's a little larger with some larger venues. Last dry dock was Sept/Oct 2023 for just under a month. It's in good shape. You can obtain information regarding the ports in the port section of cruise critic. Too me it's all about being on board first, ports second.
  4. The plus fare includes alcoholic beverages menu priced $15 or less. The premier fare it's $20 or less. For any drink over those amounts you pay the difference plus 18%.
  5. You would have to compare each cabin on each deck to see what cabin categories changed. It's a tedious job. Select the cabin you want to book. Compare it to the previous deck plan. If there is a change you will see it. Most likely there are just a few changes in the entire 1,800+ cabins.
  6. There are also two chairs on the balcony.
  7. Look at the deck plans. You will notice this space is on every deck. It's probably used as a cabin steward work/storage area, but it is also where the operational exhaust pipes are routed through the ship. No noise.
  8. Go by the schedule not the picture. I checked the port schedules for Falmouth, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The Caribbean Princess is scheduled for the 27th, 28th and 29the at the three ports.
  9. When boarding lunch will be offered in one of the DRs from noon to 1:30. It is usually in the deck 6 mid ship DR which on the Regal is the Concerto DR. You have many choices for lunch. The DR is just one of them. There is the buffet, pizza or the grill on the Lido deck, the International Cafe on deck 5. It's really your choice. Do what you like.
  10. Basically at all tender ports wheelchair access is limited and may not exist. Have been on many cruises with tender ports. The person has to be able to walk some to make the difficult step, with assistance, from the moving ship's pontoon onto the moving and rocking tender. They then must be able to navigate on the moving tender into their seat. A person that can not walk at all really can not be tendered ashore. A person with limited walking ability can be tendered ashore, but the risk of injury is increased. I would plan on staying on board in Cabo. It's like an off season resort on port days.
  11. It's been Brooklyn for 15 to 20 years. I can't understand why Princess places Manhattan on their schedules. Princess certainly knows the pier where their ship will dock.
  12. Yes, adults only. Charge is $20/half day, $40/full day, $30/day if you book the entire cruise. You have to be one of the first to board and go directly there to select your lounge chair and day(s). To add passengers that are sailing b2bs are able to book on their final day of the cruise for the next voyage.
  13. I'm guessing you are on the June 1st Sky out of Southampton. This is what we did in some of the ports. We toured most of them on our own by walking around. Copenhagen: The ship docks north of the Kastellet. You can easily take a cab to the center city by Tivoli. From there Copenhagen is a very walkable town. I also remember a hop on hop off bus. You can find information on line about the bus on line. Believe one stop is at the pier. Helsinki: There was a local bus at the pier which dropped you off in downtown Helsinki. I think they accepted US$ or Euros. There was a person on the pier selling RT tickets Tallin: We pre-booked a nice walking tour with SPB Tours. There were other companies that offered Tallin tours. Tallin is also a very walkable city. Kristiansand: This city is at the southern tip of Norway. We disembarked and just walked around. Stockholm: We took a ship's tour of the palace and a boat ride. Does your ship dock in Nynashamn? Ours did. This is fairly far from Stockholm. Berlin: Your ship docks at Warnemunde. This is 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Berlin. When we were there Princess arranged for a train to take tours to and from Berlin. The train was right on the pier. If you really wish to see Berlin this is the way to go. Hard to believe all Berlin tours are sold out, but I guess they could be. We did not wish to travel 6 hours there and back. We booked a walking tour of Warnemunde and Rostock again with SPB Tours. It was very nice. Note: SPB Tours was and maybe still is located in St. Petersburg Russia. Their main focus was two day tours of St. Petersburg. They also offered tours in other Baltic cities through local tour companies. I see they still have a web site. I would suggest you review their web site and contact them. I don't know their current operations since Russia invaded Ukraine.
  14. In order to walk a 360 degree lap one must climb up and then return down a staircase, which if I remember correctly is 22 steps, to go around the bow. The bow section is closed in the evening and sometimes during the day in rough seas. Many people walk in "U"s avoiding the stairs. The Promenade is covered. View of the sky is outward, not straight up. You can read and watch the horizon. I like to move my chair parallel to the bulkhead so that my legs do not jut out into the space where people are walking and I don't have to keep pulling them in. Usually one side is shade and one side sun depending on the direction of the ship. No chairs on the bow and stern sections. The stern section is narrow.
  15. It's Brooklyn. I can't understand why Princess continues to use Manhattan or Brooklyn in their itineraries. As far as I know Princess has been embarking/disembarking at Red Hook Brooklyn for at least 15 to 20 years. Princess change your web site. Princess does use Manhattan when it is a mid cruise port stop such as a world cruise.
  16. On the RT NYC (Brooklyn). The later the cooler. In the northern part of the itinerary trees start turning color starting late September through maybe mid October. Boston, Bar Harbor maybe early October. I would suggest you look at the one way 10 day voyages from Quebec City. That itinerary is very nice. Princess has a few options.
  17. On that site the camera picture means there is a picture of the room if you click on it. On balcony cabins the 3rd and 4th berth lowers from the ceiling and is stored in the ceiling. On most inside and ocean view cabins the 3rd and 4th berths fold down from the walls. The beds are somewhat in the way when not in use. I would look at the deck plans on Princess.com. connecting cabins and those with extra berths can be found by checking the proper boxes
  18. More likely the primary reason is that they have to arrange an alternative itinerary. I would not count on sailing through the Suez. If it happens, it happens.
  19. I certainly would not classify your issue as desperate. If it's not actually on the menu a bartender should be able to mix one up providing they have the ingredients. They look like very common ingredients. Maybe Princess calls it something else. Very close to a mango tango.
  20. I was on a Princess ship with two overnights in B.A. It was the end of one cruise and the beginning of another. We were already on board when the ship arrived. We used it as our hotel to tour for two days. The reason for the overnight is to allow time for passengers to arrive from many locations around the world and to allow passengers time to visit B.A. Fairly certain passengers were able to initially board on either day as well as during the overnight hours. The gang plank was always open. I don't see any reason why not. Strongly suggest that you book flights that arrive at least one day early and overnight at a B.A. hotel.
  21. Believe the refer a friend OBC shows once the friend(s) is actually on board. I have no idea regarding the AMEX. Maybe you should call AMEX regarding this OBC to see what their process is.
  22. Are kettles available on cruises the sail from ports outside of the UK?
  23. If you have one of the plus fares coffee at the International Cafe is included. Without a package I.C. brewed coffee is somewhere around $3. It is supposed to be LaVazza coffee. I don't have the current price list. Royal Class ships have drip coffee prepared from grinds in the buffet area. It is decent. This coffee is also served in the DRs and for room service. Many of the Grand Class ships have also converted their buffet coffee to the drip coffee. What ship? Some of the older ships have converted as mentioned.
  24. They are both classic Caribbean islands. Each one is a little different. Iy all depends on what you enjoy.
