  1. Did you try the travel summary? I think it is shown there.
  2. Not exactly, but it is more expensive with the Princess hotel. If you stay a second night the rate per person for that night is lower. The longer you stay the closer the amount becomes to self booking.
  3. Not a good plan. Would turn me off. Too much pre-cruise structure for a vacation. Rather go with the flow. Furthermore, it does not solve the problem, more demand for seats than seats available. It just pushes the problem backwards in pre-cruise time and those familiar with the system go on line first to reserve.
  4. Some observations when the ships were full. We arrived 30 to 45 minutes early depending on the show. The 8pm hour show was the most crowded. Early or later shows less crowded. That is why we always planned our evening dining around the evening shows or other activities we wished to attend and not the reverse. We did lots of b2b2bs. We spread production shows out over the time on the ship. We normally attended guest entertainers such as comedy and singers. Most of those shows are not as crowded. Princess really should have additional performances of productions shows. Not sure how the theater can be designed to seat more and still have views as well as safety. Some things I don't think should be done, pre-cruise reservations and tickets. Reserved seats.
  5. If you order a ca Buffet coffee is prepared from ground coffee. It is fairly decent. You probably can not fill or have your own carafe filled to carry back to your cabin, and why even bother when you can get a carafe delivered at no charge. Just order from room service for morning delivery, you set the time, and a carafe will be delivered to your cabin. No need to bring your own container. Ask for half & half or cream when you order. If you wish a better brewed coffee order from the International Cafe. Order how you like it, cream & sugar or whatever. If you require a lot order two large cups. You should be able to order using the Ocean Now app on your device or on the TV. Brewed coffee at the International Cafe uses better beans than the ground coffee in the buffet or the DR. Again, since you have the plus package there will be no charge for the I.C. brewed coffee.
  6. If your cruise is one way Quebec to NYC then you clear immigration at the first U.S. port of call for example Bar Harbor. Then when the ship docks at NYC (Red Hook, Brooklyn) passengers basically just walk off. If you are on a RT NYC (Red Hook, Brooklyn), then passengers have to clear immigration. The early walk off option should be available.
  7. Don't understand your issue with the life boats. They are 3 decks below your deck and unless you stand at the railing and look straight down they are not in your sight line. I would be more concerned that C255 is a connecting cabin and connects with C253. The connecting door is in the entry hall across from the closet/bathroom area. We always avoid connecting cabins.
  8. Enrichment talks are generally on longer cruises with lots of sea days or cruises like Alaska where there are lots of natural sites. Caribbean cruises really do not have enrichment talks. Caribbean cruises are different animals than an Alaska cruise. They might have some port talks that focus on shopping, and maybe one that focuses on sites in the islands.
  9. We used a private transfer which we reserved on line. We were very satisfied with with the privacy, the cost and the service. All was very smooth.
  10. Try outside of Princess Live next to the windows. Also try Good Spirts Bar area. Both areas have limited seating.
  11. A few thoughts above. After many years we have determined that there just isn't one trip of a lifetime. We think of each trip as another experience. Have fun.
  12. You can ask at a bar for an unopened bottle and carry to your cabin to save for later.
  13. The deck plans are your friend. They show locations, balcony sizes, club class and so on.
  14. Sounds like the dynamic pricing model. Keep watching periodically.
  15. Only if a priest happens to be on board as a passenger. This has been the Princess policy for at least a decade. From the FAQ's We respect our guests' religious beliefs and invite them to practice on their own or with their fellow guests. Guests who wish to lead religious services may volunteer by contacting Guest Services or a member of the Cruise Staff. In some cases, our shipboard staff will lead services. However, Princess does not place clergy on board our vessels. Clergy traveling as Guests onboard our vessels are welcome to conduct services while sailing. They should leave their name, cabin number, and services offered at Guest Services and they will be contacted by a member of the Cruise Director's Staff. Approval of services will be made based on schedule suitability, appropriate onboard supplies, etc. Please bring your Letter of Celebret or Letter of Good Standing with you to provide to the onboard staff. Please note that during Passover, there will be a Seder service (including Passover meal) held onboard. For Hanukkah, services are available and will be guest-led with wine, Challah bread, prayers and an electric Menorah (no candles or live flames) provided by Princess. Supplies are present and available for anyone who wants to lead the service at 5:30 PM on Friday evenings. If you would like to bring on your own Menorah, you may. However, since candles are prohibited onboard all Princess ships, it must be electric (no live flame).
  16. Outdoors, Horizon Terrace, above the Lido Pool, Retreat Pool Indoors, Crooner's
  17. Mid ship. So either go up one deck, down one deck or you are directly adjacent to Alfredo's on deck 6. No route. Also I would not expect Alfredo's to be super crowded.
  18. Take a look at Google Maps. The tender lets you off at the cruise tender pier. It is a short walk off the pier to the marina walk. The walk circles around the marina. There is a Bar/restaurant right at the end of the tender pier. There are also many different restaurants along the marina walk. I don't remember seeing any transport for those with mobility issues and there are no autos on the marina walk. There is really very little downtown. You might want to look into a tour, or a day at one of the hotels.
  19. 40+ Princess cruises. Always had great service in the past, but never to the extent you describe. Maybe because you are in a full suite?
  20. If you drop your car at the airport you will have to take a taxi/uber to the ship. Way too far to walk. Cost is around $20/25 for two and it is around 15 minutes. I would not rely on a Princess shuttle. More expensive and you have to wait for a bus to fill.
  21. Sorry no. You can only use OBC pre-cruise to purchase Princess excursions. Wait until you are on board when the OBC shows as a credit on your accounts. Daily gratuities(crew incentive) use up OBC quickly providing that you do not have a fare that already includes them.
  22. At U.S. ports the law requires that a passenger vessel reach "zero count" before any new passengers are permitted to board. This isn't a Princess thing all lines have to follow the same "zero count" rules. Attach your color tag to your luggage and place your luggage in the hall the evening before. Porters pick it up and place it in the Customs area. You are asked to leave your cabin by 8:00am on disembarkation day. A DR is open for breakfast as well as the buffet and International Cafe. You then proceed to your designated waiting area until your color/number tag is called at which time you disembark. Normally the latest disembarkation time is around 9:30 to 10:00am. Every passenger must be off the ship, no exceptions. As for Princess they want every passenger to disembark as early as possible so the "zero count" is reached as quickly as possible and new passengers are permitted to board. You are not permitted to stay on board. If you have a late afternoon flight you might want to consider a disembarkation tour.
  23. Outdoors: Outrigger, deck 16 aft Indoors: Crooners: deck 7 mid ship
