  1. The Enclave inside the spa has a heated water feature. There is a cost to use it and I believe the number of passes are limited. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/products/joyful-rejuvenation/the-enclave-at-lotus-spa.html The are hot tubs outside.
  2. There are early booking discounts for most fares called Captain's Circle Launch Savings. These are available to the 1st two guests in a cabin, gold status or higher, after their first Princess cruise. Nothing special for elites.
  3. Free laundry is an Elite benefit. There is no free laundry on any Princess ship. All Princess ships have a self service laundry on almost every passenger deck. Current cost is $3 wash, $3 dry plus detergent and dryer sheets if you did not bring your own.
  4. Fares are no different than others.
  5. We send every few days up until about three days before we disembark. We fill out the slip and place it in the bag(s), and place the bag(s) on the bed for the cabin steward. No limit. You may wish to take a photo of the slip so you have a record of what you sent. Laundry is returned all pressed, and folded. It is the best benefit, especially for longer voyages and b2b's.
  6. Yes, Princess will try to get you to the next foreign port of call. Don't forget airline seats to that port may also be very limited with those flights also subject to cancellations or delays. EZ Air is an air consolidator. They are at the mercy of airline schedules, delays and cancellations which at this time is the worst I have ever seen it. Who knows at Christmas? Their phone lines are also very busy. I would not count on the next port promise for an enjoyable cruise. I would arrive at the port at least one day early or sooner. If close enough I would drive.
  7. You will meet and enjoy the cabin steward service. Ask is you want something like extra towels, soap, etc. If you wish turn down service request it. For the most part cabin stewards do their magic when you are not around.
  8. Play the tables. No change to worry about and way better odds when you play craps. But yes, I would expect to receive the full amount including the change.
  9. Look for San Juan on Google Maps. You will see the San Juan Cruise Port Terminal. That is the one we always docked at as a port of call.
  10. So the answer to your initial question appears to be yes for the first two passengers. This is the way I have understood it also.
  11. It is a package. You upgrade the entire package with all the package includes, or you do not upgrade. Other option, keep the plus package and pay the difference + 18% for each beverage over $12 purchased.
  12. Warning about time. Don't trust your phone, it can pick up the incorrect time. Use a watch or set your phone to manual.
  13. The actual anchor machinery is located on deck 5 or 4 in the bow. The anchor noise travels.
  14. Can anyone use the Retreat pool? Or only Sanctuary guests? Open to all adult passengers.
  15. Mostly accurate. Some hours, for example the International Cafe, may be shortened due to low passenger loads and crew shortages. Some venues may not be operating.
  16. Carry up to 12 cans per person on board for no charge. Land purchase cost maybe around $1/can or less. You can get exactly the soda you enjoy. Princess has a limited selection of Coke products.
  17. Nice ship, nice itinerary. No Enclave, but there is a Thermal Spa. 5 pools, but in September not too much lying around the pools. Wrap around promenade, not available on the Royal. Great Lounges, Explorer's Lounge, Wheelhouse Bar, Club Fusion, Crooner's Lounge, Skywalker's Nightclub. Larger balconies than on the Royal. Standard balconies on the Royal are 9ftx4ft. Standard balconies on the Caribbean are 9ftx5ft for balcony cat cabins on decks 11 through 15. Balconies on deck 10 are 9ftx9ft half covered. Mini suite balconies are 9ft x6ft not covered except for the 12 aft mini suite cabins on deck 8 which have covered balconies. Full suites have various size balconies. There is no Alfredo's on the Caribbean. Lots of upper deck viewing areas.
  18. -Purchase a post cruise transfer on board and it will automatically be charged to your on board account(s) and net against any credit balance (OBC). -I have never seen pre-cruise transfers offered as excursions, thus you can not use OBC for this purpose. Pre-cruise transfers are purchased as part of the booking. -In my experience OBC for excursions just shows as a credit in you on board account(s). Any on board expense will then net against that credit.
  19. Usually smoking areas are not moved around. They are fairly standard across the classes of ships. They should be listed in the Patter on the first day. Outdoors: Deck 16 a section by the Tradewinds Bar. Tables and chairs are there. Deck 7, starboard aft a small standing section just before the the promenade narrows to go around the stern. Standing. Indoors: Churchill Lounge, deck 6 forward. This is the only place where cigar and pipe smoking is allowed. Casino, about half the slots while playing. The remainder of the casino is smoke free including table games and the casino bar. Skywalker's Nightclub may have a smoking section in the evening, possibly also during the daytime. There may also be some crew smoking areas related to covid plus maybe some cabins that are used for quarantine purposes.
  20. Searched the Island Princess itineraries. There will be no PVSA violations for any of the offered itineraries. All itineraries make port calls at distant foreign ports. There are a few Island Princess itineraries that are RT US ports which also comply with PVSA regulations. In the OP's question the PVSA regulation considers the voyage as embarking in L.A. and disembarking in Ft. Lauderdale with a port of call in at least one distant foreign port. In fact, except for the first two stops in Hawaii, all other stops are distant foreign ports of call. Booking as one or multiple trips makes no difference. It is where the passenger initially embarks and finally disembarks.
  21. Believe the OP is referring to mid ship stair access to all decks. Yes from deck 4 to Lido deck
  22. Discover a ship within a ship through our exclusive MSC Yacht Club, a place where you can savour exclusivity and privacy in a world of choice. A place where you can indulge in the luxury of a private club while enjoying access to a myriad of recreation and entertainment possibilities that the ship has to offer. Lavishly appointed suites, an exclusive 24-hour butler service and a dedicated concierge are just the beginning of these exclusive cruise experiences. Welcome to the MSC Yacht Club, a cruise experience like no other. There is no special exclusive or private areas for full suite passengers on any Princess ship. No butler service except if staying in a Sky Suite on the Sky, Enchanted or Discovery Princess where there is a butler like service. Princess does have full suites. There is a concierge lounge on all six Royal Class ships but not on other class ships. Recreation and entertainment on Princess is open to all passengers. There are no exclusive activities for full suite passengers. Full suite passengers can have an exclusive breakfast in one of the specialty dining restaurants Restaurant varies by ship. Full suite passengers can also dine in Club Class dining for lunch (sea days) and dinner. Club Class dining is walk in. Same menu as the regular MDR's but with improved service and one additional dinner menu item. Full suite passengers can also order room service from the full DR menu. Note the meal comes all at one time.
  23. Princess is not operating normally and is not on top of things.
