  1. Searched the Island Princess itineraries. There will be no PVSA violations for any of the offered itineraries. All itineraries make port calls at distant foreign ports. There are a few Island Princess itineraries that are RT US ports which also comply with PVSA regulations. In the OP's question the PVSA regulation considers the voyage as embarking in L.A. and disembarking in Ft. Lauderdale with a port of call in at least one distant foreign port. In fact, except for the first two stops in Hawaii, all other stops are distant foreign ports of call. Booking as one or multiple trips makes no difference. It is where the passenger initially embarks and finally disembarks.
  2. Believe the OP is referring to mid ship stair access to all decks. Yes from deck 4 to Lido deck
  3. Discover a ship within a ship through our exclusive MSC Yacht Club, a place where you can savour exclusivity and privacy in a world of choice. A place where you can indulge in the luxury of a private club while enjoying access to a myriad of recreation and entertainment possibilities that the ship has to offer. Lavishly appointed suites, an exclusive 24-hour butler service and a dedicated concierge are just the beginning of these exclusive cruise experiences. Welcome to the MSC Yacht Club, a cruise experience like no other. There is no special exclusive or private areas for full suite passengers on any Princess ship. No butler service except if staying in a Sky Suite on the Sky, Enchanted or Discovery Princess where there is a butler like service. Princess does have full suites. There is a concierge lounge on all six Royal Class ships but not on other class ships. Recreation and entertainment on Princess is open to all passengers. There are no exclusive activities for full suite passengers. Full suite passengers can have an exclusive breakfast in one of the specialty dining restaurants Restaurant varies by ship. Full suite passengers can also dine in Club Class dining for lunch (sea days) and dinner. Club Class dining is walk in. Same menu as the regular MDR's but with improved service and one additional dinner menu item. Full suite passengers can also order room service from the full DR menu. Note the meal comes all at one time.
  4. Princess is not operating normally and is not on top of things.
  5. Casino - yes charge to your on board account and the charge will net against any credit (OBC) balance. Tips - Spa service charges are automatically added to the bill. If you have beverage service charges, 18%, they are also automatically added to your on board account. If you add any additional tip to an on board charge billing that tip will wind up in the fleet tip pool. If you wish a tip to go directly to an crew member then cash is the way to go. You can reserve excursions in advance and use any OBC that shows in the Princess account. If it doesn't show, like some T.A. provided OBC, then it can't be used. You can not pre-book any other service or dining using OBC.
  6. The old plus fare included the Premier drink package which individually sold for $70 and change per day. That old package has now changed its name to the plus beverage package and the premier package is the new one that includes drinks up to $18.
  7. Been many times, but not since covid. Experience was Honolulu, yes. Other ports I don't recall lots of taxis. Where do you wish to go at each port. There are some options.
  8. If you booked an M1 category mini you are in Club Class with special dining. Oher category minis do have regular dining.
  9. If your are looking for the fall 23 spring 24 season these sailings should be released soon. If you are looking for the fall 24, spring 25 season those should be released about a year from now.
  10. March 2024 is the end of the 2023/2024 winter season. Historically these itineraries have been available around 18 months prior to the start of the season which would right around now. But since the re-start some itineraries have been delayed. Watch for them this summer.
  11. Caribbean Princess Chef's Table - information in above posting. No Winemaker's Dinner on the Caribbean Princess. You already made reservations at Sabatini's and The Crown Grill. Menus are the same every evening in these venues. There are two other specialty dining areas on the Caribbean Princess, Planks and Steamers which operate in the evening in the aft sections of the buffet area. It has been reported that these are not currently operating. If they do open you can call the dine line to make a reservation or in the past just walk in. If sitting at Planks you can order the Steamers menu items and visa versa. It has been our experience that MDR selections are mostly good and it isn't necessary to dine at a specialty restaurant every evening to get a decent meal.
  12. There is no more traditional dining, early & late seating. You have to go into Dine My Way and select your time, table size and DR preference.
  13. We had an issue with our email address. We both have the same email address which I believe is common for a married couple. Princess' system would not accept. So one of us had to create a special never used email address just to get into our Princess account. Crazy. Must be thousands of emails from Princess in that email account because we never access it.
  14. They were there when we were there in 2019 in the center isle.
  15. Are you trying to avoid or find them? This ship was previously positioned in the Asian market, where smoking was allowed in the Asian market and could be different than the US market. Some of the smoking areas should be the same as other Grand Class ships. Promenade starboard side all the way aft outside Club Fusion. Deck 15 by Tradwinds Bar. A section of Skywalker's Nightclub in the evening. Churchill Lounge for cigars & pipes. Some casino slots while playing. Maybe the Wake View Bar if open. There could be others for crew once the ship begins sailing in September.
  16. If this is a real image of what the new sphere class will be then I don't see anything positive for more passenger enjoyment. The image is just like the Royal class ships that lack many of the things, like a promenade, larger balconies and so on with additional passenger load.
  17. Fjords were warm and pleasant when we were there. Agree crossing to Iceland and return could be gloomy and choppy. More time to spend with Martinis in hand. Martini Bar would be Crooners Lounge on deck 6 mid ship. Good Sprits at Se, deck 5, should also have some special drinks in the afternoon which may include martinis.
  18. You can not get any better than the Sky Suite on a Princess ship. For viewing you will have great views. Hot tubs will be just outside the cabin in a public area, but probably mostly used by those in the sanctuary. Concierge Lounge, if you use it, will be on deck 14 mid aft, a fairly long way from your cabin. You should hear sound from the Movies Under the Stars which is directly across from your cabin. MUTS plays from mid morning until the evening movies end maybe around 10/11pm. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/products/staterooms/sky-suite-yp.html
  19. From the passage contract For Guests of legal drinking age, an allowance of one (1) bottle of wine or champagne (750 mL in volume or less) per Guest per Voyage may be presented to security during embarkation. A US $20.00 corkage fee will be charged should Guests wish to consumer their wine or champagne in the ship’s public areas.
  20. They are small, 9ft x 4ft deep. You have to sit on angles.
  21. In that case the balcony from deck 15 cabins will be the same size as your balcony. The larger overhang from the Lido deck, two decks above will extend a little further out maybe an extra 4 or so feet. The answer will be the same. Sun or shade will be dependent mainly on the direction of the ship and not on the overhang. Examples, if your cabin is on the port side and the ship is heading north then your cabin will have afternoon sun, morning shade. If the ship is heading east you will be in the shade all day as the sun will be to the south of the ship with the reverse true if heading west.
  22. Assuming you are in one of the mini suites R414 to R423 with the extended balconies. Two decks above is the seawalk which curves out over the water. Sun or shade will depend mainly on the direction of the ship and not on the overhang.
  23. The true 14 day circle the Caribbean would be my choice, no turn around day and being able to visit the southern Caribbean islands that a 7 day cruise can not reach. Nothing really bad about either ship with pluses and minuses for both. Really enjoy the full promenade, Terrace Pool, and additional pools on the Caribbean Princess. Also enjoy Club Fusion and Explorer's Lounge on the Caribbean. The Regal does not have these venues. Pool space and shade are limited on the Regal. Also, the Circle the Caribbean should have fewer youth on board. The longer the cruise the fewer the youth.
