  1. Time to dump DMW. If it does not work with 50/60% capacity it seems to be a disaster at full capacity.
  2. What ship? My understanding is that on Princess ships regular menus are available.
  3. Caribbean Princess returns to Ft. Lauderdale on November 3rd to begin its winter season. It sails from Quebec City on Oct 20.
  4. Different each evening. Guest entertainers may do a few different shows.
  5. No Princess ships in the Caribbean at that time, plus it is the heart of hurricane season. Some return in October.
  6. Have done this cruise with Bora Bora instead of three days in Tahiti. Unfortunately Bora Bora now allows only small ships to anchor there. We loved the cruise because we enjoy sea days. There are 19 of them, 8 straight at the end. Unless the Crown Princess gets their propulsion issues resolved the itinerary may be modified. For that reason I would select March to give Princess additional time to correct the issues. There are only two stops in Samoa, American Samoa and Samoa. Both of these ports are interesting, but limited tours and activities. Note that if you take the March trip you will go to sleep on Friday March 31 and wake up the next morning on Friday March 31. Two ports in French Polynesia, not 4. You will have 3 days, 2 overnights in Papeete. There are tours and other activities there. Not much on Moorea. Just one small store near the pier and one small general store up the street. Believe there is a hotel that gives day passes. There are also some tours. If you book recommend you become active in the roll call. Port/Starboard, no difference. You are heading basically north & south.
  7. Princess decided to correct a dining system that was not broken so it could use the medallion app. The previous system only required some adjustments.
  8. Not the ones you mention. You can easily spot cabins with extended balconies by referring to the deck plans. Most of the deluxe balcony cabins with larger balconies are on deck 9. Some are aft on various decks. https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=EX
  9. Nice. You might also look at the pricing and additional benefits for Princess Premier Fare. Additional notes: OBC is available for military vets and for those that own shares of Carnival Corp. stock. Look up Princess Military Benefit Program as well as Carnival Corp. Shareholder Benefit on line.
  10. Freedom Dining (What Princess called Anytime Dining) as well as Traditional Dining has been replaced by Dine My Way (DMW). Passengers have reported that they have shown up at anytime and they will be seated as tables become available. The vision for DMW was that you decided each day what time you wanted to dine then went into the app to book that time or something near that time. DMW also was intended to provide you with the ability to book a single time each day for the entire cruise or different times for the entire cruise before you board. From what I have read it is filled with issues.
  11. Way easier to take private transportation from S.F. Airport to your hotel and from the hotel to the ship. Also I would select a hotel somewhere near Fisherman's Warf area and the pier. There is nothing really around the airport area to do or see. I would also recommend at least two days early as there is lots to see and do in S.F.
  12. Believe the reaction would be positive from all.
  13. Soda by the can not included for free. It is included at a 25% discount.
  14. Club Class is not an add on. You must be booked in a club class mini suite to receive the club class benefits. You would have to search to see if any club class minis are currently available for your cruise and then change your booking.
  15. If you send your laundry out it is charged by the piece, not by the bag and there is no unlimited pricing available for purchase. There is a laundry ticket that you fill out. It will be in your closet. Someone on these boards probably has a photo of the ticket. A typical bag of T shirts, PJs, underwear, shorts, pants would be around $50 or so. Passengers in full suites as well as elite loyalty level passengers receive unlimited comp. laundry.
