We enjoy the sp restaurants and typically take a package which saves you money- Book a package and watch the pricing. If pricing decreases, cancel and rebook. Enjoy your cruise.
Loved the ship! We did a b/2/b the week before you and New Years week. Will be on her again this march! We really enjoyed dinner at Eden and the Grill. The steakhouse and Le Petite chef were also good.
Interesting that you booked AQ. Concierge class gives you the same perks- without the spa and blu access and is typically much cheaper. The money saved could be used to book specialty dinners. Cabins the same as balcony cabins with a few alleged perks. If you go to Blu, go early so no problem getting in. Or dine late- between six and eight crowded.
My DH and I no longer go on ship sponsored tours. Hate waiting on line for the late people- dislike craming into buses, especially now. We do prefer an independent tour or a small private ship sponsored tour. Depending upon the country, can be risky to take an independent tour. If the tour comes back late- the ship might leave if not ship sponsored.
just google celebrity move up and go to the website directly. We have previously done this with no problem. However we have noticed depending upon the category the rates are now obscene. We are priced out of the move up market. We book early and get great deals.
That is why by DH and I stay away from buffets in general. Both of us have witnessed many times people not washing after using restrooms, and picking up food from their plates while grabbing a utensil to get more. Yuk.
We had a nice trip because we sailed with family- but after a long covid break, we expected more- Hope that the ship is refurbished as it needs it so badly. We have two royal cruises booked in the future, one Oasis of the Seas and another Icon of the seas.
As they say- you snooze you lose. We book the packages as soon as we book the cruise. If the price goes down- we cancel and rebook. You need to check prices often as they vary from week to week.
We were on the Adventure off the Seas last June. Food horrible in the windjammer. Food served high school cafeteria style. People breaking into the lines. The MDR also had poor service and mediocre food. We sailed on the Oasis in August- limited our dining to suite restaurant and specialty restaurants- food so much better. Hope that the old RC ships revise the windjammer with stations like celebrity ships.
Went on the Edge during its inaugural session. Eden was IMO horrible- interactive with characters interfering with dinner. Food fair. However, just got off the Apex and tried Eden again for dinner. What a change- the food excellent and service great. No more disney like characters interfering with your dinner. The dinning room is on the lower lever and above is a bar and club. Some performances and entertainment in that venue- but doesn't interfer with your dinner. Heard now the Edge Eden the same. Give it a try. My husband said the steak was better then what he had at the steak house. Also try the grill on the top of the ship. Enjoy
Unless you can do a Royal suite- the other suites do not offer another bath or 1/2 bath. The sky suites too small for more then two or three with a child.
Two attached cabins best. You get two bathrooms and privacy. Lots of storage for each. Buy the refreshment package for her. Surely you don't want to carry water on your vacation. Plenty of activities going on the ship all year round including holiday periods. I would uber to the port. We fly in the day before and book a chain hotel. All ok. We send out wash on a 7 night cruise. Get internet packages for whoever uses it the most- you can share.
