No need. Just read posts on here , inside cabin, don't drink,never pay for meals, no excursions etc.

Last couple we have had plenty of OBC. so the bill has been just about nil. Discount not starting till all the OBC has gone. RC and NCL give out some decent goodies like free drinks ,speciality meals, extra OBC. etc. With P&O the cruise price is quite low, as are the loyalty benefits. We get 15% discount with Warners.😁

A bit of both really. In truth the P&O scheme is a bit poor, compared with others.

I can imagine the conversation in the kitchen...Chef..Sir..this is the best pie that you have ever created..a pie magnifique, truly remarkable....followed by a round of applause. This must be recommended to the discerning diners on Celebration night so that all can enjoy.....then it gets dissed on cc by folk who will never get to taste it....typical🤔🥮

In NCL you get more points for ' premium ' cabins.

Vamps....do it..We moved our October Canaries cruise on Iona to a Caribbean on Britannia. We have now visited about 20 Islands and love them all ( well, perhaps not Trinidad ).

We have started to skip formal nights, but eat in "allowed " speciality restaurants instead. More revenue for them when we opt out.

We cruise in the Caribbean as well as hotel based. Hep A, diphtheria,polio,tetanus, precautions against getting bitten by bugs. so no malaria, dengue,Zica virus. On a cruise you could get away with less, but it's only every few years.

That would be for spending a third of your life on a P&O ship. They could reward you with a large mug.

On 50 years of holidays and 20+ years of cruising, including 7 post covid cruises, I have had Noro once in a hotel on Lanzarote, some years ago .We both had covid once, possibly caught in MacDonalds ( but perhaps not ). Petri fied of Woking.🤣

We always get a window cabin on Brittany ferries. Overnight it is dark and they are often in need of a good clean....but.🤣

Cheese and bacon burger with chips at the pub for lunch. Didn't take a picture so will describe it. 6oz beef burger in a bun with cheese and bacon on top....and chips.🍔🥓🧀

As the chef cooked it, he may consider it is the bestest pie ever. Yum, yum.

We booked a bargain package from a TA on Azura. £729 each. Take off the cost of 3 nights hotel, transfers and BA scheduled flights, the cost of the cruise is less than £400. We have been given a cabin underneath the back of the buffet/beach house, but at that price who cares.

Hope it clears up. I have no medical training, but can offer a good tip...don't lick it.

Had an email today from Celebrity with some cut price deals over the next few months. Interesting times.

On Azura in February, we left behind about £3. Next month we are back on with no OBC. No doubt P&O will have my £3 waiting on my account. They won't forget will they ?

At the moment if we cancel and rebook, losing our deposit, but still getting premium seats, we save about £150. Not worth it, but a few months to go yet. Just an exercise of watching prices, not getting to uptight. If the price drops a few hundred more...we will see, but a nice holiday is the main priority.

Various options..If the price drops again fairly soon, cancel and rebook, assuming premium seats still available. See if moving to a superior cabin on the same cruise is an option.Pay the balance and enjoy the £700 OBC. The lesson has been learnt not to book early. We have been deciding which beach bars will be 2 beds, 2 beers and which will be Rum punch and a mudslide. Probably back to the boatyard on the Friday ,or perhaps fishery. Saving some money would be good, but not a major consideration.

I don't expect that deal to be available next year, but will leave a gap..just in case.
